Providing quality healthcare services and promoting collaborative clinical research are easier and more efficient with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. All aspects of care are included in electronic health records. Data characterized by volume, variety, and velocity is what IBM defines as big data. Therefore, we evidently have a significant problem managing 'big EMR data' from a volume, accuracy, and velocity perspective. Data misuse and patient safety are significant risks associated with poorly implemented EMR-based systems. Storage, access, and retrieval of big data are all aspects of security to consider. Location is another important aspect of secure data use, in addition to strong access control mechanisms. Researchers are investigating secure mobile data usage based on location after recent reports of illegal trade and theft of patient data over mobile devices. To improve work flow dynamics and efficiency, healthcare facilities are increasingly using mobile devices. In spite of this, mobile devices are becoming more and more common. A new technique for preventing EMR infiltration and manipulation by hackers using the cloud is presented in this article. © 2024 IEEE.

Efforts to map atomic-scale chemistry at low doses with minimal noise using electron microscopes are fundamentally limited by inelastic ***,fused multi-modal electron microscopy offers high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)recovery of material chemistry at nano-and atomic-resolution by coupling correlated information encoded within both elastic scattering(high-angle annular dark-field(HAADF))and inelastic spectroscopic signals(electron energy loss(EELS)or energy-dispersive x-ray(EDX)).By linking these simultaneously acquired signals,or modalities,the chemical distribution within nanomaterials can be imaged at significantly lower doses with existing detector *** many cases,the dose requirements can be reduced by over one order of *** high SNR recovery of chemistry is tested against simulated and experimental atomic resolution data of heterogeneous nanomaterials.

This work introduces an approach to compute periodic phase diagram of micromagnetic systems by solving a periodic linearized Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation using an eigenvalue solver with the Finite Element Method formalism. The linear operator in the eigenvalue problem is defined as a function of the periodic phase-shift wave vector. The dispersion diagrams are obtained by solving the eigenvalue problem for complex eigenfrequencies and corresponding eigenstates for a range of prescribed wave vectors. The presented approach incorporates a calculation of the periodic effective field, including the exchange and magnetostatic field components. The approach is general in that it allows 3D problems to be handled with any 1D, 2D, and 3D periodicities. The ability to calculate periodic diagrams provides insights into the spin wave propagation and localized resonances in complex micromagnetic structures. © 1965-2012 IEEE.

This study proposes a direct teaching method for the task of pressing an end effector attached to a robot manipulator against a workpiece with a constant force. When performing contact tasks, such as deburring or polishing using a manipulator, a passive compliance is required for the end effector to suppress excessive contact force and impact. Therefore, we developed an end effector that combines a “parallel wire-type teaching device,” which enables direct teaching, and a compliance device. In the case of pressing a workpiece with a constant force, after teaching the robot's trajectory to trace the edge of the workpiece, the amount of pressing can be calculated from the stiffness of the end effector and the desired pressing force; the robot's trajectory can be edited to teach contact tasks. An experiment was conducted to press a straight trajectory with a constant force as the target value and evaluate the accuracy of force teaching.

Routing Guidance for Emerging Transportation systems with Improved Dynamic Trip Equity

In this letter, we present a dynamic routing guidance system that optimizes route recommendations for individual vehicles within an emerging transportation system while enhancing travelers’ trip equity. We develop a framework to quantify trip quality and equity in a dynamic travel environment, providing new insights into how routing guidance influences equity in road transportation. Our approach enables real-time routing by incorporating both monitored and anticipated traffic congestion. We provide conditions that ensure achieving perfect trip equity for all travelers in a free-flow network. Finally, simulation studies on 1,000 vehicles traversing an urban road network in Boston demonstrate that our proposed method improves trip equity by approximately 13.3% compared to the shortest-route strategy. In addition, the results reveal that our approach redistributes travel costs across vehicle types through route optimization, contributing to a more equitable transportation system. This letter proposes a hidden convexity-based method to address distributed optimal energy flow (OEF) problems for transmission-level integrated electricity-gas systems. First, we develop a node-wise decoupling method to decompose an OEF problem into multiple OEF subproblems. Then, we propose a hidden convexity-based method to equivalently reformulate nonconvex OEF subproblems as semi-definite programs. This method differs from any approximation and convexification methods that may incur infeasible solutions. Since all OEF subproblems are originally convex or equivalently convexified, we adopt an ADMM to solve the hidden convexity-based distributed OEF problem with convergence analysis. Test results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, especially in handling a large number of agents. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, we investigate the application of hexagonal quadrature amplitude modulation (HQAM) in reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-assisted networks, specifically focusing on its efficiency in reducing the number of required reflecting elements. Specifically, we present analytical expressions for the average symbol error probability (ASEP) and propose a new metric for conditioned energy efficiency, which assesses the network’s energy consumption while ensuring the ASEP remains below a certain threshold. Additionally, we introduce an innovative detection algorithm for HQAM constellations, which demonstrates a substantial reduction in computational complexity. Finally, our study reveals that HQAM significantly enhances both the ASEP and energy efficiency compared to traditional quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) schemes.

