With the trend of WiFi pervasively applied in life, WiFi multicast has gained extensive attention in rich multimedia content provision. Unfortunately, the multicast rates remain low in crowded scenarios with severe interference and collisions. Moreover, existing channel allocation algorithms lack in-depth study on per-user throughput requirements. This paper proposes a multi-priority task channel allocation method with task channel-switching to maximize the weighted user's throughput satisfaction rate. In this method, we first design a 0-1 integer nonlinear programming model to describe the channel allocation problem in the scenario of a WiFi multicast task and other tasks with different priorities. Then, to lower the complexity of solving integer nonlinear programming problems, we design a greedy algorithm to obtain high-efficiency channel allocation solutions. The simulation results validate the efficiency of our proposed method in terms of user throughput satisfaction rate. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper will introduce an online system innovation, the Learning Resource center (LRC) with a Smartphone Mobile Quick Response (QR) Scanner, that would transform the Eastern Visayas State University Library's management of learning resources. The System development Life Cycle was successively implemented with strict adherence to the Waterfall Model. The system's backbone is harnessed from the eLib application, generating unique QR codes attached to every book and other resources in the Learning Resource center. The user scans the QR code using a smartphone and quickly displays the book title, date, and author in 3-5 seconds, for borrowing and returning each. In particular, the system's easy access via mobile and online empowers users to easily search, retrieve detailed information, check availability, and locate resources housed within the LRC. The eLib application excels in high-speed data processing, efficient inventory management, and report generation making it indispensable in running a modern library management system. © 2025 IEEE.

Equatorial plasma bubbles (EPBs) are a primary source of ionospheric irregularities (IIR) in low-latitude regions. The severity of EPBs depends on the intensity, penetration, and disturbance of electric fields generated in the ionosphere. In this work, we analyze the IIR associated with geomagnetic activity in the low-latitude region (0°N–25°N, 90°E–110°E) from 2022 to 2024. The total electron content (TEC) and the rate of TEC index (ROTI) are used to investigate the spatiotemporal characteristics of these IIRs, influenced by both local EPBs and global geomagnetic storms. During low-to-moderate geomagnetic activity, electric field penetration and disturbances have a low impact on EPB development. The high solar activity intensifies the electric field, leading to intense EPB occurrences that can affect the entire region for several hours. From January 2022 to October 2024, these intense EPB events accounted for 35% of all EPB occurrences. During strong geomagnetic storms, the prompt penetration of electric fields (PPEF), and disturbance dynamo electric field (DDEF) caused the depression and fluctuations of TECs. © 2025 The Authors

In this letter, a high performance 300GHz IQ mixer is developed with detailed package design method, including integrated chip selection, probe design, DC power supply arrangement and gold wire bonding. Based on an advanced silicon-based chip and low-loss package design, a 300GHz IQ mixer module with high performance has been fabricated. At room temperature, the measured results show that the minimum single sideband conversion loss of the mixer is less than 5 dB in the range of 275-297GHz. And the isolation and phase difference between two IF ports are higher than 28dB and ~90 degrees, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

Improving irrigation water management is a key concern for the agricultural sector,and it requires extensive and comprehensive tools that provide a complete knowledge of crop water use and *** study presents a novel methodology to explicitly estimate daily gross and net crop water requirements,actual crop water use,and irrigation efficiency ofcenter pivot irrigation systems,by mainly utilizing the Sentinel-2 MultiSpectral Instrument(MSI)imagery at the farm *** model is adapted to estimate actual water use(as the sum of canopy transpiration and evaporation of water intercepted by canopy and evaporation from soil)at daily/10-m resolution,benefiting from the high-resolution Sentinel-2 data and thus to assess the irrigation efficiency at the farm *** gross irrigation water requirement is estimated from the net crop water requirement and the water loss,including the water droplet evaporation directly into the air during application before droplets fall on the canopy and canopy interception *** method was applied to a pilot farmland with two major crops(wheat and potato)in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China,where modern equipment and appropriate irrigation methods are deployed for efficient water *** estimated actual crop water use showed good agreement with the ground observations,*** determination coefficients range from 0.67 to 0.81 and root mean square errors range from 0.56mm/day to 1.24mm/day for wheat and potato when comparing the estimated evapo-transpiration with the measurement by the eddy covariance *** also showed that the losses of total irrigated volume were 25.4％for wheat and 23.7％for potato,respectively,and found that the water allocation was insufficient to meet the water requirement in this irrigated *** suggests that the amount of water applied was insufficient to meet the crop water requirement and the inherent water losses in the center pivot irrigation system,which imply the necessit

