In this paper, we propose a dynamic data transmission strategy for smart home environments that aims to optimize the Quality of Experience (QoE) by adaptively adjusting the data upload frequency based on the predicted trends in sensor data. Using the home wireless sensors monitoring dataset, we implement a deep learning model for accurate time series forecasting. In addition, an anomaly detection mechanism is used to identify critical events, requiring more frequent data uploads when important changes are detected. The QoE is quantified through a weighted average of several influencing factors, including data timeliness, timely upload of critical events, and transmission frequency. Our optimization objective is to maximize QoE while minimizing the number of transmissions, with an emphasis on reducing energy consumption through intelligent scheduling. The results demonstrate that our approach effectively balances data timeliness, transmission efficiency, and energy savings, leading to improved user satisfaction in smart home applications.

This paper puts forth a new metric, dubbed channel cycle time (CCT), to measure the short-term fairness of Communication networks. CCT characterizes the average duration between two consecutive successful transmissions of a user, during which all other users successfully accessed the channel at least once. In contrast to existing short-term fairness measures, CCT provides more comprehensive insight into the transient dynamics of communication networks, with a particular focus on users' delays and jitter. To validate the efficacy of our approach, we analytically characterize the CCTs for two classical commu-nication protocols: slotted Aloha and CSMA/CA. The analysis demonstrates that CSMA/CA exhibits superior short-term fairness over slotted Aloha. Beyond its role as a measurement metric, CCT has broader implications as a guiding principle for the design of future communication networks by emphasizing factors like fairness, delay, and jitter in short-term behaviors.

Recent advancements in Silicon Dangling Bond (SiDB) fabrication have transitioned from manual to automated processes. However, sub-nanometer substrate defects remain a significant challenge, thus preventing the fabrication of functional logic. Current design automation techniques lack defect-aware strategies. This paper introduces an idea for a surface defect model based on experimentally verified defects, which can be applied to enhance the robustness of established gate libraries. Additionally, a prototypical automatic placement and routing algorithm is presented, utilizing STM data from physical experiments to obtain dot- accurate circuitry resilient to atomic surface defects. Initial evaluations on surfaces with varying defect rates demonstrate their critical impact, suggesting that fabrication processes must achieve defect rates of around 0.1 % to further advance this circuit technology.

software testing is very important in software development to ensure its quality and reliability. As software systems have become more complex, the number of test cases has increased, which presents the challenge of executing all the tests in a limited time frame. Various test case prioritization techniques have been introduced to solve this problem. These methods aim to identify and implement the most critical tests first. In this paper, we propose an implementation of a dynamic test case prioritization strategy to improve software quality by increasing code coverage with special attention to edge case handling. Edge case test prioritization is a technique that improves test efficiency by selecting extreme case scenarios that can reveal critical bugs or unexpected behavior early in development, improving overall software reliability and dependability. In order to prioritize test cases, this paper presents a regression-based method that makes use of machine learning algorithms. The approach leverages previous performance data to optimize regression testing efficiency by examining variables like test time and execution status. Performance evaluations, when compared against industry standards and cutting-edge techniques, show how effective these algorithms are at correctly prioritizing test cases and identifying faults. This study offers simplified yet reliable solutions for regression testing optimization by shedding light on the efficacy of regression algorithms, such as Random Forest and decision trees.

Motion forecasting plays a pivotal role in autonomous driving systems, enabling vehicles to execute collision warnings and rational local-path planning based on predictions of the surrounding vehicles. However, prevalent methods often assume complete observed trajectories, neglecting the potential impact of missing values induced by object occlusion, scope limitation, and sensor failures. Such oversights inevitably compromise the accuracy of trajectory predictions. To tackle this challenge, we propose an end-to-end framework, termed Multi-scale Transformer (MSTF), meticulously crafted for incomplete trajectory prediction. MSTF integrates a Multiscale Attention Head (MAH) and an Information Increment-based Pattern Adaptive (IIPA) module. Specifically, the MAH component concurrently captures multiscale motion representation of trajectory sequence from various temporal granularities, utilizing a multi-head attention mechanism. This approach facilitates the modeling of global dependencies in motion across different scales, thereby mitigating the adverse effects of missing values. Additionally, the IIPA module adaptively extracts continuity representation of motion across time steps by analyzing missing patterns in the data. The continuity representation delineates motion trend at a higher level, guiding MSTF to generate predictions consistent with motion continuity. We evaluate our proposed MSTF model using two large-scale real-world datasets. Experimental results demonstrate that MSTF surpasses state-of-the-art (SOTA) models in the task of incomplete trajectory prediction, showcasing its efficacy in addressing the challenges posed by missing values in motion forecasting for autonomous driving systems.

Energy is essential to practically all exercises and is imperative for the development of personal ***,valuable energy has been in great demand for many years,especially for using smart homes and structures,as individuals quickly improve their way of life depending on current ***,there is a shortage of energy,as the energy required is higher than that *** new plans are being designed to meet the consumer’s energy *** many regions,energy utilization in the housing area is 30%–40%.The growth of smart homes has raised the requirement for intelligence in applications such as asset management,energy-efficient automation,security,and healthcare monitoring to learn about residents’actions and forecast their future *** overcome the challenges of energy consumption optimization,in this study,we apply an energy management *** fusion has recently attracted much energy efficiency in buildings,where numerous types of information are *** proposed research developed a data fusion model to predict energy consumption for accuracy and miss *** results of the proposed approach are compared with those of the previously published techniques and found that the prediction accuracy of the proposed method is 92%,which is higher than the previously published approaches.

The Sunway family supercomputers have achieved a series of remarkable achievements. However, the toolchains provided by them are not perfect, which has brought great challenges to the development of high-performance application software. In this paper, a profiling and optimizing tool is proposed to assist people to analyze and optimize the performance of their programs. SWPFOPLD is independent of the application program and gathers the runtime performance data through the PMUs, an automatically hot functions rearrange optimization based on the performance data is furtherly accomplished. The evaluation shows that SWPFOPLD can be easily and effectively used to analyze and optimize the performance of the application programs.

In case of sharp road illumination changes, bad weather such as rain, snow or fog, wear or missing of the lane marking, the reflective water stain on the road surface, the shadow obstruction of the tree, and mixed lane markings and other signs, missing detection or wrong detection will occur for the traditional lane marking detection algorithm. In this manuscript, a lane marking detection algorithm based on high-precision map and multisensor fusion is proposed. The basic principle of the algorithm is to use the centimeter-level high-precision positioning combined with high-precision map data to complete the detection of lane markings. In the process of generating high-precision maps or in the uncovered areas of high-precision maps, LIDAR (LIght Detection And Ranging) is used to estimate the curvature of the road to assist in lane marking detection. The experimental results show that the algorithm has lower false detection rate in case of bad road conditions, and the algorithm is robust. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

In this paper a microscopic hybrid automaton for Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) exhibiting psycho-physical human characteristics is introduced. The objective is to let the ACC mimic the human behavior to improve passenger experience, while assuring classical ACC properties. The human-inspired automaton is combined with a predictive control strategy in order to meet physical and safety constraints, as well as fuel minimization. An optimization problem is then formulated according to efficiency and constraints satisfaction. A receding horizon approach is implemented to solve the problem. Simulations are performed in order to validate the control law and to show the efficacy of the proposed approach. © 2020 EUCA.
