Image detection based on machine learning and deep learning currently has a good application prospect for railway fault diagnosis,with good performance in feature extraction and the accuracy of image localization and good classification *** improve the speed of locating small target objects of fasteners,the YOLOv5 framework model with faster algorithm speed is *** improve the classification accuracy of fasteners,YOLOv5-based heavy-duty railway rail fastener detection is *** anchor size is modified on the original basis to improve the attention to small targets of *** CBAM(Convolutional Block Attention Module)module and TPH(Transformer Prediction Head)module are introduced to improve the speed and accuracy *** rail fasteners are divided into 6 *** comparisons show that before the improvement,the MAP@0.5 value of all categories are close to the peak of 0.989 after the epoch of 150,and the F1 score approaches 1 with confidence in the interval(0.2,0.95).The improved mAP@0.5 value approached the highest value of 0.991 after the epoch of 75,and the F1 score approached 1 with confidence in the interval(0.01,0.95).The experiment results indicate that the improved YOLOv5 model proposed in this paper is more suitable for the task of detecting rail fasteners.

The emergence of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) and advanced communication technologies are believed to greatly alleviate traffic issues. However, it would be a long time before the CAVs reach a full market penetration rate, which means a mixed traffic flow of CAVs and traditional human-driving vehicles is inevitable and subsequent emerging issues may raise. Correspondingly, this study systematically reviews the literature on the impacts of the CAVs on the car-following, lane-changing, and merging behaviors of human-driving drivers on highways. This study is based on 42 key papers of the influence of driving behavior from Web Of Science and Science Direct in the last five years. The results show that the influence of the car-following behavior on human drivers is usually determined by the time headway (THW) and the car-following stability. The difference of lane-changing behavior is often studied by means of lane-changing gap and human driver’s perception. The literature on merging behavior mainly focuses on the merging efficiency of vehicles and the driver’s feeling. In addition, many studies have established a behavior model considering the interaction between two types of vehicles in a mixed flow scenario, which is the focus of current and future research. Besides, previously, virtual simulation and driving simulation are prevailing approaches for the study of impacts of CAVs, leaving the challenges of field test and validations under varying traffic and roadway situations, especially for the safety critical scenarios.

Facial emotion recognition helps feed the growth of the future artificial intelligence with the development of emotion recognition,learning,and analysis of different angles of a human face and head *** worlds recent pandemic gave rise to the rapid installment of facial recognition for fewer applications,while emotion recognition is still within the experimental *** current challenges encountered with facial emotion recognition(FER) are the difference between background *** todays world shows us that humans soon need robotics in the most significant role of human perception,attention,memory,decision-making,and human-robot interaction(HRI) needs *** merging the head pose as a combination towards the FER to boost the robustness in understanding emotions using the convolutional neural networks(CNN).The stochastic gradient descent with a comprehensive model is adopted by applying multi-task learning capable of implicit parallelism,inherent and better global optimizer in finding better network *** executing a multi-task learning model using two independent datasets,the experiment with the FER and head pose learning multi-views co-regularization frameworks were subsequently merged with validation accuracy.

Drilling rate of penetration(ROP) optimization is crucial due to its vital role in increasing the drilling efficiency and decreasing the non-productive *** existing methods seldom pay attention to updating model parameter during drilling,which is actually important for ROP optimization under dynamical and uncertain downhole *** this paper,an online drilling ROP optimization method is proposed via three stages(drilling data pre-processing,online ROP modelling and online optimal operational parameters optimization).In the first stage,drilling data is pre-processed by resampling and Savitzky-Golay *** this,support vector regression and moving-window strategy are introduced together to establish an online ROP model in the next ***,particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied in the online ROP optimization framework to obtain the optimal operational parameters in the last *** results indicated the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Hydrogen generation through seawater electrolysis provides a promising,attractive pathway towards the utilization of sustainable ***,the catalytic activity and stability of oxygen evolution anode are severely limited by the chloride-induced corrosion and competitive oxidation *** this work,we demonstrate an anion-assisted performance improvement strategy by quick and universal screening of electrolyte additive via correlating Cl-repellency with the anionic ***,the addition of phosphate ions is found to enable highly stable alkaline seawater splitting at industry-level current density(0.5 A cm^(-2))over 500 h using transition metal hydroxides as anodic *** situ experiments and theoretical simulations further reveal that the dynamic anti-corrosion behaviors of surface-adsorbed phosphate ions are attributed to three factors including repelling Cl-ions without significantly blocking OH-diffusion,preventing transition metal dissolution and acting as a local pH buffer to compensate the fast OH-consumption under high current electrolysis.

