The most scientific papers dealing with handwriting recognition systems make statements relating to recognition performance based on a forced-recognition rate. This rate describes the ratio between the number of the correct recognized samples and the number of all possible samples. This paper proposes a new technique to improve the previous research work in order to have a better result. As part of the preprocessing phase the image file is checked for skewing. If the image is skewed, it is corrected by a simple rotation technique in the appropriate direction. Character fragmentation process is done based on the existing technique. The improvement of feature extraction process is made by detecting details of glyph and used as an input for the classification process of ANN (Artificial Neural Network) to develop a full OCR system. Result indicated that some versions, even upon first using them, were at least as good as last methods of recognition.

The notion and definition of self-forensics was introduced by Mokhov to encompass software and hardware capabilities for autonomic and other systems to record their own states, events, and others encoded in a forensic form suitable for (potentially automated) forensic analysis, evidence modeling and specification, and event reconstruction for various system components. For self-forensics, ldquoself-dissectionrdquo is possible for analysis using a standard language and decision making if the system includes such a self-forensic subsystem. The self-forensic evidence is encoded in a cyberforensic investigation case and event reconstruction language, Forensic Lucid. The encoding of the stories depicted by the evidence comprise a context as a first-class value of a Forensic Lucid ldquoprogramrdquo, after which an investigator models the case describing relationships between various events and pieces of information. It is important to get the context right for the case to have a meaning and the proper meaning computation, so we perform case studies of some small-to-medium, distributed and not, primarily academic open-source software systems. In this work, for the purpose of implementation of the small self-forensic modules for the data structures and event flow, we specify the requirements of what the context should be for those systems. The systems share in common the base programming language - Java, so our self-forensic logging of the Java data structures and events as Forensic Lucid context specification expressions is laid out ready for an investigator to examine and model the case.

Being able to predict the coming seizure can impressively improve the quality of the patients' lives since they can be warned to avoid doing risky activities via a prediction system. Here, a locally linear neuro fuzzy model is used to predict the EEG time series. Subsequently, this model is utilized in accompany with Singular Spectrum Analysis for prediction. Afterward, an information theoretic criterion is used to select a reliable subset of input variables which contain more information about the target signal. Comparison of three mentioned methods on one hand shows that SSA enables our prediction model to extract the main patterns of the EEG signal and highly improves the prediction accuracy. On the other hand, applying the method of channel selection to the model yields more accurate prediction. It is shown that fusion of some certain signals provides more information about the target and considerably improves the prediction ability.
