Healthy living and well-being at all ages are one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Active mobility is a must as a basic choice for healthy individuals and communities in sustainable cities. However, commuting by walking presents a critical challenge in the city with rapid urbanization, leading to auto dependency rather than a non-motorized mode of residents' daily mobility. By employing spatial configurations of urban physical elements, the interaction between its association and active mobility can be unfolded. Bangkok, a megacity in Thailand, is used as a case study for the objective assessments by generating data from on-street images and incorporating it into the analysis through geographic information systems (GIS). The finding based on the results of spatial configurations related to the pedestrian volume can then be quantified. The linkage between the physical environment-both sidewalks and their surrounding context-can demonstrate its significance in term of relationship. This information is useful for promoting compact urban development with consideration of the availability of transportation systems, especially public transport, which can lead to the promotion of healthy cities and environmental protection while solving traffic problems. © 2024 The Authors. This work investigates a multi-product parallel disassembly line balancing problem considering multi-skilled workers.A mathematical model for the parallel disassembly line is established to achieve maximized disassembly profit and minimized workstation cycle *** on a product’s AND/OR graph,matrices for task-skill,worker-skill,precedence relationships,and disassembly correlations are developed.A multi-objective discrete chemical reaction optimization algorithm is *** enhance solution diversity,improvements are made to four reactions:decomposition,synthesis,intermolecular ineffective collision,and wall invalid collision reaction,completing the evolution of molecular *** established model and improved algorithm are applied to ball pen,flashlight,washing machine,and radio combinations,*** a Collaborative Resource Allocation(CRA)strategy based on a Decomposition-Based Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm,the experimental results are compared with four classical algorithms:MOEA/D,MOEAD-CRA,Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm Ⅱ(NSGA-Ⅱ),and Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm Ⅲ(NSGA-Ⅲ).This validates the feasibility and superiority of the proposed algorithm in parallel disassembly production lines.

The stable and reliable operation of grid-integrated renewable energy systems requires advanced control and coordination of grid-side converters(GSCs),utilizing the feedback measurements of voltage and current sensors from both the direct current(DC)and alternating current(AC)sides of the ***,the effective operation of the converter is susceptible to sensor failures or divergence from their proper *** sensor fault detection algorithms are usually effective under abrupt faults,the fault propagation effect caused by the physical interconnection between the DC and AC sides of the converter may limit the performance of the sensor fault isolation process in revealing the exact location of a potential faulty ***,this work proposes a robust,model-based fault isolation and accommodation ***,a synergistic sensor fault isolation framework based on adaptive estimation schemes is proposed for both single and multiple faults in the DC voltage and AC current sensors,considering modeling uncertainty and measurement *** performance analysis in terms of stability,learning capability,and fault isolability is rigorously *** accommodation scheme based on a virtual sensor utilizing dynamic sensor fault estimation with realtime learning capabilities is applied to a ***,the performance of the proposed fault isolation and accommodation scheme is evaluated through simulation analysis under several scenarios involving single and multiple sensor faults.

The Ball and beam system(BBS)is an attractive laboratory experimental tool because of its inherent nonlinear and open-loop unstable *** an effective ball and beam system controller is a real challenge for researchers and *** this paper,the control design technique is investigated by using Intelligent Dynamic Inversion(IDI)method for this nonlinear and unstable *** proposed control law is an enhanced version of conventional Dynamic Inversion control incorporating an intelligent control element in *** Moore-PenroseGeneralized Inverse(MPGI)is used to invert the prescribed constraint dynamics to realize the baseline control law.A sliding mode-based intelligent control element is further augmented with the baseline control to enhance the robustness against uncertainties,nonlinearities,and external *** semi-global asymptotic stability of IDI control is guaranteed in the sense of *** simulations and laboratory experiments are carried out on this ball and beam physical system to analyze the effectiveness of the *** addition to that,comparative analysis of RGDI control with classical Linear Quadratic Regulator and Fractional Order Controller are also presented on the experimental test bench.

