Metamaterials with simple artificial topological properties made from industrially produced single-phase materials have extraordinary innovation and *** this paper,we investigated wave propagation characteristics of a hexastarchiral lattice metamaterial with periodic assemblies and used the finite element(FE)method to study the band gap ***,in order to understand the mechanism of band gaps,we discussed the mode shapes of unit cells and found that the bending of the ligament and the overall rotation have a high correlation with the generation of omnidirectional band *** relationships bet ween geometric parameters and band gap properties have also been systematically studied,which demonstrated that the band gaps of the proposed metamaterial could be reasonably predicted through the evolution of geometric ***,the transmission characteristics of finite sandwich panel structures composed of periodic unit cells were calculated to verify the correctness of the band gap simulation results,which proved that the proposed artificial metastructure has potential application value in vibration and noise reduction projects.

Weakly Supervised and Semi-Supervised Semantic Segmentation Makes Full Use of a Small Amount of Labeled Data

Semi-supervised and weakly supervised semantic segmentation are very challenging tasks and have been studied in recent years. The purpose is to reduce the high cost of semantic segmentation label production. In this paper, we propose a weakly supervised assistant supervision strategy (ASS), which introduces more semantic segmentation for the shallow network by introducing additional classification tasks to the classification network, and enhances the fusion of shallow features and deep features. In addition, we propose a multi-scale global correlation module (MSG). This module uses the correlation degree of different scale regions to improve the weight of the nondiscriminative part, which solves the problem of insufficient CAMs activation. In most scenarios, weak supervision and semi-supervision are inseparable. We creatively propose a training strategy that integrates semi-supervision and weak supervision, adding pixel-level supervision in the training process of weak supervision to give full play to the role of pixel-level annotation. Extensive experiments on PASCAL VOC 2012 dataset show that our weakly supervised training strategy achieves the state of the art, and the combination of weakly supervised and semi-supervised training strategy can make more effective use of pixel-level labels. © 2023, The Authors. Clock synchronization is one of the essential problems for the cloud-based railway interlocking system, which is related to task processing and information synchronization. To improve the convergence rate and performance of a classical distributed clock synchronization algorithm, this paper proposes an exponential smoothing predictor-based distributed clock synchronization algorithm for the cloud-based railway interlocking system. Firstly, a classical distributed clock synchronization algorithm is conducted to get a convergent clock for distributed computing nodes. Then, to improve the convergence rate and performance, we introduce an exponential smoothing predictor to the classical method. Moreover, the convergence condition and convergence rate of our proposed method were analyzed theoretically. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a better convergence performance than a classical method and can meet the requirements of a cloud-based railway interlocking system.

This paper investigates online stochastic aggregative games subject to local set constraints and time-varying coupled inequality constraints, where each player possesses a time-varying expectation-valued cost function relying on not only its own decision variable but also an aggregation of all the players’ variables. Each player can only access its local individual cost function and constraints, necessitating partial information exchanges with neighboring players through time-varying unbalanced networks. Additionally, local cost functions and constraint functions are not prior knowledge and only revealed gradually. To learn generalized Nash equilibria of such games, a novel distributed online stochastic algorithm is devised based on push-sum and primal-dual strategies. Through rigorous analysis, high probability bounds on the regret and constraint violation are provided by appropriately selecting decreasing stepsizes. Moreover, for a time-invariant stochastic strongly monotone game, it is shown that the generated sequence by the designed algorithm converges to its variational generalized Nash equilibrium (GNE) almost surely, and the time-averaged sequence converges sublinearly with high probability. Finally, the derived theoretical results are illustrated by numerical simulations. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In the traditional direct visual odometry, it is difficult to satisfy the photometric invariant assumption due to the influence of illumination changes in the real environment, which will lead to errors and drift. This paper proposes an improved direct visual odometry system, which combines luminosity and depth information. The algorithm proposed in this paper uses Kinect 2 to collect RGB images with the corresponding depth information, and selects points with large changes of gray gradient to construct a luminosity error function and uses the corresponding depth information to construct a depth error function. The two error functions are merged into one function and converted into the least squares function of the pose of camera, the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is used to solve the camera pose. Finally, the Graph optimization theory and the g2o library are used to optimize the initial pose. Experiments show that the algorithm can reduce the error to a certain extent and reduce the drift caused by illumination changes. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Consensus of Linear Multi-agent systems with Pure Relative Output Through Fully Distributed Reduced-Order Protocols

