Dear Editor,
Class 2 type V CRISPR-Cas12 effectors exhibit tremendous diversity,utilizing either single crRNAs or dual RNA guides to target double-stranded DNA(dsDNA),single-stranded DNA(ssDNA)or *** dsDNA targets,Cas12 recognizes different PAM sequences and generates sticky ends on the target dsDNA.1 This characteristic enhances the efficiency of homology-directed repair2 and causes less off-target effects compared to SpCas9.3 Recent studies have identified a series of Cas12 nucleases,ranging from Cas12a to Cas12n,1,4 thereby greatly expanding the gene editing ***,among the reported Cas12 proteins,the compact ones typically show limited gene editing efficiency and associate with long non-coding RNA guides or dual RNA(crRNA and tracrRNA)guides,which may compensate for the absence of certain Cas12 domains and enhance endonuclease activity and editing efficiency.

Three design methods for wireless power transmission(WPT)systems using antenna arrays have been *** three methods,corresponding to three common application scenarios of WPT systems,are based on the method of maximum power transmission efficiency(MMPTE)between two antenna *** are unconstrained MMPTE,weighted MMPTE,and constrained *** demonstrate the optimal design process with the three methods,a WPT system operating at 2.45 GHz is designed,simulated,and fabricated,in which the transmitting(Tx)array,consisting of 36 microstrip patch elements,is configured as a square and the receiving(Rx)array,consisting of 5 patch elements,is configured as an L *** power transmission efficiency(PTE)is then maximized for the three application scenarios,which yields the maximum possible PTEs and the optimized distributions of excitations for both Tx and Rx *** feeding networks are then built based on the optimized distributions of *** and experiments reveal that the unconstrained MMPTE,which corresponds to the application scenario where no radiation pattern shaping is involved,yields the highest *** next highest PTE belongs to the weighted MMPTE,where the power levels at all the receiving elements are imposed to be *** constrained MMPTE has the lowest PTE,corresponding to the scenario in which the radiated power pattern is assumed to be flat along with the Rx array.

The performance of Li||Sb-Sn liquid metal batteries(LMBs) is hindered by the corrosion of the Sb-Sn cathode on its current collector. Herein, a uniform, dense, and low-oxidized W coating was prepared by plasma spraying, which can effectively resist the corrosion of the cathode and improve the cycle stability of the Li||Sb-Sn LMBs. For the first time, micro-CT nondestructive inspection is applied in the field of LMBs. The corrosion micromorphology and composition evolution of the SS304 matrix and Sb-Sn cathode with or without the plasma-sprayed W coating is obtained without disassembling the battery, which proves that the W coating can effectively protect the SS304 matrix. Our autonomous new LMB device for nondestructive inspection is universal and can be applied to different LMBs systems for advancing knowledge of corrosion mechanism and protection. This work guarantees the ability to directly visualize the inner critical positions in three dimensions and fills the knowledge gap in the field of LMB detection technology.
