The implementation of GIS application using hybrid approach on smartphone should have a coordinate transformation capability from one coordinate system into another. One of the available libraries to handle a coordinate transformation is Proj4JS. Unfortunately, this library is not able to perform coordinate transformation from Hotine Oblique Mercator into other projection. One example of this projection is Kertau (RSO) / RSO Malaya (m). We proposed new approach that introduce new formula, algorithm, Proj4JS definition and involve datum transformation to enable the coordinate transformation from Hotine Oblique Mercator into another coordinate system or vice versa. Using the proposed approach, all the features are rendered on top the feature that rendered using Spherical Mercator projection. We compare the result also with the Google Map. It shows that all features are properly rendered on top of Google Map features. © 2019 K. Anshar et al.

The privacy of sensitive data within the Internet of Things (IoT) is at risk due to potential privacy violations. These violations can occur through illegal access by external entities, as well as inadvertent disclosures or intentional attacks by those within the system who exceed their authorized access privileges. Furthermore, there needs to be more control experienced by data owners regarding their sensitive data as it transitions from their domain to other entities within the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem. Numerous methods have been presented in the academic literature over the past few years to effectively tackle the privacy concerns associated with the Internet of Things (IoT). This paper aims to classify existing literature by organizing it according to the specific technology or technique employed to safeguard privacy. The classification encompasses four primary areas of privacy solutions, specifically, solutions based on encryption, solutions based on identity management, solutions based on policy enforcement, and solutions focused on self-protection. The paper examines various state-of-the-art solutions within each category. It begins by providing a broad comparison between these solutions and our work. Subsequently, it focuses on a specific comparison of the privacy objectives of the offered PEFM solutions.

information Retrieval system facilitates the retrieval efficiency of the user’s requirement from a collection of information resources. In this research work, Genetic Algorithm (GA) with various fitness functions are implemented for retrieving the relevant document for the given textual query. To increase the efficiency of the retrieval system extended keywords are added to the retrieval system using query reformulation method. Furthermore, the selection procedure namely fitness proportionate selection is used to identify the best fit individual among the chosen population. This selection algorithm assumes that, for the chosen population, the fittest individuals have a greater chance of endurance than weaker ones. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated with three different datasets solely consists of 20,322 documents are analyzed using various matching functions and their results are examined.

Objectives: Classifying strain in the singing voice can help protect professional singers from vocal overuse and support singing training. This study investigates whether machine learning can automatically classify singing voices into two levels of perceived strain. The singing samples represent two genres: classical and contemporary commercial music (CCM). Methods: A total of 324 singing voice samples from 15 professional normophonic singers (nine female, six male) were analyzed. Nine singers were classical, and six were CCM singers. The samples consisted of syllable strings produced at three to six pitches and three loudness levels. Based on expert auditory-perceptual ratings, the samples were categorized into two strain levels: normal-mild and moderate-severe. Three acoustic feature sets (mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs), the extended Geneva Minimalistic Acoustic Parameter Set (eGeMAPS), and wavelet scattering features) were compared using two classifier models [support vector machine (SVM) and multilayer perceptron (MLP)]. Feature selection was performed using recursive feature elimination, and the Mann-Whitney U test was used to assess the discriminative power of the selected features. Results: The highest classification accuracy of 86.1% was achieved using a subset of wavelet scattering features with the MLP classifier. A comparison between individual features showed that the first MFCC coefficient, representing spectral tilt, exhibited the greatest between-class separation. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that machine learning models utilizing selected acoustic features can classify perceptual strain of singing voices automatically with high accuracy. These preliminary findings highlight the potential for larger studies involving more diverse singer groups across different genres. © 2025 The Authors

We study quantum hypothesis testing between orthogonal states under restricted local measurements in the many-copy scenario. For testing arbitrary multipartite entangled pure state against its orthogonal complement state via the local operation and classical communication (LOCC) operation, we prove that the optimal average error probability always decays exponentially in the number of copies. Second, we provide a sufficient condition for the LOCC operations to achieve the same performance as the positive-partial-transpose (PPT) operations. We further show that testing a maximally entangled state against its orthogonal complement and testing extremal Werner states both fulfill the above-mentioned condition. Hence, we determine the explicit expressions for the optimal average error probability, the optimal trade-off between the type-I and type-II errors, and the associated Chernoff, Stein, Hoeffding, and strong converse exponents. Then, we show an infinite asymptotic separation between the separable (SEP) and PPT operations by providing a pair of states constructed from an unextendible product basis (UPB). The quantum states can be distinguished perfectly by PPT operations, while the optimal error probability, with SEP operations, admits an exponential lower bound. On the technical side, we prove this result by providing a quantitative version of the well-known statement that the tensor product of UPBs is a UPB. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

