Optimizations and applications in large-scale scenes of Monte Carlo geometry conversion code CMGC

In response to the demand for rapid geometric modeling in Monte Carlo radiation transportation calculations for large-scale and complex geometric scenes,functional improvements,and algorithm optimizations were performed using CAD-to-Monte Carlo geometry conversion(CMGC)*** representation(BRep)to constructive solid geometry(CSG)conversion and visual CSG modeling were combined to address the problem of non-convertible geometries such as spline *** splitting surface assessment method in BRep-to-CSG conversion was optimized to reduce the number of Boolean operations using an Open ***,in turn,reduced the probability of CMGC conversion *** auxiliary surface generation algorithm was optimized to prevent the generation of redundant auxiliary surfaces that cause an excessive decomposition of CAD geometry *** optimizations enhanced the usability and stability of the CMGC model *** was applied successfully to the JMCT transportation calculations for the conceptual designs of five China Fusion engineering Test Reactor(CFETR)*** rapid replacement of different blanket schemes was achieved based on the baseline CFETR *** geometric solid number of blankets ranged from hundreds to tens of *** correctness of the converted CFETR models using CMGC was verified through comparisons with the MCNP calculation *** CMGC supported radiation field evaluations for a large urban scene and detailed ship *** enabled the rapid conversion of CAD models with thousands of geometric solids into Monte Carlo CSG *** analysis of the JMCT transportation simulation results further demonstrated the accuracy and effectiveness of the CMGC.

Stereo image pairs offer complementary information that can improve the performance of image super-resolution reconstruction significantly. However, integrating longrange dependencies between stereo image pairs into super-resolution is challenging. This paper proposes a Swin Transformer-based cross-view attention network for stereo image super-resolution (TCASSRnet) to address this issue. Firstly, TCASSRnet extracts stereo image pair features using a Transformer with a shallow residual block (SRB). Next, a cross-view attention model (CAM) is introduced to integrate complementary features of stereo image pairs, resulting in high-frequency and low-frequency attention maps. Finally, deep residual blocks (DRBs) are employed to restore image details layer by layer and reconstruct super-resolution images. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of TCASSRnet. Specifically, TCASSRnet outperforms the baseline network (PASSRnet) by 0.55 dB in terms of PSNR on the Middlebury dataset for 4× SR, while the parameter size of TCASSRnet is reduced by 50% compared to the recent SSRDE-Fnet. © 2023 IEEE.

Determining the mass of plutonium metal is an important research objective in the field of nuclear material accounting and *** on the 3D neutron and photon transport code JMCT(Jointed Monte Carlo Transport),the gamma ray multiplicity of ^(240)Pu was simulated in this study,and the average number of gamma rays leaking from ^(240)Pu solid spheres with different masses was also *** simulation results show that there is a oneto-one correspondence between the average number of gamma rays and the mass of ^(240)Pu solid spheres in the range of 0.50–3.00 *** result provides a basis for using the average number of gamma rays to account for the mass of ^(240)Pu.

In order to study the total dose effect and hardness assurance technology for the bipolar devices, various technologies are performed on Gate-Controlled Lateral PNP bipolar junction transistors (BJT). Modeling of defect complexes is accomplished by adding an additional drift-diffusion equation for trapped holes and interface traps, which are calculated by gate sweep characterization technique. Combined with the coupled ionization damage trap model, ionization damage effects on GCLPNP are simulated on the semiconductor multi-physical parallel computing program JEMS-CDS-Device, a domestic software solve electric-carrier transport-thermal problem. The phenomena of excess base current and current gain degradation in GCLPNP Gummel sweep are successfully simulated via numerical calculation. © 2021 IEEE

Krylov subspace algorithms are important methods for solving linear systems. In order to efficiently solve large-scale linear systems, parallelism techniques are often applied. However, parallelism often enlarge the non-Associativity of floating-point operations, which can lead to non-reproducibility of the computations. This paper compares the performance of the parallel preconditioned BiCGSTAB algorithm implemented with two different libraries (ExBLAS and ReproBLAS) that can ensure the reproducibility of computations. To address the effect of the compiler, we explicitly utilize the FMA instructions. Finally, numerical experiments show that based on two BLAS implementations, the BiCGSTAB algorithms are reproducible. By contrast, the BiCGSTAB algorithm based on ExBLAS is more accurate but more time-consuming than the one based on ReproBLAS. © 2023 ACM.

