Memristors have also become one of the most promising research hotspots for solving data storage and computing problems faced in the big data era. As an emerging electronic device, memristor has potentially important applications in information storage and processing. This paper constructs a rod-shaped TiO2-x nanoscale memristor with FTO/TiO2-x/Cu structure, whose reliability is based on the memory behavior and its conversion mechanism. research progress including materials, preparation methods, resistive switching mechanism and application prospects are described. First, the constituent materials of memristor are introduced, focusing on metal oxides and organic materials such as titanium oxide (TiO2). The choice of these materials is critical to memristor performance and applications. Secondly, the advantages and limitations of the preparation methods are discussed. Then the resistance switching mechanism of memristor was studied in depth, focusing on the generation principle and adjustment mechanism of memristor effect. These include important concepts such as charge migration, Schottky barrier formation and oxygen vacancy drift, which help to understand the electrical properties of memristors. In addition, we explore the prospects of memristors in practical applications. Finally, past and current work in this field is summarized, and the prospects and challenges of memristorrelated research are prospected. © 2023 IEEE.

Leukemia, a malignant disease characterized by the rapid proliferation of specific types of white blood cells (WBC), has prompted increased interest in leveraging automatic WBC classification system. This study presents the design of a robust WBC classification system, integrating deep learning with microscopic image analysis. The proposed classification model is designed to categorize blood cells into four distinct groups: eosinophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, and neutrophil. The study employs a Kaggle image dataset for comprehensive learning. The dataset comprises 12,500 microscopic images used to categorize the four blood cell groups. To enhance performance and reduce the likelihood of overfitting, transfer learning techniques are employed. Six deep transfer learning models namely VGG16, ResNet50, AlexNet, MobileNet, GoogLeNet, and EfficientNetBO are used for feature extraction and classification. The results of the experiments show that VGG16 and MobileNet demonstrated enhancements compared to other pre-trained models when evaluated on both augmented and original datasets. A diverse set of evaluation criteria was employed to thoroughly assess the effectiveness of medical image classification. Notably, the VGG16 and MobileNet models accurately predicted Lymphocytes and Monocytes with a 100% accuracy rate, and Eosinophil and Neutrophil with rates of 99.35% and 99.81%, respectively. This research work empower medical practitioners, particularly in the field of pathology and hematology by providing advanced tools for accurate blood cell classification. The proposed VGG16 and MobileNet models hold promise for simplifying WBC classification, improving decision-making processes, and ultimately advancing patient care in the medical domain. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In past years, the world has switched to multi and many core shared memory architectures. As a result, there is a growing need to utilize these architectures by introducing shared memory parallelization schemes, such as OpenMP, to applications. Nevertheless, introducing OpenMP work-sharing loop construct into code, especially legacy code, is challenging due to pervasive pitfalls in management of parallel shared memory. To facilitate the performance of this task, many source-to-source (S2S) compilers have been created over the years, tasked with inserting OpenMP directives into code automatically. In addition to having limited robustness to their input format, these compilers still do not achieve satisfactory coverage and precision in locating parallelizable code and generating appropriate directives. In this work, we propose leveraging recent advances in machine learning techniques, specifically in natural language processing (NLP), to suggest the need for an OpenMP work-sharing loop directive and data-sharing attributes clauses - the building blocks of concurrent programming. We train several transformer models, named PragFormer, for these tasks and show that they outperform statistically-trained baselines and automatic source-to-source (S2S) parallelization compilers in both classifying the overall need for an parallel for directive and the introduction of private and reduction clauses. In the future, our corpus can be used for additional tasks, up to generating entire OpenMP directives. Protein-protein interactions are of great significance for human to understand the functional mechanisms of *** the rapid development of high-throughput genomic technologies,massive protein-protein interaction(PPI)data have been generated,making it very difficult to analyze them *** address this problem,this paper presents a distributed framework by reimplementing one of state-of-the-art algorithms,i.e.,CoFex,using *** do so,an in-depth analysis of its limitations is conducted from the perspectives of efficiency and memory consumption when applying it for large-scale PPI data analysis and *** solutions are then devised to overcome these *** particular,we adopt a novel tree-based data structure to reduce the heavy memory consumption caused by the huge sequence information of *** that,its procedure is modified by following the MapReduce framework to take the prediction task distributively.A series of extensive experiments have been conducted to evaluate the performance of our framework in terms of both efficiency and *** results well demonstrate that the proposed framework can considerably improve its computational efficiency by more than two orders of magnitude while retaining the same high accuracy.

