Triplet learning, i.e. learning from triplet data, has attracted much attention in computer vision tasks with an extremely large number of categories, e.g., face recognition and person re-identification. Albeit with rapid progress in designing and applying triplet learning algorithms, there is a lacking study on the theoretical understanding of their generalization performance. To fill this gap, this paper investigates the generalization guarantees of triplet learning by leveraging the stability analysis. Specifically, we establish the first general high-probability generalization bound for the triplet learning algorithm satisfying the uniform stability, and then 1 obtain the excess risk bounds of the order (Equation presented). for both stochastic gradient descent (SGD) and regularized risk minimization (RRM), where 2n is approximately equal to the number of training samples. Moreover, an optimistic generalization bound in expectation as fast as O(n−1) is derived for RRM in a low noise case via the on-average stability analysis. The prediction of breast cancer prognosis has been a significant challenge in medical research due to the complex nature of cancer progression and the variability in patient-specific factors. Machine learning techniques have emerged as powerful tools for enhancing prediction accuracy in cancer diagnosis and prognosis. This study evaluates the performance of three widely used machine learning classifiers—artificial Neural Network (ANN), Random Forest (RF), and Support Vector Machine (SVM)—in predicting breast cancer outcomes using the Wisconsin Breast Cancer database. A robust framework was designed to preprocess the dataset, scale features, and assess the classifiers using key evaluation metrics, including accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC). The results reveal that all classifiers demonstrated high predictive accuracy, with SVM achieving the highest accuracy of 97.08%, followed by RF and ANN with 96.67%. While RF recorded superior precision (95.40%), SVM outperformed others in recall (97.70%) and F1-score (96.05%), showcasing its ability to balance prediction precision and sensitivity. These findings underscore the potential of machine learning to augment traditional cancer prognosis methods, providing healthcare professionals with data-driven insights for personalized treatment strategies. This research highlights the critical role of machine learning in transforming cancer care and lays the groundwork for future studies focused on hybrid models and real-world implementation.

Pediatric patients are defined based on the age of 21 years old or younger during the time of diagnosis or treatment. Patients that are traumatized by the unfortunate incident do not have a companion in the ward once admitted. Medical procedures may become invasive that could cause distress for the patients causing them to develop stress and anxiety before the upcoming procedure. The research has developed and tested an interactive robot to assist pediatric patients to undergo medical procedures. Speech recognition and body gestures was built in the robot to interact with the patients. The humanoid robot is programmed to maintain receiving responses from samples of pediatric patients with artificial intelligence (AI) which acted as social skills such as giving feedback and giving mutual gaze while communicating. An Arduino microcontroller was built into the robot to control the movements of the robot via a Bluetooth module. DC motors are used for robot movements that are connected to motor drivers due to the extra power supply required to operate. AI was created for communication skills with patients. The result presents an analysis of the communication performance of the robot and AI. The robot movement was presented, and AI answers communication was listed. Research has presented its significance in that the robot helps and assisted patients to entertain and interact with pediatric patients during hospital stay which motivates and cheer them.

Surprising occurrences like temperature variations, humidity shifts, and vibrations might devalue the products being carried. ICT must be used to stop unwelcome occurrences from happening and fix some problems with the delivery of products. Making it possible to monitor the conditions of storage and transportation of products is one of the main issues. The IoT offers opportunities for tracking and locating goods from point of origin to point of destination and for monitoring traffic conditions. IoT-based solutions make it possible to identify the circumstances around certain delivery procedure abnormalities, including their timing, location, and cause. Additionally, these systems offer the ability to inform the client, transportation providers, or other participants to request urgent help. Businesses may enhance their product portfolio, improve the competitiveness of their business, and enhance route travel times and transportation circumstances. As a result, IoT technology can be advantageous to all parties involved in the logistics chain. The potential of IoT applications for supply chain and logistics management applications, such as vehicle fleet surveillance, commodities control, monitoring location-based assistance, etc., are presented in this article.

Amorphous multi-element materials offer unprecedented tunability in composition and properties, yet their rational design remains challenging due to the lack of predictive structure-property relationships and the vast configurational space. Traditional modeling struggles to capture the intricate short-range order that dictates their stability and functionality. We here introduce ApolloX, a pioneering predictive framework for amorphous multi-element materials, establishing a new paradigm by integrating physics-informed generative modeling with particle swarm optimization, using chemical short-range order as an explicit constraint. By systematically navigating the disordered energy landscape, ApolloX enables the targeted design of thermodynamically stable amorphous configurations. It accurately predicts atomic-scale arrangements, including composition-driven metal clustering and amorphization trends, which are well-validated by experiments, while also guiding synthesis by leveraging sluggish diffusion to control elemental distribution and disorder. The resulting structural evolution, governed by composition, directly impacts catalytic performance, leading to improved activity and stability with increasing amorphization. This predictive-experimental synergy transforms the discovery of amorphous materials, unlocking new frontiers in catalysis, energy storage, and functional disordered systems. Edge Rewiring Goes Neural: Boosting Network Resilience without Rich Features