This paper considers fully distributed adaptive control for linear multi-agent systems with pure relative output information only. Two reduced-order protocols, namely, an edge-based protocol and a node-based protocol, are derived. For the edge-based protocol, each edge is adapted by a coupling weight which depends only on relative output information of the associated two agents, while the coupling weight in the node-based protocol is based on the relative output information of all neighboring agents. Sufficient conditions for the solvability of the consensus problem under the two protocols are derived. Compared with most of the existing related protocols, the main merits of the protocols are that only relative output information is needed, which helps reduce the communication burdens and protect the multi-agent systems from network attacks, and that the protocols are fully distributed. A simulation example is finally presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed protocols.

sEMG (surface electromyography) signal control of bionic prostheses has been widely studied over the past few years. In particular, sparse sEMG signals are rapidly developing in the field of gesture recognition for their convenience, noninvasiveness, and ease of access. However, compared with high-density EMG signals, sparse EMG signals lack rich feature information, which in turn affects gesture recognition accuracy. In order to reduce the loss of feature information of sparse EMG signals in the spatio-temporal dimension, this paper proposes a hybrid neural network Res-LSTM combining residual network and long short-term memory network. The ordinary convolutional blocks in the CNN network are replaced with residual blocks, and the final fully connected layer is removed and a constant mapping layer is added to adequate extraction of spatial feature information of the data. The Res layer’s output is utilized as the input for the long and short-term memory (LSTM) network, which further extracts the features of the data in the temporal dimension, and finally completes the categorization output through a fully connected layer. The average accuracy of 91.11% for gesture-motion classification was verified by training on a homebrew dataset;and tested on a public dataset, NinaPro DB1, with an average accuracy of 91.03%. The experimental findings indicate that the proposed Res-LSTM network framework contributes to solving the problem of lack of feature information of sparse sEMG signals and improves the pattern recognition accuracy. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

A wheel-legged robot is equipped with Stewart parallel mechanism, constituting a reconfigurable robot which can change its wheelbase, robot body height, and achieve omnidirectional steering. The legged character effectively improves the terrain adaptability, which concerns our planning concentration. We introduced an optimization-based whole-body trajectory planning algorithm to navigate robot in rugged terrain. The planner combines terrain data and stability, allowing lower-level motion generator and controller to operate more efficiently. The Model Predictive control(MPC)-based method updates the footholds and CoG trajectories, which builds upon the support polygon constraints on optimization. The simulations of methodology working in several structure-obstacle scene demonstrated and compared the availability of approach.

In the actual production of slot die coating, the minimum coating thickness and the maximum substrate moving speed could only be judged by production experience, and there was no accurate prediction model due to the nonlinear characteristics of fluid motion. Therefore, building a reasonable and efficient prediction model for slot die coating is now an urgent and challenging task. In this paper, an optimized extreme learning machine (ELM) based on improved beetle antennae search (IBAS) algorithm is proposed for slot die coating prediction. The optimized ELM model can well learn the nonlinear characteristics of the system and make accurate predictions, thus solving the traditional inaccurate empirical judgment. As the prediction accuracy of ELM depends on the selection of weights and biases, the IBAS optimization algorithm is used to quickly search for the optimal value of weights and biases in the ELM network. IBAS algorithm improves the generation mechanism of antennae on the basis of the original algorithm, so that the algorithm can converge quickly. At the same time, the search strategy of the algorithm is improved to avoid falling into the local optimal solution. By predicting the production data of slit coating, the feasibility and effectiveness of IBAS-ELM model are proved.