We present a low-cost 5G-SA system based on edge-computing hardware with open-source components and off-the-shelf hardware in this paper. Our system is suitable for nomadic and ad-hoc 5G-SA use cases that require low-power consumption and small space. We show a complete development covering how to prepare the operating system for the installation of the 5G next-generation node B (gNB) and how to install and deploy the 5G-SA software components. We evaluate the performance, indoor coverage range, and power consumption of our system with measurements. We show that our system achieves acceptable data rates, and is very space and energy-efficient with an average power consumption of ≈ 24.81 W. We provide detailed and maintained documentation on the deployment of our system and discuss possible extensions for future work. © 2024 Mobilkommunikation: Technologien und Anwendungen - 28. Feature selection (FS) is an essential preprocessing step in machine learning and data mining. FS algorithms eliminate the irrelevant and redundant features from a feature vector, thereby increasing the accuracy and robustness of the data mining process while offering higher transparency and lower computation. Here, we suggest using the coral reefs optimization algorithms combined with a betahill climbing algorithm as part of a mimetic search strategy. The Coral Reefs is a population-based global search technique that combines well with local search techniques, as suggested here. However, such a combination is also computationally expensive. They could also converge prematurely with few iterations or insufficient population diversity. Accordingly, we propose here a more efficient search in the problem space by transforming the brooding operator into a function of the ranks of coral larvae. In this way, the chance of disturbing a larva with a higher rank is reduced, and at the same time, the exploratory role of larvae with a lower rank is used best. The performance of the proposed method has been evaluated using three KNN, Decision Tree, and SVM classifiers on eight UCI standard datasets using Precision, Recall and f1 score criteria. Results show that the rank-based adaptive brooding approach is superior to the fixed brooding approach in the high-dimensional problem space. © 2023 IEEE.

This demonstration paper presents the RescueAid platform, that leverages the collective intelligence of edge devices by using spatio-temporal data readily available on modern smartphones (i.e., camera, GPS, and inertial sensor measurements) to deliver situational awareness during emergency response operations. Within the RescueAid mobile application, popular machine learning (ML) frameworks are deployed with pretrained models for object detection and image segmentation and used to automatically annotate and tag collected images from the field. RescueAid will be demonstrated in two modes: (i) Interactive mode, where attendees will be able to walk around outside the conference venue carrying RescueAid-enabled smartphones to generate sample data that will be automatically shared and displayed on the web platform interface and (ii) Trace-driven mode, where attendees will have the opportunity to visualize on the platform's user interface the location traces and associated images collected during a real field exercise. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper we address the issue of output-feedback robust control for a class of feedforward nonlinear *** different from the related literature,the feedback/input signals are corrupted by additive noises and can only be transmitted intermittently due to the consideration of event-triggered communications,which bring new challenges to the control *** the aid of matrix pencil based design procedures,regulating the output to near zero is globally solved by a non-conservative dynamic low-gain controller which requires only an a priori information on the upper-bound of the growth rate of *** analysis shows that the closed-loop system is input-to-state stable with respect to the sampled errors and additive *** particular,the observer and controller designs have a dual architecture with a single dynamic scaling parameter whose update law can be obtained by calculating the generalized eigenvalues of matrix pencils offline,which has an advantage in the sense of improving the system convergence rate.

The flourish of deep learning frameworks and hardware platforms has been demanding an efficient compiler that can shield the diversity in both software and hardware in order to provide application *** the existing deep learning compilers,TVM is well known for its efficiency in code generation and optimization across diverse hardware *** the meanwhile,the Sunway many-core processor renders itself as a competitive candidate for its attractive computational power in both scientific computing and deep learning *** paper combines the trends in these two ***,we propose swTVM that extends the original TVM to support ahead-of-time compilation for architecture requiring cross-compilation such as *** addition,we leverage the architecture features during the compilation such as core group for massive parallelism,DMA for high bandwidth memory transfer and local device memory for data locality,in order to generate efficient codes for deep learning workloads on *** experiment results show that the codes generated by swTVM achieve 1.79x improvement of inference latency on average compared to the state-of-the-art deep learning framework on Sunway,across eight representative *** work is the first attempt from the compiler perspective to bridge the gap of deep learning and Sunway processor particularly with productivity and efficiency in *** believe this work will encourage more people to embrace the power of deep learning and Sunwaymany-coreprocessor.
