Blackbody radiation source is used as a standard device for infrared thermometer, it plays increasingly important roles in the field of calibration. Through experiment discoveries that it is a typical nonlinear system and has a large transport delay when the blackbody is rise temperature or cooling in order to reach set temperature points. Based on the temperature control of blackbody is a kind of typical multi-variable, strong coupling and time-varying nonlinear control system. The paper proposes applying the theory of active disturbance rejection controller (ADRC) to suppress various disturbances and improve the dynamic performance of blackbody radiation source. First of all, describing the working principle of blackbody radiation source and building its mathematical model. Secondly, introducing the control method of ADRC, which is applied to the temperature control system of blackbody radiation source. Finally, through MATLAB/SIMULINK platform to simulate and compare the temperature control performances of blackbody among ADRC, PID and Smith predictor(SP) control strategies. The simulation results show that proposed ADRC algorithm improves the abilities of anti-interference of system and it is without overshoot. In addition, the results also indicated that the control method of ADRC shortens plant stable time and has a strong prospect for practical applications. © 2018 IEEE.

Recent research on joint source-channel coding (JSCC) for wireless communications has achieved great success owing to the employment of deep learning (DL). However, the existing work on DL based JSCC usually trains the designed network to operate under a specific signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime, without taking into account that the SNR level during the deployment stage may differ from that during the training stage. A number of networks are required to cover the scenario with a broad range of SNRs, which is computational inefficiency (in the training stage) and requires large storage. To overcome these drawbacks our paper proposes a novel method called Attention DL based JSCC (ADJSCC) that can successfully operate with different SNR levels during transmission. This design is inspired by the resource assignment strategy in traditional JSCC, which dynamically adjusts the compression ratio in source coding and the channel coding rate according to the channel SNR. This is achieved by resorting to attention mechanisms because these are able to allocate computing resources to more critical tasks. Instead of applying the resource allocation strategy in traditional JSCC, the ADJSCC uses the channel-wise soft attention to scaling features according to SNR conditions. We compare the ADJSCC method with the state-of-the-art DL based JSCC method through extensive experiments to demonstrate its adaptability, robustness and versatility. The dissolving technique of ionic liquid (IL) was applied in extraction process of hydroxyapatite (HAp). Product HAp was extracted by IL choline chloride-urea (ChCl-Urea) dissolving cattle bone. The optimum conditions for regeneration process of cattle bone were determined by single factor, orthogonal and verification experiments. IR spectra of regenerated bone, undissolved bone and raw bone showed that the main groups of regenerated bone did not change. It was indicated that ionic liquid did not damage the bone collagen of raw bone, and the collagen was only dissolved by IL. IR spectrum of the product HAp revealed that its components were similar to those of the natural bone. SEM pattern showed that the crystal shape of the product HAp appeared rod-like shape mostly, and the crystal structure was relatively complete. XRD diffraction explained that there was no difference between product HAp and standard HAp for the crystalline form and compositions. Cooling Performance for Cylindrical Film-Cooling Hole with Divided Downstream Crescent-Shaped Block

The cooling performances for the cylindrical film-cooling hole with divided downstream crescent-shaped blocks were numerically investigated in present study. Four configurations with divided crescent-shaped block, i.e. linear, 30° convergence, 30° expansion, and 30° curved expansion, were studied at typical flow conditions. The successive crescent-shaped block case and the no block case were also solved in comparison. The temperature profiles, the local and lateral averaged cooling effectiveness at blowing ratios of 0.5 to 1.5 were obtained. As compared with the successive block case, the lateral coolant coverage were widened by using the divided block, and thus the lateral averaged cooling effectiveness were improved, especially at higher blowing ratios. Comparatively, the cylindrical hole with 30° expansion crescent-shaped block exhibited highest cooling performance.

A compact terahertz continuous wave (CW) discharge-pumped Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) dual laser has been developed for better signal to noise ratio and higher time resolution, with active power and intermediate frequency (IF) control. The output power of about 110 mW on the 0.89 THz line has been obtained with 1 m long and 50 mm inner diameter dual discharge-pumped wave-guides laser. An output-power and IF feedback control system is applied to the HCN dual laser for output power and IF stability. This feedback system consists of two stepping motors, a piezoelectric ceramics (PZT), a PLC, a supervisory computer and the corresponding control program. The whole feedback control system can successful in stabilizing the power of the laser around 110 mW and the IF at around 1MHz in several hours. © 2018 IEEE.