One of the most effective approaches to satisfying the requirements of the next generation of wireless services is non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). Spectrum efficiency and average capacity are two aspects of wireless communication that have become increasingly important as the number of mobile services in use has increased. Using both traditional MIMO and Massive MIMO (M-MIMO), this study proposes two new methods for increasing the average capacity of a 5G network's downlink (DL) NOMA power domain (PD) in conjunction with a Cooperative Cognitive Radio Network (CCRN). The initial method involves NOMA users competing for available rivalry channels (R-CH) on the CCRN. The second technique creates a dedicated channel (D-CH) for NOMA users. The MATLAB program is utilized to evaluate the proposed methods in three scenarios with varying distances, power location coefficients, and transmission power. Successive interference cancellation (SIC) and unstable channel conditions are also considered while assessing the analysis of the proposed system under the assumption of Rayleigh fading. Using DL NOMA PD systems, The results reveal that the higher average capacity of best at transmit power DL NOMA with CCRN (dedicated channel) improved U4 average capacity performance by M-MIMO DL NOMA with CCRN (D-CH) improved by when compared with convention DL NOMA. Formulas in closed form were found for average capacity. The resulting formulas are verified using a Monte Carlo simulation. © 2023 IEEE.

Introducing passivation molecules has been being considered as one of effective strategies to reduce surface crystal defects and hence improve the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In this paper, we report the effects of organofluorine molecules, specifically trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), added in the ethyl acetate (EA) anti-solvent on the characteristics of MAPbI3 based PSCs, which are related to interfacial surface states, band bending characteristics and charge extraction processes. Anti-solvents with several volume fractions of TFA were used in the perovskite layer deposition step by the spin-coating technique. The current density vs. voltage (J–V) curve hysteresis was suppressed while the PSC stability and the PSC performance repeatability of the fabrication results were much improved in PSC prepared using EA anti-solvent with moderate volume fraction of TFA (i.e. 5% v/v). These PSC samples were also characterized by measurements of impedance photovoltaic spectroscopy (IMVS) and transient photovoltaic (TPV). By performing TPV measurements at various dc light biases, an unusual delayed TPV decay component with a long rise part was observed, especially at PSCs prepared with moderate volume fractions of TFA in EA anti-solvent. The infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopy and X-ray Photoemission Spectroscopy (XPS) data showed that TFA removed uncoordinated or weakly bonded MA+ cations and I− anions at the NCs surface but leaving the accumulation of Pb2+ cations on the surface. This condition causes the formation of surface states leading to a downward band bending at the MAPbI3/HTL interface, which is responsible to the observation this delayed TPV decay component. However, this situation improves the PSC performance by minimizing the effect from mobile ion migration. These present measurement results thus clearly&

Normally, the electrocardiogram (ECG) signal artifacts are removed in a particular sequence starting with baseline wander removal at the beginning. In this work, a methodology has been proposed using a novel algorithm called the Normalized Leaky Sign Regressor Least Mean Mixed Norm (NLSRLMMN) algorithm to remove multiple ECG artifacts such as baseline wander, motion artifacts, muscle artifacts, and power line interference randomly without following a particular sequence. Through rigorous simulations we have shown that if we remove multiple ECG artifacts randomly using our proposed approach then an improvement in signal to noise ratio and mean square error is observed as opposed to a conventional method that employs the Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm in all the cascaded adaptive noise canceller stages.