Spoken Language Understanding (SLU) is one of the core components of a task-oriented dialogue system, which aims to extract the semantic meaning of user queries (e.g., intents and slots). In this work, we introduce OpenSLU, an open-source toolkit to provide a unified, modularized, and extensible toolkit for spoken language understanding. Specifically, OpenSLU unifies 10 SLU models for both single-intent and multi-intent scenarios, which support both non-pretrained and pretrained models simultaneously. Additionally, OpenSLU is highly modularized and extensible by decomposing the model architecture, inference, and learning process into reusable modules, which allows researchers to quickly set up SLU experiments with highly flexible configurations. The fast Fourier transform (FFT) has applications in almost every frequency related study, for example, in image and signal processing, and radio astronomy. It is also used as a Poisson operator inversion kernel in partial differential equations in fluid flows, in density functional theory, many-body theory, and others. The three-dimensional (Figure presented.) FFT has large time complexity (Figure presented.). Hence, parallelization is used to compute such FFTs. Popular libraries perform slab division or pencil decomposition of (Figure presented.) data. None of the existing libraries achieve perfect inverse scaling of time with (Figure presented.) cores because FFT requires all-to-all communication and clusters hitherto do not have physical all-to-all connections. Dragonfly, one of the popular topologies for the interconnect, supports hierarchical connections among the components. We show that if we align the all-to-all communication of FFT with the physical connections of Dragonfly topology we will achieve a better scaling and reduce communication time. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

In document-level event extraction tasks, multiple event types often coexist within a document (the multi-event problem), and arguments may play different roles across different events (the argument intertwining problem). Existing methods often suffer from significantly reduced event extraction accuracy, mainly when focusing on scenarios with scarce annotated data and imbalanced event-type distributions. This paper emphasizes enhancing the correlation between event triggers and arguments to address these challenges. Therefore, we propose the Relation-Augmented UIE Model (RADIE), which introduces entity relationships into prompts using prompt-based learning and designs a relation-augmentation algorithm to improve the accuracy and completeness of event extraction. Experimental results demonstrate that this approach significantly outperforms baseline methods, mainly showcasing excellent performance on datasets with long-tail distributions. © 2024 IEEE.

Pulsars, rapidly rotating neutron stars, have been crucial topics in astrophysics since their discovery. The advent of deep learning offers a novel method for the efficient classification of pulsar candidates. However, the extreme imbalance between positive and negative classes in the dataset severely affects the performance of the classification model. Therefore, a network enhancing detail perception and stability (EDPSNet) is proposed to address class imbalance. The model combines Deep Convolutional Generative Adversarial Networks (DCGAN) with multi-scale Channel-Spatial Attention (CSA) modules and Spectral Normalization (SN). To enhance local details and global features, thereby enhancing the overall quality and detail of generated images, we introduced a self-designed CSA module. To enhance the stability of the model, SN stabilizes training and prevents mode collapse by constraining the weight matrices of the network. In addition, we proposed the Pixel Moving Segmentation (PMS) technique to address the overfitting issue in generative models caused by insufficient samples. This method expands the dataset while preserving the original features, thus increasing the sample diversity. Experimental results indicate that the EDPSNet model and PMS technique offer significant advantages in handling class imbalanced, small-sample pulsar candidate datasets. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