On the basis of α-minimal resolution principle, an α-n(t)-ary resolution dynamic automated reasoning method - multi-ary α-ordered linear minimal resolution method is studied in lattice-valued propositional logic system LP(X) and lattice-valued first-order logic system LF(X) based on lattice implication algebra (LIA). Firstly, multi-ary α-ordered linear minimal resolution method is established in LP(X), while its theorems of both soundness and completeness are proved. Then, multi-ary α-ordered linear minimal resolution method is further established in the corresponding lattice-valued first-order logic LF(X), along with its soundness theorem, lifting lemma, and completeness theorem. Then, the validity of multi-ary α-ordered linear minimal resolution based on lattice-valued logic is analyzed. At last, an multi-ary α-ordered linear minimal resolution algorithm in LP(X) is designed, and it is proved to be sound and complete, then it is further extended in the corresponding LF(X). This lays the foundation for the further study on α-n(t)-ary resolution dynamic automated reasoning program. © 2018 - IOS Press and the authors. All rights reserved.

As for a pipe-line system subjected to complex operations, an approach is proposed to synthesize the controller via Petri nets (PNs) such that the plant is run as concurrently as possible and the loads of equipments are balanced. A P-timed and labeled PN is designed to model the whole process of a pipe-line system, where tasks, including transporting material from one tank to another and cleaning tank, are represented by operational places, and level sensors amounted in tanks are represented by labels assigned to transitions. Further, monitor places are designed to resolve the conflict relations among tasks due to the shared valves and pipes. An method is presented to translate an PN controller into a CIF3 (Compositional Interchange Format) model, which can be converted into a PLC program in the CIF3 tool. A beer filtration plant is taken as an example to illustrate the approach, and its simulation experiments are carried out to verify the theoretic results.

Photo-Based Monitoring of Particulate Matter in the Campus: A New Strategy for Student Health

It is imperative for the students' future health to ensure the students in good physical levels. Recent years have witnessed the increasingly serious harm to student health caused by the continually growing concentration of Particulate Matters (PMs). Consequently, the task of preventing and controlling PM concentrations in the campus is eagerly required. A well-designed model for the monitoring of PM (as the basis for PM prevention and control) has posed a big challenge. Prior works have revealed that photo-based methods are available for the monitoring of PM. Towards validating the effectiveness of existing methods for PM monitoring in the campus, we construct a novel dataset that involves 1,500 photos collected in the Beijing University of Technology. Results confirm that stated-of-the-art methods are far from ideal for the monitoring of PM in the campus. To solve the aforesaid issue, this paper further proposes a novel photo-based PM monitoring model by using the weighted average method solved by LASSO regression to fuse the above methods' outputs tested to infer the PM values. Results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed model as compared to state-of-the-art methods on the large-scale AQPDBJUT dataset.

In this paper, a new information publishing system based on Internet of things is proposed. It mainly consists of three parts: the screen side, the service side and the client side. And all of them connect each other by network. The screen side has realized the internet of screens in which geographically dispersed independent screens are connected to the internet by the customized set-top boxes. The server cluster provides high performance application services and manages the promptly increasing multimedia publishing information to users on the service side. Meanwhile MQTT protocol is deployed to implement a lightweight broker-based publish and subscribe messaging mechanism in our constrained environments to solve the bandwidth bottleneck. On the client side, the mobile terminal user can release information with dedicated software by location-based services. The paper has realized a prototype SzIoScreen, and give some related test results. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2018.

This paper focuses on the scheme of cooperative lane change motion planning of multiple connected and automated vehicles, so as to minimize the time for lane change while penalizing large steering angles subject to hard collision avoidance constraints. Nominally this scheme should be formulated in a centralized way with the constraints of all the vehicles considered simultaneously. In order to facilitate the numerical solving process of this centralized optimization problem, we propose a stepwise computation framework. Starting with a sub-problem with all of the collision avoidance constraints removed, a sequence of sub-problems are defined by adding back the removed collision avoidance constraints gradually until the original problem takes shape in the end. The optimum of one sub-problem is always used as the initial guess when solving the next sub-problem. This iterative process continues until the optimum of the original problem is obtained. In this way, the difficulties in the original centralized problem are divided into multiple parts, and every progress made to address the partial difficulties is 'solidified' by the initial guess. © 2018 IEEE.
