GROMACS for biochemical molecules simulations are being used extensively. GROMACS's performance is optimized over the years on various homogeneous as well as heterogeneous computing architectures. This paper focuses on the study of the behavior of Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations using GROMACS on the PARAM Siddhi-AI system. The application performance is analyzed on CPUs (AMD EPYC) and GPUs (NVIDIA A100). For CPU-only runs, it is observed that the single-node performance is slightly better with OpenMPI when compared to threaded MPI. The combination of 16 MPI ranks with 8 OpenMP threads shows better single-node performance. The performance of multi-node CPU-only GROMACS runs increases by the factor of 1.1x with the increase in the number of nodes. For single-node GROMACS-GPU runs, all the forces (bonded, non-bonded, and PME) are offloaded to GPUs. However, in the case of multi-node GROMACS GPU runs, only bonded and non-bonded forces are offloaded to GPUs. For single-node runs, GROMACS-GPU shows ~18x better performance when compared to single-node CPU-only runs. Also for single-node runs, GROMACS-GPU performance is approximately ~3x better than that observed from accelerated GROMACS execution on 5 nodes. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper, an isolated bi-directional full bridge DC/DC converter, capable of transferring power between 400V dc bus and a 48V battery pack is presented. Passive and active clamp circuit, which is necessary for the proper working of the circuit, is explained and compared their performance. Working of soft start circuit is also explained. Simulation of the complete system is done using PSIM simulation tool and the results are given. A 2kw proto model is designed and the test results are also given. © 2021 IEEE.

Houseboat tourism has emerged as the backbone of the tourism industry of Kerala. Over the past two decades, tremendous increase has been seen in the number of houseboats in lakes and backwaters of the state and it is still growing. Houseboats use fossil fuel based internal combustion engines for their propulsion. It harms the environment and ecology through intense carbon emissions, oil spillages, unrestricted sewage water dumping noise pollution etc. While the carbon emission has a direct impact on global warming, the oil spillage and improper waste management affects the marine ecology like, damaging the marine organisms and significant buildup of marine debris. A recreational vessel with zero carbon emission can only be accomplished through the electrification of the propulsion system and the hotel load system. In this paper the electric propulsion system in houseboat has been considered. It is proposed to replace the conventional internal combustion engine in houseboats with electric propulsion system. This paper details the powertrain subsystem estimation of electric propulsion system for houseboat using backward simulation approach. For this backward simulation method is used to analyse the power and energy required for the propulsion and thereby arrive at the estimation of motor and source. Replacing the conventional internal combustion engine with electric propulsion in the existing houseboats is considered to bring about a huge impact by reducing the carbon emissions and its environment hazards. the number of houseboats is expected to rise in near future. So once the system is implemented it shall be a giant leap towards deployment of clean and green energy projects and shall aid electric mobility initiatives of the nation. © 2022 IEEE

Bangla is a low-resource language that is highly agglutinative, and designing effective search and information retrieval systems over Bangla is quite challenging. This paper presents our explorations toward building (Anwesha), a prototype for a search engine in Bangla. To the best of our knowledge, this search system is the first such initiative in Bangla that facilitates retrieval of semantically related documents by use of diverse knowledge sources like WordNet, statistical co-occurrences (by way of Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA)) and external knowledge sources like Wikipedia (by way of Explicit Semantic Analysis (ESA)). We also present our efforts to overcome the limitations of existing spell-check and lemmatization approaches in Bangla and integrate them into Anwesha. In addition, we also present methods to explain search results by highlighting keywords that LSA or ESA reckons to be semantically related to the query. Since there is no Gold standard dataset available to evaluate the effectiveness of Bangla information retrieval systems, we have created a dataset containing query document relevance pairs in two distinct domains. We analyze the system’s performance on queries having different difficulty levels. Our technique could be adapted to facilitate effective semantic search in other low-resource, highly inflected languages. © 2021 Copyright for this paper by its authors. The isolated dc-dc converter along with energy storage is becoming a promising solution in versatile applications including renewable energy based micro grids, solid state transformers, hybrid electric vehicles, fuel cell and so on. Bi-directional power flow capability and galvanic isolation are considered as prime requirements of a Bi-directional Energy Harvester Interface (BEHI). This paper presents operational principles, simulation/implementation and comparison of an isolated BEHI using Double Active Bridge (DAB) and Isolated Boost Mode Full Bridge (IBMFB) configurations.

In recent years many applications have moved to blockchain-based services due to the increased popularity of blockchain technology. The implementation of this technology in numerous domain applications, such as finance, health management, land record registration, etc. As a result, data security and privacy are essential requirements of the Blockchain platform for protecting users' sensitive data and code. In this paper, a database security framework is proposed specifically tailored for Blockchain-based solutions, including projects based on Hyperledger. Furthermore, this framework detects vulnerabilities in MongoDB and CouchDB and suggests remedial actions. The solution identifies missing patches, exposed Config API, unauthorized changes, misconfigured privileges, and more.

This paper outlines the design and implementation of a test vector generation module for the lightweight block ciphers PRESENT, CLEFIA, and the SPONGENT hash function for use in cryptographic module validation. These algorithms are part of the ISO/IEC 29192-2: 2012 standard and ISO/IEC 29192-5: 2016, respectively. The test vector generation module generates test vectors for being fed to the IUT (Implementation Under Test) for validating the algorithms as per the validation methods described in the ISO/IEC 18367:2016(E) standard for block ciphers and hash functions that can operate in different modes of operation. The implementation of test vector generation modules for these algorithms is done in the C programming language, which is described in this paper. These generated vectors can be used as reference test vectors in CMVT (Crypto Module Validation Testing) labs for validating the cryptographic modules that implement these cryptographic algorithms.

Hyperledger Fabric is becoming the most popular blockchain framework used by enterprises and medium-sized companies. Blockchain technology is used for many different domains like finance, voting service, land record etc. Blockchain innovation is a self-executing program called Smart Contract. Hyperledger fabric uses programming languages like ***, Java, and GO to implement smart contracts also called chaincode. Smart contracts are programmed to moderate critical transactions between individuals or organizations because terms and conditions embedded in the contract will be executed when certain conditions are met. So smart contract needs to be analyzed before deployment to ensure zero vulnerabilities and flaws on the blockchain application, their execution is critical against attacks which aim at stealing assets. Hence security auditing is an essential part of smart contract development. This paper proposes a static code analysis tool for smart contracts named as UBF-ChaincodeScan which helps to identify security risks in the smart contract code written in *** and GO language.