The development of the technology and connected devices such as internet of things (IoT), internet of vehicles (IoV), and 5G motivate the researchers to give more attention in the field. Clustering is a key factor in vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) where a number of vehicles join to form a group based on common characteristics. Vehicles are distinguished by their high mobility in ad hoc vehicle networks. Changes frequently occur in the topology of VANET, causing continuous failures in network communication. In such a dynamic environment, the creation and maintenance of a stable cluster are significant challenges. The evaluation of stability in VANET clustering is an important part to evaluate the clustering approaches. In this paper, a mathematical technique (based on the birth-death process) is created to evaluate the clusters stability based on the number of leaving and joining vehicles to each cluster after its creation. The stability of the created clusters is tested by checking the number of vehicles in each cluster at different successive times. These tests indicate the joining and leaving vehicles to each cluster and their effects on the cluster stability. When the results of the technique show that the standard deviation is small for each cluster, it can be concluded that the proposed clustering algorithm is able to achieve stability in cluster maintaining phase. © 2021, CC BY.

A polarization-independent all-textile reflective metasurface – the metapocket, is presented in this paper. This design aims at enhancing gain, and radiation efficiency and reducing the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) of a smartphone antenna when it is placed inside a jacket pocket close to the human body. During the design process, the state-of-the-art smartphone structure, the impact of varying unit cell numbers on reflectivity and the nature of textile materials have been taken into consideration. Also, an AI-driven antenna design algorithm is employed. Full wave simulations with a voxel human body model and real measurement with smartphone vivo iQOO validate the effectiveness of the metapocket. The effect of applying the metapocket is quantified with an anechoic chamber radiation pattern measurement and a reverberation chamber radiation efficiency measurement. Results reveal a 3.17 dB realized gain increase, 34.37% radiation efficiency improvement, and a more than 85% SAR reduction are achieved in the on-body scenario. The proposed design has a high potential for improving smartphone communication with various Internet of Things (IoT) and wearable devices. © 2025 IEEE. All rights reserved,

Cognitive Radio (CR) based Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) or CR-VANET has become a very promising research domain. VANET is used to reduce road accidents, traffic congestion, and to provide other user experiences such as uninterrupted entertainment services. CR, on the other hand, solves bandwidth scarcity issue of VANET. For the high-speed mobility of the vehicles, the cognitive process of CR faces several challenges. Machine Learning (ML) has arrived as an integral tool to handle such challenges. Q-learning algorithm, a member of Reinforcement Learning (RL), which is a type of ML, is the most suitable for CR-VANET as it does not need any prior environment model and training dataset. But the problem is that it takes a longer time for learning purposes. In this paper, a dynamic ML framework is proposed. Case-based reasoning learning, cooperative spectrum sensing, teacher-student transfer learning approach will be aligned with the Q-learning for the faster convergence regarding the spectrum sensing issues in CR-VANET. The framework will accelerate the learning of the vehicles, and that is very important for the energy-efficient and real-life VANET implementation. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This one-day hybrid workshop builds on previous feminist CSCW workshops to explore feminist theoretical and methodological approaches that have provided us with useful tools to see things differently and make space for change. Since its inception over a decade ago, feminist HCI has progressed from the margins to mainstream HCI, with numerous references in the literature. Feminist HCI has also evolved to incorporate other critical HCI practices such as Queer HCI, participatory design, and speculative design. While feminist approaches have grown in popularity and become mainstream, it is getting more difficult to distinguish the feminist emancipatory core from other attempts of developing and improving society in various ways. In this workshop, we therefore want to revisit our feminist roots, where theory is a liberatory and creative practice, motivated by affect, curiosity, and wonder. From this standpoint, we consider which of our feminist tools can make a significant difference today, in a highly datafied world. The goal of this workshop is to;1) create an inventory of feminist theories and concepts that have had an impact on our work as designers, educators, researchers, and activists;2) develop a feminist toolbox for the CSCW community to strengthen our feminist literacy. © 2023 Owner/Author.
