Games are a genre of deliberate mental or physical activities which can be done alone or in groups for the purpose of enjoyment and recreation. Every game has its unique collection of participants, movements, and tactics, in addition to its own set of principles and guidelines. Rock-Paper-Scissors is probably the most well-known game for determining a winner in the world. The rules are pretty straightforward. Rock, paper, or scissors are displayed by each player simultaneously. The rock defeats the scissors but is defeated by the paper. Scissors defeat paper but lose to rock and paper defeats rock but loses to scissors. Using hand images, this study proposed identifying images of hands playing rock-paper-scissors. Transfer learning is used in the proposed model to recognize and classify images of rock-paper-scissors. The dataset for this study was acquired from the Kaggle. There are 2188 images in the dataset, including 712 rock images, 726 paper images, and 750 scissor images. The dataset is divided into two parts: 80% is utilized for training the model, and 20% is utilized for model validation. The RPSICTL model evaluation results good validation accuracy of 99.54%. © 2023 IEEE.

Transform-limited photon emission from quantum emitters is essential for high-fidelity entanglement generation. In this Letter, we report the coherent optical property of a single negatively charged lead-vacancy (PbV) center in diamond. Photoluminescence excitation measurements reveal stable fluorescence with a linewidth of 39 MHz at 6 K, close to the transform limit estimated from the lifetime measurement. We observe 4 orders of magnitude different linewidths of the two zero-phonon lines, and find that the phonon-induced relaxation in the ground state contributes to this huge difference in the linewidth. Because of the suppressed phonon absorption in the PbV center, we observe nearly transform-limited photon emission up to 16 K, demonstrating its high temperature robustness compared to other color centers in diamond.

Deep learning has made great achievements in the field of speech recognition. With the popularization of embedded devices such as intelligent speaker and the demand for dialect interaction scenes, it poses great challenges to far-field speech recognition and dialect language recognition. In order to solve the dialect language recognition of embedded devices in far-field speech recognition, we propose a deep learning neural network model with multitask learning. First, the audio is passed through the end-to-end noise reduction model to improve the effect of audio recognition. Then we define dialect recognition as the main task and dialect area as the auxiliary task, using the multitask learning method to improve the accuracy of dialect classification. The experimental results show that the end-to-end noise reduction model can improve the accuracy of audio recognition, and the best effect can be 7.54% higher than the baseline, and the accuracy of dialect language recognition can be improved by about 5% through multi task learning model. © 2022 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

E-commerce systems have integrated big data analytics (BDA) as a core element, enabling personalized shopping experiences, crucial for customer loyalty and satisfaction. Evaluating Large Language Models in Semantic Parsing for Conversational Question Answering over Knowledge Graphs

Conversational question answering systems often rely on semantic parsing to enable interactive information retrieval, which involves the generation of structured database queries from a natural language input. For information-seeking conversations about facts stored within a knowledge graph, dialogue utterances are transformed into graph queries in a process that is called knowledge-based conversational question answering. This paper evaluates the performance of large language models that have not been explicitly pre-trained on this task. Through a series of experiments on an extensive benchmark dataset, we compare models of varying sizes with different prompting techniques and identify common issue types in the generated output. Our results demonstrate that large language models are capable of generating graph queries from dialogues, with significant improvements achievable through few-shot prompting and fine-tuning techniques, especially for smaller models that exhibit lower zero-shot performance. Chiral two-dimensional(2D) perovskites offer numerous attractive features for optoelectronics owing to their soft, deformable lattices and a high degree of chemical tunability. While tremendous advances have been made in perovskite-based direct circularly polarized light(CPL) detection, the low circular polarization anisotropy factor and sensitivity of those photodetectors arising from large lattice distortion still limit practical applications. Herein, chiral 2D perovskite-based single-crystalline microwire arrays with enhanced circular dichroism(CD) absorption are fabricated with the synergy of the capillary-bridgeconfined assembly method and chlorine-substituted phenethylamine(Cl-MBA). Compared with phenethylamine(MBA)-inserted perovskites, the smaller lattice distortion and increased halogen–halogen interaction within Cl–MBA-inserted perovskites strengthen lattice rigidity and weaken electron–phonon coupling to improve carrier transport and thermal stability, resulting in high-performance CPL photodetectors with an anisotropy factor of 0.25, responsivity exceeding 95.7±9.3 A W^(-1)and detectivity exceeding(3.05±0.30)×10^(13)Jones. This work opens a new perspective to modulate circular polarization sensitivity and will be helpful to realize promising implementations in quantum computation and communication.

