Many location-based services need to query objects existing in a specific space,such as location-based tourism resource *** a large number of spatial objects and the real-time object access requirements of location-based services pose a big challenge for spatial object storage and query *** this paper,we propose HGeoHashBase,an improved storage model by integrating GeoHash with key-value structure,to organize spatial objects for efficient range *** is responsible for spatial encoding and key-value structure as underlying data *** the similarity of the encodings for objects in the close geographical locations and the multi-version data mechanism are blended into the proposed model *** the tradeoff between encoding precision and query performance,a theoretical proof is *** experiments are designed and conducted,whose results show that the proposed model can gain significant performance improvement.

cloud storage services have been used by most businesses and individual users. However, data loss, service interruptions and cyber attacks often lead to cloud storage services not being provided properly, and these incidents have caused financial losses to users. Second, traditional and single-cloud model disaster recovery services are no longer suitable for the current complex cloud storage systems. Therefore, a scheme to provide disaster recovery for cloud storage services in a multi-cloud storage environment is needed in real production. In this paper, we propose a disaster recovery scheme based on blockchain technology. The proposed scheme outlined in this study aims to address the issue of data availability within the cloud storage landscape. The proposed scheme achieves this goal by dividing data into hot and cold categories, verifying the integrity of copy data via blockchain technology, and utilizing blockchain networks to manage multi-cloud storage systems. Experimental findings demonstrate that the proposed scheme yields superior results in terms of computation and time overheads. © 2023 IEEE.

Knowledge Graph (KG) is an essential research direction that involves storing and managing knowledge data, but its incompleteness and sparsity hinder its development in various applications. Knowledge Graph Reasoning (KGR) is an effective method to solve this limitation via reasoning missing knowledge based on existing knowledge. The graph Convolution Network (GCN) based method is one of the state-of-the-art approaches to this work. However, there are still some problems, such as the insufficient ability to perceive graph structure and the poor effect of learning data features which may limit the reasoning accuracy. This paper proposes a KGR architecture based on a graph sequence generator and multi-head self-attention mechanism, named GaM-KGR, to improve the above problems and enhance prediction accuracy. Specifically, the GaM-KGR first introduces the graph generation model into the field of KGR for graph representation learning to obtain the hidden features in the data so that enhancing the reasoning effect and then embeds the generated graph sequence into the multi-head self-attention mechanism for subsequent processing to improve the graph structure perception ability of the proposed architecture, so that it can process the graph structure data more appropriately. Extensive experimental results show that the GaM-KGR architecture can achieve the state-of-the-art prediction results of current GCN-based models. © 2023 IEEE.

In a multi-cloud storage system, provenance data records all operations and ownership during its lifecycle, which is critical for data security and audibility. However, recording provenance data also poses some challenging security and storage issues. In this paper, we present a secure and efficient multi-cloud storage data source scheme, BMDP. We use blockchain technology to ensure the secure storage of provenance data and design a smart contract to utilize the provenance data to ensure the proper operation of the multi-cloud storage system. Finally, we analyze the scheme's safety and do simulation experiments to show that the scheme has practicality. © 2023 IEEE.

Exploring deep gradient information for biometric image feature representation

This paper presents a novel but simple biometric image feature representation method, called exploring deep gradient information (DGI). DGI first captures the local structure of an image by computing the histogram of gradient orientation of each macro-pixel (local patch around the reference pixel). Thus, one image can be decomposed into L sub-images (sub-orientation images) according to the gradient information of each macro-pixel since there are L bins in the local histogram. To enrich the gradient information, we also consider the gradient orientation and magnitude of original image as sub-images. For each sub-image, histogram of oriented gradient (HOG) is used to further explore the gradient orientation information. All HOG features are concatenated into one augmented super-vector. Finally, fisher linear discriminate analysis (FLDA) is applied to obtain the low-dimensional and discriminative feature vector. We evaluated the proposed method on the real-world face image datasets NUST-RWFR, Pubfig and LFW, the PolyU Finger-Knuckle-Print database and the PolyU Palmprint database. Experimental results clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed DGI compared with state-of-the-art algorithms, e.g., SIFT, HOG, LBP, POEM, LARK and IDLS.

