A chip designer mainly focuses on reducing area, power consumption, and delay when designing Integrated Circuit (IC). In many Digital Signal Processing (DSP) systems, multipliers play a vital role. If the delay of multipliers gets reduced, it will change the whole circuit delay, so researchers are going to reduce the area and delay of the circuit. This paper basically gives information about the comparison of all types of parallel multipliers such as an array, Baugh-Wooley, braun, and a tree multiplier that is the daddamultiplieronultra-scale Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) devices. Which gives analysis about the capability and performance of multipliers. This simulation work is done on the Xilinx using the ISM simulator, different ultrascale FPGA devices (Znyque, Kintex 7, Virtex 7, and Artix 7). In the last, a comparative table gives information about the different parameters like delay and area (Number of Look-up tables) used by the particular multiplier. Video manipulation is the method to edit the video for various purposes. The deepfake is the manipulated media created using modern deep learning techniques which are the new AI-based methods for video manipulation, Deepfakes are generated for various good and bad purposes. The bad use of Deepfakes has been rising prominently. Researchers worldwide have been developing methods for Deepfake creation and Deepfake detection. The rate of Deepfake Creation has been rising owing to the opportunity for adversaries for financial fraud. This work is toward the detection of Deepfakes using various AI-based methods. The AI-based methods are majorly based on Deep learning models which are trained for Deepfake Detection through the form of AI Inferencing. Over the last decade, many AI models have been designed for various real-world computer vision problems starting from AlexNet followed by new popular models for instance VGGNet, ResNet, InceptionNet, and many more. EfficientNets and Transformers are the recent state of the art in Deep learning models. For the purpose of Deepfake Detection, we have used these newer architectures. We have trained the model for Deepfake Detection using the publicly available Dataset of DFDC Faceforensics++ and CelebDFV2. Classical computing (CC) takes place in the binary form of 0 and 1, whereas Quantum computing (QC) takes place adhering to fundamental principles of quantum mechanics, i.e., superposition, entanglement, and tunneling. Humanity is in the race to show that QC is better than CC in terms of time, accuracy, and memory requirements. But since Fault-Tolerant QC hardware with solving problems computationally exhaustive for today’s CC are out of reach, we in this paper emulate Use case of the Recommendation System on Quantum Singular Value Transform Framework (QSVT) of Quantum-Inspired Machine Learning (QiML) on CPU using the Qiskit Library, pyqsp library and have shown a quantum advantage in terms of accuracy, in terms of time and memory requirement classical implementation is a winner as computations in the Quantum Emulations are larger owing to unitary matrix conversions of input matrix and considerable depths, but these depths can be reduced to approximate the target polynomial function in which case the Quantum Implementation is comparable to/better than its counterpart at cost of *** entanglement principle of QM is used in the QSVT Circuit for entangling the QSVT Qubit with unitary Qubits by using the CNOT gates. Also, the entanglement principle is inherently present in the Input User Preference Rating Unitary Matrix as well, if the exact tensor decomposition at a break-off qubit length of the input user preference unitary matrix is not *** input quantum state of our QSVT circuit can be initialized to the superposition of input user states to access all the items corresponding to all the users in one run of the circuit. Hence by using the fundamental principles of quantum mechanics, we have shown quantum advantage over classical implementation in terms of accuracy. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

In today's fast-paced world of technology, we rely on digital interactions more than ever. But with this convenience comes a growing need for security and trust. As we navigate our daily lives online, issues such as data breaches, unauthorized access, and fraud are real concerns that can affect us all. It is vital to prioritize the safety of our digital experiences to build the trust we need to thrive in this digital age. These challenges are particularly acute in the management of personal health records (PHRs), where existing centralized systems do not offer reliable, easily traceable, and securely managed control over patient's medical data. This paper explores the revolutionary capabilities of blockchain technology in addressing the critical shortcomings of traditional PHR management systems. The unique characteristics of the blockchain are decentralization, security, immutability, transparency, and anonymity, which presents a groundbreaking solution to the issues plaguing current systems. By eliminating the risks associated with centralized data storage, blockchain provides a secure and transparent platform for managing health records, ensuring that they remain tamper-proof. The literature survey conducted in this paper examines various research studies that have proposed and explored Blockchain-based solutions for health record management. These studies highlight the significant advantages of blockchain, including enhanced data integrity, privacy, and patient control over health information. Comparative analysis underscores the need for a paradigm shift from centralized to decentralized systems that enhance both the security and efficiency of managing health records. © 2025 IEEE.