A Structured Grid Generation Scheme Based on Multi-Block Topology and Elliptic Pde Optimizer for Rotating Machinery

With the widespread application of numerical simulation in aeroengine, it is crucial to automatically and efficiently generate structured grids for rotating components. Therefore, a comprehensive automatic structured grid generation scheme has been established. This system is based on multi-block structured grid generation methods including automatic generation of geometric models, construction of topologies, generation and optimization of grids. The generated grids were compared with commercial software, and the results show that this system implements an integrated platform from geometric modeling to multi-block structured grid generation. Firstly, For the Rotor37 model, LONGCHI-Grid has increased the efficiency of grid generation by about 60%, and the four evaluation indicators have been improved by 34.5%, 55.6%, 57.0%, and 69.2% compared to the traditional manual meshing mode, respectively. Furthermore, compared to the AutoGrid, this system has improved the Max aspect ratio and Max expansion factor by 39.6% and 25.0%, respectively. However, for fans with large blade distortion, there is not significantly different between them, except for a 56.9% decrease in max aspect ratio. For complex multi-stage compressors, the max aspect ratio has improved by 48.7%, while slightly decrease in other indicators. Finally, numerical simulations were conducted to compare the results of both schemes, and the consistency results verified the feasibility of the established program. This system provides technical support for the application of numerical simulation techniques in aeroengine. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Significant advancements have been achieved in the field of Single Image Super-Resolution(SISR)through the utilization of Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs)to attain state-of-the-art *** efforts have explored the incorporation of Transformers to augment network performance in ***,the high computational cost of Transformers makes them less suitable for deployment on lightweight ***,the majority of enhancements for CNNs rely predominantly on small spatial convolutions,thereby neglecting the potential advantages of large kernel *** this paper,the authors propose a Multi-Perception Large Kernel convNet(MPLKN)which delves into the exploration of large kernel ***,the authors have architected a Multi-Perception Large Kernel(MPLK)module aimed at extracting multi-scale features and employ a stepwise feature fusion strategy to seamlessly integrate these *** addition,to enhance the network's capacity for nonlinear spatial information processing,the authors have designed a Spatial-Channel Gated Feed-forward Network(SCGFN)that is capable of adapting to feature interactions across both spatial and channel *** results demonstrate that MPLKN outperforms other lightweight image super-resolution models while maintaining a minimal number of parameters and FLOPs.

Radiative Darcy-Forchheimer fluid Flow under Buongiorno model in a Moving Thin Needle with MHD and Entropy Generation

In this study, the Darcy-Forchheimer fluid flow in a thin needle with entropy generation is scrutinized. Nonlinear thermal radiation and MHD are considered. The consequences of Darcy flow along with Joule heating effect, Brownian motion and thermophoresis are scrutinized. Variable viscosity as well as thermal conductivity is the art of current study. To get a solution by using HAM, systems of PDEs are transmuted into non-dimensional forms by using similarity transformation. Influence of porosity parameter, Prandtl number, variable viscosity parameter, size of the needle, inertial parameter, buoyancy ratio parameter, MHD and variable thermal conductivity parameters, thermophoresis parameter and Brownian motion parameter on dimensionless cocentration, Sherwood number, velocity, temperature and Nusselt number, skin friction are explored by graphical representation. It is perceived that flow with variable thermal conductivity and viscosity is expressively dissimilar and genuine in associated with constant properties-based flow. Velocity and Temperature profile have converse influence for greater estimate of magnetic field. Larger Prandtl number declines the temperature. Amplification in values of thermal radiation parameters improved the temperature profile. © 2023, CC BY.
