The objective of this paper is audio-visual synchronisation of general videos 'in the wild'. For such videos, the events that may be harnessed for synchronisation cues may be spatially small and may occur only infrequently during a many seconds-long video clip, i.e. the synchronisation signal is 'sparse in space and time'. This contrasts with the case of synchronising videos of talking heads, where audio-visual correspondence is dense in both time and space. We make four contributions: (i) in order to handle longer temporal sequences required for sparse synchronisation signals, we design a multi-modal transformer model that employs 'selectors' to distil the long audio and visual streams into small sequences that are then used to predict the temporal offset between streams. (ii) We identify artefacts that can arise from the compression codecs used for audio and video and can be used by audio-visual models in training to artificially solve the synchronisation task. (iii) We curate a dataset with only sparse in time and space synchronisation signals;and (iv) the effectiveness of the proposed model is shown on both dense and sparse datasets quantitatively and qualitatively. © 2022. Energy is essential to practically all exercises and is imperative for the development of personal ***,valuable energy has been in great demand for many years,especially for using smart homes and structures,as individuals quickly improve their way of life depending on current ***,there is a shortage of energy,as the energy required is higher than that *** new plans are being designed to meet the consumer’s energy *** many regions,energy utilization in the housing area is 30%–40%.The growth of smart homes has raised the requirement for intelligence in applications such as asset management,energy-efficient automation,security,and healthcare monitoring to learn about residents’actions and forecast their future *** overcome the challenges of energy consumption optimization,in this study,we apply an energy management *** fusion has recently attracted much energy efficiency in buildings,where numerous types of information are *** proposed research developed a data fusion model to predict energy consumption for accuracy and miss *** results of the proposed approach are compared with those of the previously published techniques and found that the prediction accuracy of the proposed method is 92%,which is higher than the previously published approaches.

Nowadays, microservices-based applications such as E-Business, E-Healthcare, 3D-Gaming, and Augmented Reality have latterly drawn attention in the research area. The microservices enabled applications are different from traditional monolithic applications with high demand of security and fault detection, therefore, a lightweight secure and failure detection enabled schemes widely required for the new applications. This paper proposes a new lightweight microservices mobile cloud (Mob-Cloud) framework that replaces the heavyweight virtual machine (VM) based on mobile cloud computing (MCC). The study devises MFHE (Modified Fully Homomorphism Encryption) and WATFA (Workload Assignment Transient Fault Aware) schemes to deal with security and failures. (Image Present) Multimodal large language models have unlocked new possibilities for various multimodal tasks. However, their potential in image manipulation detection remains unexplored. When directly applied to the IMD task, M-LLMs often produce reasoning texts that suffer from hallucinations and overthinking. To address this, in this work, we propose ForgerySleuth, which leverages M-LLMs to perform comprehensive clue fusion and generate segmentation outputs indicating specific regions that are tampered with. Moreover, we construct the ForgeryAnalysis dataset through the Chain-of-Clues prompt, which includes analysis and reasoning text to upgrade the image manipulation detection task. A data engine is also introduced to build a larger-scale dataset for the pre-training phase. Our extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of ForgeryAnalysis and show that ForgerySleuth significantly outperforms existing methods in generalization, robustness, and explainability. The recent wave of AI-generated content (AIGC) has witnessed substantial success in computer vision, with the diffusion model playing a crucial role in this achievement. Due to their impressive generative capabilities, diffusion models are gradually superseding methods based on GANs and auto-regressive Transformers, demonstrating exceptional performance not only in image generation and editing, but also in the realm of video-related research. However, existing surveys mainly focus on diffusion models in the context of image generation, with few up-to-date reviews on their application in the video domain. To address this gap, this paper presents a comprehensive review of video diffusion models in the AIGC era. Specifically, we begin with a concise introduction to the fundamentals and evolution of diffusion models. Subsequently, we present an overview of research on diffusion models in the video domain, categorizing the work into three key areas: video generation, video editing, and other video understanding tasks. We conduct a thorough review of the literature in these three key areas, including further categorization and practical contributions in the field. Finally, we discuss the challenges faced by research in this domain and outline potential future developmental trends. Rural areas in developing countries are plagued with complex, intricate challenges. In India, rural communities are seriously lagging regarding Sanitation and Waste management facilities. The majority of communities lack the resources to address those issues. Government programs have partly been able to address those issues, but much still needs to be done to solve the challenges completely. This study aimed to understand better the challenges associated with Solid Waste Management in rural India. It specifically explores how technology can help to complete the last mile of sustainability through a user-centered and participatory problem-solving approach. To obtain diverse scenarios for collaboratively training a more generalized object detector, the multi-source domain adaptive object detection has been proposed. However, such scenario faces challenges related to data privacy, domain discrepancy and category inconsistency, thus we propose a framework called FedCoin: Federated Contrastive domain-adaptation for category-inconsistent object detection. On the client sides, a novel dynamic model contrastive strategy is proposed to reduce excessively domain-specific features from local models. On the server side, we design a two-stage teacher-student architecture to tackle the challenge of backbone aggregation and inconsistent categories integration. Our method outperforms SOTA methods across different domain adaptation tasks, with an average precision increase of 6% on various datasets, demonstrating its superiority over existing methods for category-inconsistent and privacy-preserving scenarios. A fault in large online service systems often triggers numerous alerts due to the complex business and component dependencies among services, which is known as “alert storm”. In a short time, an online service system may generate a huge amount of alert data. This poses a challenge for on-call engineers to identify alerts that are associated with a system failure for root cause analysis. In this paper, we propose DyAlert, a dynamic graph neural networks-based approach for linking alerts that might be triggered by a same fault to reduce the burden of on-call engineers in the fault analysis. Our insight is that alerts are often triggered by alert propagation when a system failure occurs, e.g., alert $a$ would lead to the occurrence of alert $b$ . Whether two alerts should be linked depends on if one alert is triggered by the propagation of the other. Leveraging this insight, we design a dynamic graph (namely Alert-Metric Dynamic Graph) that describes the propagation process of alerts. Based on the dynamic graph, we train a neural networks-based model to predict alert links. We evaluate DyAlert with real-world data collected from an online service system running 85 business units and about 30,000 different services in a large enterprise. The results show that DyAlert is effective in predicting alert links and it outperforms the state-of-the-art approaches with an average increase of 0.259 in F1-score.