Background:Previous studies suggested that smoking behavior(e.g.,smoking status)was associated with an elevated risk of chronic kidney disease(CKD),yet whether this association is causal remains ***:We used data for half million participants aged 40 to 69 years from the UK Biobank *** the traditional observational study,we used Cox proportional hazards models to calculate the associations between 2 smoking indices—smoking status and lifetime smoking index and incident CKD stages 3 to *** randomization(MR)approaches were used to estimate a potential causal *** one-sample MR,genetic variants associated with lifetime smoking index were used as instrument variables to examine the causal associations with CKD stages 3 to 5,among 344,255 UK Biobank participants with white British *** further validated our ffndings by a two-sample MR analysis using information from the Chronic Kidney Disease Genetics Consortium genome-wide association ***:In the traditional observational study,both smoking status[hazard ratio(HR):1.26,95%conffdence interval(CI):1.22 to 1.30]and lifetime smoking index(HR:1.22,95%CI:1.20 to 1.24)were positively associated with a higher risk of incident ***,both our one-sample and two-sample MR analyses showed no causal association between lifetime smoking index and CKD(all P>0.05).The genetic instruments were validated by several statistical tests,and all sensitivity analyses showed similar results with the main ***:Evidence from our analyses does not suggest a causal effect of smoking behavior on CKD *** positive association presented in the traditional observational study is possibly a result of confounding.

Heading errors of atomic magnetometers refer to the dependence of measurement results on the sensor orientation with respect to the external magnetic field. There are three main sources of such errors: the light shift effect, the linear nuclear-spin Zeeman effect, and the nonlinear Zeeman effect. In this work, we suppress the first two effects by using the Bell-Bloom optical pumping method and probe the atomic signals while the pumping beam is off, and focus on the heading error induced by nonlinear Zeeman effect while the sensor operates in the geomagnetic field range. We demonstrate several schemes to suppress this remaining heading error within 1 nT using a single magnetometer or a comagnetometer. In the magnetometer system, two schemes are developed to average out the horizontal atomic polarization in space or in time, respectively. In the comagnetometer system, we combine the simultaneously measured Larmor frequencies of two different alkali atoms to either suppress the heading error or extract the orientation of the pumping beam relative to the bias field.

Vanadium dioxide(VO_(2))is a strongly correlated material,and it has become known due to its sharp metal-insulator transition(MIT)near room *** the thermal properties and their change across MIT of VO_(2)thin film is important for the applications of this material in various ***,the changes in thermal conductivity of epitaxial and polycrystalline VO_(2)thin film across MIT are probed by the time-domain thermoreflectance(TDTR)*** measurements are performed in a direct way devoid of deposition of any metal thermoreflectance layer on the VO_(2)film to attenuate the impact from extra thermal *** is demonstrated that the method is feasible for the VO_(2)films with thickness values larger than 100 nm and beyond the phase transition *** observed reasonable thermal conductivity change rates across MIT of VO_(2)thin films with different crystal qualities are found to be correlated with the electrical conductivity change rate,which is different from the reported behavior of single crystal VO_(2)*** recovery of the relationship between thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity in VO_(2)film may be attributed to the increasing elastic electron scattering weight,caused by the defects in the *** work demonstrates the possibility and limitation of investigating the thermal properties of VO_(2)thin films by the TDTR method without depositing any metal thermoreflectance layer.