With the widespread application of automotive radar, the likelihood of inter-radar interference has significantly increased, especially in complex urban environments. Utilizing advanced waveforms is crucial for radar anti-interference. This paper investigates the anti-interference capabilities of automotive radar using the Random Stepped-Frequency (RSF) waveform. Initially, we analyze automotive radar interference under traditional Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW). Subsequently, we explore the anti-interference principle of the RSF waveform by deriving its signal model. Finally, numerous experiments are conducted to demonstrate the superior anti-interference performance of the RSF waveform. The results indicated that the RSF waveform markedly reduces radar signal collision probability in both time and frequency domains, thereby reducing the interference probability of radar. © 2024 IEEE.

SAR image simulation is a technology that simulates SAR image features or the working process of SAR systems on a computer platform to obtain simulated SAR images. It overcomes the high cost and long cycle of obtaining SAR images with different parameters in real SAR systems, and plays an important role in SAR system development and algorithm *** paper aims to solve the problems in existing technologies by providing a method for predicting multi-spaceborne polarimetric SAR images using airborne high-resolution SAR data. The correlation model between polarimetric distortion parameters, target polarimetric complex data information (including amplitude and phase), and the echoes of various polarimetric channels on board the satellite was reconstructed to generate and imaged the spaceborne SAR echoes. This simulation method was validated and evaluated through airborne and spaceborne SAR data. The results showed that the accuracy of typical scene similarity and polarimetric feature similarity estimation was better than 80%. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

Weibo is one of the top social media platforms in China, similar to X/Twitter. There are many fake accounts on Weibo who may have various negative impacts on the platform and community. However, most existing work on fake user datasets and detection models is concentrated on X/Twitter, with little consideration given to Weibo. In this paper, we first review some methods for detecting fake accounts on social networking platforms. Secondly, we introduce a dataset called Weibo-FA dataset collected from the Weibo platform, which contains profile information of both fake and genuine accounts. Then Weibo-FA dataset is compared with a baseline dataset using several basic machine learning models and neural networks to evaluate its applicability in traditional models. Subsequently, the Weibo-FA dataset is employed to train two state-of-the-art neural network-based models to demonstrate its suitability for advanced models. The test results are compared with related work. Regarding the results, they indicate that the proposed Weibo-FA dataset exhibits good usability and completeness. It not only enhances the performance of traditional simple models but also achieves high accuracy in detecting fake accounts for advanced complex models. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Improving Speaker Verification Back-End with Graph Neural Networks

Currently, research on speaker verification tasks is primarily concentrated on enhancing deep speaker models to extract high-quality speaker embeddings. Nevertheless, this speaker embeddings can be regarded as potential graph structures. Therefore, this paper introduces a graph neural network-based speaker verification back-end approach, treating the speaker embeddings derived from the front-end as graph structures and leveraging graph neural networks to uncover the relationships among embeddings, thereby achieving superior-quality speaker embeddings. In addition, we propose a group updating method to solve the problem of memory overflow when the number of nodes is excessive. Extensive experiments and ablation studies were carried out on the VoxCeleb dataset, and the experimental outcomes validate the effectiveness of our proposed graph neural network speaker back-end in significantly boosting the performance of speaker verification systems.