Distributed computing resources are aggregated in a high-performance computing environment. The resources are appropriately allocated according to the user assignments. However, current resources scheduling strategies overly focus on system performance rather than the user fairness. Moreover, most strategies lack the environment adaptability. In order to solve these problems, this paper selects five different priority variables and proposes a multi-dimensional intelligent heterogeneous resource scheduling method for a high-performance cluster. It introduces the job environment queue, refines the state of the job system layer, optimizes the job priority scheduling strategy, and uses the genetic algorithm to optimize the priority parameters to increase the configurability of the job scheduling strategy. Using the algorithm, the overall performance of the platform is enhanced by 12.3% based on the PBS (Portable Batch system) scheduling system. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Highly transparent 0.5 and 1.0 at%Pr-doped Y_(2)O_(3)ceramics were fabricated by vacuum sintering plus hot isostatic pressing(HIP)*** selection of suitable pre-sintering temperatures and right microstructures before HIP was critical to obtain high density of the final sintered *** well-densified ceramics had pore-free microstructures with an average grain size of about 1μ*** was also found that the charge states of the Pr ions could be changed through regulating the annealing atmospheres,resulting in different absorption and emission characteristics in the visible wavelength *** in reducing atmosphere(5%H_(2)/95%Ar)favored the formation of Pr^(3+),resulting in stronger red emissions,while annealing in oxygen atmosphere led to the rise of lattice constant due to the concentration increase of oxygen *** H_(2)/Ar-annealed 0.5 at%Pr:Y_(2)O_(3)ceramics exhibited strong red emission at 600–675 nm,which may be a promising gain material for red solid-state lasers.

In the summer of 2017, 2018, and 2019, the center for research in education in advanced transportation engineering systems (CREATEs) at Rowan University hosted the National Summer transportation Institute. The goal of this program is to provide high school students exposure to transportation engineering and other transportation-related education paths. More than 50% from underrepresented minority groups, including women, African Americans, and Hispanics/Latinos attended the two-week program. In 2017, the program was a non-residential, four-week program;2018 was a two-week residential program and, in 2019, the program was a two-week non-residential program. In all programs, the students explored different modes of transportation, such air, road, rail, water, with an overarching theme of safety and sustainability. The experience was provided through a) hands-on experiments;b) field trips;and c) federal, state and industry speakers. This paper presents the findings of the students' career choices and what aspects of the NSTI program, if any, impacted them the most. This paper also provides a blueprint to other NSTI programs across the country as they design their own curriculum. © American Society for engineering education, 2021

Andrias davidianus(Chinese giant salamander,CGS)is the largest and oldest extant amphibian species in the world and is a source of prospective functional food in ***,the progress of functional peptides mining was slow due to lack of reference genome and protein sequence *** this study,we illustrated full-length transcriptome sequencing to interpret the proteome of CGS meat and obtain 10703 coding DNA *** functional annotation and amino acid composition analysis,we have discovered various genes related to signal transduction,and 16 genes related to *** have also found vast variety of functional peptides through protein coding sequence(CDS)analysis by comparing the data obtained with the functional peptide ***-Pro-Ile predicted by the CDS analysis was released from the CGS meat through enzymatic hydrolysis,suggesting that our approach is *** study suggested that transcriptomic analysis can be used as a reference to guide polypeptide mining in CGS meat,thereby providing a powerful mining strategy for the bioresources with unknown genomic and proteomic sequences.
