The pooling operation is used in graph classification tasks to leverage hierarchical structures preserved in data and reduce computational ***,pooling shrinkage discards graph details,and existing pooling methods may lead to the loss of key classification *** this work,we propose a residual convolutional graph neural network to tackle the problem of key classification features ***,our contributions are threefold:(1)Different from existing methods,we propose a new strategy to calculate sorting values and verify their importance for graph *** strategy does not only use features of simple nodes but also their neighbors for the accurate evaluation of its importance.(2)We design a new graph convolutional layer architecture with the residual *** feeding discarded features back into the network architecture,we reduce the probability of losing critical features for graph classification.(3)We propose a new method for graph-level *** messages for each node are aggregated separately,and then different attention levels are assigned to each node and merged into a graph-level representation to retain structural and critical information for *** experimental results show that our method leads to state-of-the-art results on multiple graph classification benchmarks.

Intelligent Reflective Surfaces (IRSs) enable controlling the radio propagation environment to enhance wireless communications and are particularly relevant for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) applications. This paper explores the integration of IRSs for virtual line-of-sight (VLOS) propagation in urban vehicle platoons that operate with New Radio (NR)-V2X mode 2 sidelink communications and proposes a semi-analytical framework to assess the performance of such systems. The framework considers the availability of resources, the number of interference vehicles, and their relative positions. A Nakagami-Lognormal composite channel model is assumed to describe the propagation environment. This approach provides a cost-effective and accurate estimate of packet success rates, facilitating optimal configuration and parameter adjustments for vehicle platoons. We demonstrate that under typical inter-vehicle distances and with large numbers of vehicles, VLOS communication via IRS can even surpass the performance of conventional Line-of-Sight (LOS) scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Despite achieving remarkable performance, Federated Learning (FL) encounters two important problems, i.e., low training efficiency and limited computational resources. In this article, we propose a new FL framework, i.e., FedDUMAP, with three original contributions, to leverage the shared insensitive data on the server in addition to the distributed data in edge devices so as to efficiently train a global model. First, we propose a simple dynamic server update algorithm, which takes advantage of the shared insensitive data on the server while dynamically adjusting the update steps on the server in order to speed up the convergence and improve the accuracy. Second, we propose an adaptive optimization method with the dynamic server update algorithm to exploit the global momentum on the server and each local device for superior accuracy. Third, we develop a layer-adaptive model pruning method to carry out specific pruning operations, which is adapted to the diverse features of each layer so as to attain an excellent tradeoff between effectiveness and efficiency. Our proposed FL model, FedDUMAP, combines the three original techniques and has a significantly better performance compared with baseline approaches in terms of efficiency (up to 16.9 times faster), accuracy (up to 20.4% higher), and computational cost (up to 62.6% smaller). © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). We propose a network service as a solution for video conference applications by constructing network layer routing strategies. Our approach takes into account the characteristics of conferencing flows, addresses various self-customized metrics, and proactively ensures a positive user experience by preventing contention. The performance of VCApather is evaluated using a fully-meshed topology with five nodes and real-world video conference traffic. The results show that VCApather is capable of achieving high link utilization and balance, while also meeting predefined user metrics. Compared to other schemes, VCApather was found to satisfy 69.8% more QoE requirement and to yield an average bitrate improvement of 1.74×. © 2024 ACM.

After adopting 5G technology, businesses and academia have started working on sixth-generation wireless networking (6G) technologies. Mobile communications options are expected to expand in areas where previous generations could not do so. 6G networks are anticipated to be constructed using various diverse technologies. These encompass diverse cutting-edge advancements, such as distributed ledger systems like blockchain, visible light communications (VLC), post-quantum cryptography, edge computing, molecular communication, THz, and other advances. These advances necessitate a reassessment of previous security strategies from a security perspective. In the future, networks must adhere to stricter criteria for authentication, encryption, access control, connectivity, and detection of harmful activities. Ensuring privacy and dependability necessitates the implementation of supplementary security protocols. The essay explores the primary concerns and challenges related to the security of the 6G network. This paper describes the improvements in security in communications from 1G through 6G. This paper divides security in the sixth generation into three layers: physical, connection, and service. Each layer-by-layer discusses the standard technologies and security issues for each technology proposed in each sixth-generation security layer. All proposed solutions for each of the three layers are discussed in Sixth Generation Security. It also reviews all proposed solutions for each layer, indicating the proposed solution and its limitations. © The Author(s) 2025.