Fire presents a serious risk to life and can be triggered by various factors across different environments. In some areas, the absence of fire detection systems is often due to the high initial investment costs, particularly when the need for such systems is temporary. To tackle this issue, we propose a portable fire detection system as an innovative solution. This system features sensors that monitor for fire outbreaks and alert authorities. A key challenge to its adoption is the limitation on power consumption. To mitigate this, we have developed a custom microcontroller board designed for a low-power, battery-operated portable fire detection system, which has been field-tested. A thorough power analysis of the system has been conducted, revealing a sensor battery life of 62 days. This paper details the design features and presents the findings of the power analysis performed.

The advent of computers has significantly diminished the need for manual computation. As technology has evolved, it has led to the creation of classical computers with high performance, throughput, and memory capacity. Classical computers store data in binary format, using bits that can either be 0 or 1, typically represented by low and high voltage levels, respectively. While effective, this method sometimes demands considerable resources for certain computations. In contrast, quantum computers represent the cutting edge of computing technology. They utilize quantum bits or qubits, which exploit quantum mechanical phenomena like superposition and entanglement, allowing for more efficient problem-solving. This paper presents a simplified overview of the core concepts of quantum computing.

According to data provided by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH), Government of India, about 1.68 lakh people have lost their lives in accidents and nearly 4.4 lakh people have suffered injuries [1]. The number of accidents has increased by approximately 12% year on year. The data also show that people affected by accidents are likely to be in the age group of 15 to 49 years. This age group is virtually the pillar that supports the nation's development. Therefore, road fatalities can indirectly influence the nations development. In this work, we have implemented a system aimed towards powered two-wheelers (PTWs) that detects accidents and sends an SOS signal to a preconfigured contact. The system, upon detecting an accident/critical event, can attempt to convey the SOS signal in multiple modalities for redundancy. The SOS signal includes the last known GNSS coordinates of the vehicle to be able to pinpoint the location of the incident. The system also has a manual SOS trigger option that can be used as a panic button. Detection is performed by a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based classifier running on the system using Edge AI capability that uses sensory output from an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and its derivative data for input features. In this work, we have experimented with the possibility of improving the classification performance of the classifier by augmenting the input feature set with Multivariate Cumulative Summation (MCUSUM) [2] control chart statistic of the IMU data. The results show that this technique can give marked improvements in the overall accuracy of the classification system.

Experience with adapting to a software framework for a use-case in computational science

The effective use of HPC infrastructure critically depends on the human resources involved in the maintenance and operation of these systems alongside the domain scientists and scientific programmers who develop scientific applications to leverage these systems. The workforce typically consists of undergraduates/postgraduates in different fields with broad areas of training in scientific computing and some programming skills with aptitude in HPC. However, there is a gap in the university-level curriculum and the skill set required to adapt to the requirements for developing scientific applications. Some efforts are there to fill this gap through workforce training programs to prepare the graduates for HPC jobs in industry/national labs. In this work, we share our experience training the workforce to adapt to AMReX (https://***/amrex/docs_html/), a software framework developed under the Exascale computing project for scientific application development. It requires recapitulation of partial differential equations (PDEs), an indispensable mathematical model for describing physical systems across different scientific domains. We discuss our engagement with the intern, the trainees, and the development team in orienting them to scientific computing on the HPC platform, PDE solvers in particular. We highlight some of the features of the AMReX framework that helped the development team to contribute AMReX-based phase field solvers in the MicroSim phase field solver suite as a case study in adapting to the framework. These solvers can target different architectures without modifications due to the abstraction layer that provides immunity to developers for programming on different architectures. This experience can help to evolve a training model to build the HPC workforce. © 2025

Breaking barrier of binding buffer in colorimetric aptasensing of tetracycline in food fish using peroxidase mimic gold NanoZyme

Tetracycline is extensively used in aquaculture as a therapeutic agent that needs to be monitored due to food safety concerns. Aptasensing has been revealed as a suitable diagnostic platform for tetracycline sensing in food matrix due to its quick, low cost and robust nature. But, the colorimetric aptasensing of tetracycline employing the peroxidase activity of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) to 3,3,5,5-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) was unsuitable until now owing to the aptamer-specific alkaline binding buffer. The present study developed a method with an optimized reaction protocol diminishing the inhibitory effect of binding buffer on the sensor probe (AuNPs-aptamer + TMB + H₂O₂). The overall peroxidase activity of the sensor probe was only inhibited by tetracycline through selective adsorption on the AuNPs-aptamer complex. The peroxidase inhibition percentage in the test range of 0.01 to 0.5 mg L^-1 tetracycline gave a logarithmic response (R², 0.99) with a detection limit of 0.017 mg L^-1 which is less than the prescribed limit (0.1 mg L^-1) set by EU and FSSAI. The developed sensing system in fish muscle showed high recovery (111–115 %) with great potential for rapid detection of tetracycline in fish muscle. © 2025 Elsevier Inc.