Unlocking Textual and visual Wisdom: Open-Vocabulary 3D Object Detection Enhanced by Comprehensive Guidance from Text and Image

Open-vocabulary 3D object detection (OV-3DDet) aims to localize and recognize both seen and previously unseen object categories within any new 3D scene. While language and vision foundation models have achieved success in handling various open-vocabulary tasks with abundant training data, OV-3DDet faces a significant challenge due to the limited availability of training data. Although some pioneering efforts have integrated vision-language models (VLM) knowledge into OV-3DDet learning, the full potential of these foundational models has yet to be fully exploited. In this paper, we unlock the textual and visual wisdom to tackle the open-vocabulary 3D detection task by leveraging the language and vision foundation models. We leverage a vision foundation model to provide image-wise guidance for discovering novel classes in 3D scenes. Specifically, we utilize a object detection vision foundation model to enable the zero-shot discovery of objects in images, which serves as the initial seeds and filtering guidance to identify novel 3D objects. Additionally, to align the 3D space with the powerful vision-language space, we introduce a hierarchical alignment approach, where the 3D feature space is aligned with the vision-language feature space using a pre-trained VLM at the instance, category, and scene levels. Through extensive experimentation, we demonstrate significant improvements in accuracy and generalization, highlighting the potential of foundation models in advancing open-vocabulary 3D object detection in real-world scenarios. © 2024, CC BY.

The ground-state conformation of a molecule is often decisive for its properties. However, experimental or computational methods, such as density functional theory (DFT), are time-consuming and labor-intensive for obtaining this conformation. Deep learning (DL) based molecular representation learning (MRL) has made significant advancements in molecular modeling and has achieved remarkable results in various tasks. Consequently, it has emerged as a promising approach for directly predicting the ground-state conformation of molecules. In this regard, we introduce GTMGC, a novel network based on Graph-Transformer (GT) that seamlessly predicts the spatial configuration of molecules in a 3D space from their 2D topological architecture in an end-to-end manner. Moreover, we propose a novel self-attention mechanism called Molecule Structural Residual Self-Attention (MSRSA) for molecular structure modeling. This mechanism not only guarantees high model performance and easy implementation but also lends itself well to other molecular modeling tasks. Our method has been evaluated on the Molecule3D benchmark dataset and the QM9 dataset. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach achieves remarkable performance and outperforms current state-of-the-art methods as well as the widely used open-source software RDkit. © 2024 12th International Conference on Learning Representations, ICLR 2024.