The spreading of false information over the internet, highly impacts society and causes social and economic loss to the nation. One of the most important factors for the increase in the number of misleading information is that all the users of any particular digital platform usually do not verify the authenticity of the information. The principal impartial of this proposed work is to afford a solution to society to reduce the social and economic losses caused by spreading false information circulated digitally. Blockchain is a disseminated, decentralized network that conducts peer-to-peer transactions, meaning that it does not have a central entity to operate. Here we present a literature survey on various approaches towards this problem statement and investigate a Blockchain-based solution that focuses on all types of digital content by providing the end user to validate the information along with the evidence for data that was collected at each step. © 2024 IEEE.

The total number of cores on a single chip is increased due to the rapidly decreasing size of transistors. In order to meet the performance demands of these designs, many designers prefer to use three-dimensional network-on-chips (3D-NoCs). These designs are good alternatives to traditional mesh structures since they consume less energy, ensure better performance, and need less area. However, new design algorithms are needed to map a given application to 3D-NoCs. In this paper, we propose an Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) based method for mapping application cores to the 3D-NoC architectures. We represent each possible solution with a different food source which produces a computed energy consumption. We aim to reduce the total energy consumption of the system. We compare our results against an existing study through several multimedia benchmarks in terms of the total energy consumption of the system. Our proposed approach produces comparable results in less time to an integer linear programming (ILP) based model which generates the optimum solution in a very long time. © 2023 IEEE.

Community smells are sub-optimal developer community structures that hinder *** studies performed smell prediction and provided refactoring guidelines from a top-down aspect to help community ***,refactoring smells also requires bottom-up effort from every ***,supportive measures and guidelines for them are not available at a fine-grained *** recent work revealed developers'personalities and working states could influence community smells'emergence and variation,we build prediction models with experience,sentiment,and development process features of developers considering three smells including Organizational Silo,Lone Wolf,and Bottleneck,as well as two related classes including smelly developer and smelly *** predict the five classes in the individual granularity,and we also generate forecasts for the number of smelly developers in the community *** proposed models achieve F-measures ranging from 0.73 to 0.92 in individual-wide within-project,time-wise,and cross-project prediction,and mean R2 performance of 0.68 in community-wide Smelly Developer *** also exploit SHAP(SHapley Additive exPlanations)to assess feature importance to explain our *** conclusion,we suggest developers with heavy workload should foster more frequent communication in a straightforward and polite way to build healthier communities,and we recommend community shepherds to use the forecasting model for refactoring planning.

The medical community has more concern on lung cancer *** experts’physical segmentation of lung cancers is time-consuming and needs to be *** research study’s objective is to diagnose lung tumors at an early stage to extend the life of humans using deep learning ***-Aided Diagnostic(CAD)system aids in the diagnosis and shortens the time necessary to detect the tumor *** application of Deep Neural Networks(DNN)has also been exhibited as an excellent and effective method in classification and segmentation *** research aims to separate lung cancers from images of Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)with threshold *** Honey hook process categorizes lung cancer based on characteristics retrieved using several *** this principle,the work presents a solution for image compression utilizing a Deep Wave Auto-Encoder(DWAE).The combination of the two approaches significantly reduces the overall size of the feature set required for any future classification process performed using *** proposed DWAE-DNN image classifier is applied to a lung imaging dataset with Radial Basis Function(RBF)*** study reported promising results with an accuracy of 97.34%,whereas using the Decision Tree(DT)classifier has an accuracy of 94.24%.The proposed approach(DWAE-DNN)is found to classify the images with an accuracy of 98.67%,either as malignant or normal *** contrast to the accuracy requirements,the work also uses the benchmark standards like specificity,sensitivity,and precision to evaluate the efficiency of the *** is found from an investigation that the DT classifier provides the maximum performance in the DWAE-DNN depending on the network’s performance on image testing,as shown by the data acquired by the categorizers themselves.