Every application in a smart city environment like the smart grid,health monitoring, security, and surveillance generates non-stationary datastreams. Due to such nature, the statistical properties of data changes overtime, leading to class imbalance and concept drift issues. Both these issuescause model performance degradation. Most of the current work has beenfocused on developing an ensemble strategy by training a new classifier on thelatest data to resolve the issue. These techniques suffer while training the newclassifier if the data is imbalanced. Also, the class imbalance ratio may changegreatly from one input stream to another, making the problem more *** existing solutions proposed for addressing the combined issue of classimbalance and concept drift are lacking in understating of correlation of oneproblem with the other. This work studies the association between conceptdrift and class imbalance ratio and then demonstrates how changes in classimbalance ratio along with concept drift affect the classifier’s *** analyzed the effect of both the issues on minority and majority classesindividually. To do this, we conducted experiments on benchmark datasetsusing state-of-the-art classifiers especially designed for data stream ***, recall, F1 score, and geometric mean were used to measure theperformance. Our findings show that when both class imbalance and conceptdrift problems occur together the performance can decrease up to 15%. Ourresults also show that the increase in the imbalance ratio can cause a 10% to15% decrease in the precision scores of both minority and majority *** study findings may help in designing intelligent and adaptive solutionsthat can cope with the challenges of non-stationary data streams like conceptdrift and class imbalance.

cloud computing has gained significant use over the last decade due to its several benefits,including cost savings associated with setup,deployments,delivery,physical resource sharing across virtual machines,and availability of on-demand cloud ***,in addition to usual threats in almost every computing environment,cloud computing has also introduced a set of new threats as consumers share physical resources due to the physical co-location ***,since there are a growing number of attacks directed at cloud environments(including dictionary attacks,replay code attacks,denial of service attacks,rootkit attacks,code injection attacks,etc.),customers require additional assurances before adopting cloud ***,the continuous integration and continuous deployment of the code fragments have made cloud services more prone to security *** this study,the model based on the root of trust for continuous integration and continuous deployment is proposed,instead of only relying on a single signon authentication method that typically uses only id and *** underlying study opted hardware security module by utilizing the Trusted Platform Module(TPM),which is commonly available as a cryptoprocessor on the motherboards of the personal computers and data center *** preliminary proof of concept demonstrated that the TPM features can be utilized through RESTful services to establish the root of trust for continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline and can additionally be integrated as a secure microservice feature in the cloud computing environment.

Early diagnosis of osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) can inhibit the progression and improve femoral head preservation. The radiograph difference between early ONFH and healthy ones is not apparent to the naked eye. It is also hard to produce a large dataset to train the classification model. In this paper, we propose Asymmetric-Sensitive Transformer (AsT) to capture the uneven development of the bilateral femoral head to enable robust ONFH detection. Our ONFH detection is realized using the self-attention mechanism to femoral head regions while conferring sensitivity to the uneven development by the attention-shared transformer. The real-world experiment studies show that AsT achieves the best performance of AUC 0.9313 in the early diagnosis of ONFH and can find out misdiagnosis cases firmly. What is the focus of energy supply chain relationship management during geopolitical risks? Evidence from the stock market based on transaction cost economics

This study examines B2B relationship management practices in energy supply chains under geopolitical risks and their impact on stock market volatility. We analyze U.S. energy firms' earnings conference calls across three dimensions: intra-firm managerial behavior, inter-firm relationship management, and relationship evaluation. Employing Word2Vec and structural topic modeling, we identify specific B2B relationship management strategies deployed during geopolitical uncertainties. Our findings reveal varied effects of these strategies on market volatility. Controls on energy prices, carbon-neutral technological alliances, and ESG assessments contribute to increased volatility. Conversely, strategies focused on maintaining demand in changing markets, long-term shareholder return management, strategic industry communication, and enhanced technological R&D partnerships reduce volatility. Notably, R&D cooperation in LNG technology, customer interaction improvements, and operational efficiency initiatives show no significant effect. Furthermore, market attention moderates the relationship between B2B relationship management and market volatility. Disclosures emphasizing long-term investments correlate with decreased market share and reduced volatility, while short-term investment communications increase both market share and volatility. It suggests energy firms must balance short-term performance with long-term stability in their disclosure strategies. This research advances the application of artificial intelligence in B2B relationship management under geopolitical uncertainty, enriching theoretical foundations in energy supply chain management while providing practical guidance for firms navigating complex global risks.

Trajectory prediction is a hot topic in the field of computer vision and has a wide range of applications. Trajectory prediction refers to predicting the future trajectory of a target based on its past trajectory. This paper proposes a method based on graph neural network and attention mechanism, in order to update trajectory characteristics by implement global pedestrian interaction. And, a direct relationship between history and future is introduced with the attention module for reducing error propagation. The method was evaluated on several real-world crowd datasets, the results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