Improving the resilience of a network is a fundamental problem in network science, which protects the underlying system from natural disasters and malicious attacks. This is traditionally achieved via successive degree-preserving edge rewiring operations, with the major limitation of being transductive. Inductively solving graph-related tasks with sequential actions is accomplished by adopting graph neural networks (GNNs) coupled with reinforcement learning under the scenario with rich graph features. However, such frameworks cannot be directly applied to resilience tasks where only pure topological structure is available. In this case, GNNs can barely learn useful information, resulting in prohibitive difficulty in making actions for successively rewiring edges under a reinforcement learning context. In this paper, we study in depth the reasons why typical GNNs cause such failure. Based on this investigation, we propose ResiNet, the first end-to-end trainable inductive framework to discover Resilient Network topologies while balancing network utility. To this end, we reformulate resilience optimization as an MDP equipped with edge rewiring action space, and propose a pure topology-oriented variant of GNN called Filtration enhanced Graph Neural Network (FireGNN), which can learn from graphs without rich features. Extensive experiments demonstrate that ResiNet achieves a near-optimal resilience gain on various graphs while balancing the utility, and outperforms existing approaches by a large margin. While various models and computational tools have been proposed for structure and property analysis of molecules, generating molecules that conform to all desired structures and properties remains a challenge. Here, we introduce a multi-constraint molecular generation large language model, TSMMG, which, akin to a student, incorporates knowledge from various small models and tools, namely, the 'teachers'. To train TSMMG, we construct a large set of text-molecule pairs by extracting molecular knowledge from these 'teachers', enabling it to generate novel molecules that conform to the descriptions through various text prompts. We experimentally show that TSMMG remarkably performs in generating molecules meeting complex, natural language-described property requirements across two-, three-, and four-constraint tasks, with an average molecular validity of over 99% and success ratio of 82.58%, 68.03%, and 67.48%, respectively. The model also exhibits adaptability through zero-shot testing, creating molecules that satisfy combinations of properties that have not been encountered. It can comprehend text inputs with various language styles, extending beyond the confines of outlined prompts, as confirmed through empirical validation. Additionally, the knowledge distillation feature of TSMMG contributes to the continuous enhancement of small models, while the innovative approach to dataset construction effectively addresses the issues of data scarcity and quality, which positions TSMMG as a promising tool in the domains of drug discovery and materials science. Autonomous vehicles (AVs) are a game-changer in the transportation industry; they will alter cityscapes, cut down on accidents, and reimagine how people experience mobility. This study investigates the complex relationship between autonomous vehicles and high-tech AI systems, looking at how these two technologies can influence transportation in the future. The paper highlights crucial developments in sensor fusion, machine learning algorithms, and real-time data processing that are essential for the development of fully autonomous systems by analyzing the present status of AV technology. As a standardized and systematic management method, business process management plays an important role in the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) scenario. With the rapid development of mobile Internet and the increasing amount of data generated by the Internet of Things devices, the traditional storage scheme can no longer meet the requirements of managing the IIoT mobile business data. The cloud-edge collaborative data storage scheme provides mass storage capability by the cloud data center, and meanwhile takes access delay into account by storing data in the edge servers near to user, making it an effective solution to manage mobile business data in the IIoT scenario. However, the storage capacity of edge servers is relatively limited. How to design a reasonable data placement strategy to maximize the speed of data reading and tasks execution in IIoT business process has become an urgent problem to be solved. In order to shorten the overall running time, reduce data transmission costs and enhance users experience, we propose a data placement strategy based on Bayesian optimization algorithm, which can reasonably allocate storage capacity in the edge side, and further determine which edge server the data should be placed on. The results of the experiment show that the strategy based on our proposed algorithm performs better in a variety of different scenarios than the ones that based on other kind of optimization algorithms which have been adopted in similar studies.

A Constrast-Agnostic Method for Ultra-High Resolution Claustrum Segmentation

The claustrum is a band-like gray matter structure located between putamen and insula whose exact functions are still actively researched. Its sheet-like structure makes it barely visible in in vivo Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans at typical resolutions and neuroimaging tools for its study, including methods for automatic segmentation, are currently very limited. In this paper, we propose a contrast- and resolution-agnostic method for claustrum segmentation at ultra-high resolution (0.35 mm isotropic);the method is based on the SynthSeg segmentation framework (Billot et al., 2023), which leverages the use of synthetic training intensity images to achieve excellent generalization. In particular, SynthSeg requires only label maps to be trained, since corresponding intensity images are synthesized on the fly with random contrast and resolution. We trained a deep learning network for automatic claustrum segmentation, using claustrum manual labels obtained from 18 ultra-high resolution MRI scans (mostly ex vivo). We demonstrated the method to work on these 18 high resolution cases (Dice score = 0.632, mean surface distance = 0.458 mm, and volumetric similarity = 0.867 using 6-fold Cross Validation (CV)), and also on in vivo T1-weighted MRI scans at typical resolutions (≈1 mm isotropic). We also demonstrated that the method is robust in a test-retest setting and when applied to multimodal imaging (T2-weighted, Proton Density and quantitative T1 scans). To the best of our knowledge this is the first accurate method for automatic ultra-high resolution claustrum segmentation, which is robust against changes in contrast and resolution.
