Multicarrier Waveform(MCW)has several advantages and plays a very important role in cellular *** generation(5G)MCW such as Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA)and Filter Bank Multicarrier(FBMC)are thought to be important in 5G *** Peak to Average Power Ratio(PAPR)is seen as a serious concern in MCW since it reduces the efficiency of amplifier use in the user *** paper presents a novel Divergence Selective Mapping(DSLM)and Divergence Partial Transmission Sequence(D-PTS)for 5G *** is seen that the proposed D-SLM and PTS lower PAPR with low computational *** work highlighted a combination of multi-data block partial transmit schemes along with tone *** this,an overlapping factor is used to determine the number of data blocks for every ***,considering only those data blocks that have minimum signal power,the use of DSLM and DPTS are required to eliminate the segment’s *** results reveal that the suggested hybrid technique proves to be better than the conventional PTS ***,the power saving performance of FBMC and NOMA is compared with the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM)waveform.

As artificial intelligence (AI) advances, it is essential to continuously comprehend its limitations to optimise the integration of AI into autonomous systems that empower humans. The first objective of this study is to highlight the key capabilities of both humans and AI, focusing on the differences and identifying limitations of AI from the literature. Through discrepancy analysis, this study uses a Venn diagram to visualise the remaining limitations of AI into five key domains: (i) emotional intelligence, (ii) consciousness and awareness, (iii) creative imagination, (iv) communication, and (v) ethical decision-making. Furthermore, this study employs thematic bibliometric analysis to provide a more detailed examination of each AI limitation as the second objective. This study has identified underdeveloped and emerging research themes with potential for future development, such as emotion recognition, human-computer interaction, digital health, and situational awareness, which may require further research. Additionally, this study commends the ongoing efforts to harness AI’s computational power and algorithmic innovations to enhance AI’s overall performance and applicability. ©2024 IEEE.

Stochastic modeling approaches have attracted many researchers to the field. However, fire hotspot detection suffers from not using a Markov chain quasi-Monte Carlo (MCQMC) as a forecasting methodology. This paper proposes improvements to the computational time by combining the strengths of the Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) and quasi-Monte Carlo (QMC) methods. The proposed method can lead to more precise and stable results, particularly in problems with high-dimensional integration or complex probability distributions. The proposed method is applied to a case study of fire hotspot detection in Sarawak, Malaysia. The outcome of this study reveals that the MCQMC method is more computationally efficient, taking only 0.0746 seconds compared to MCMC’s 0.0914 seconds and QMC’s 0.0994 seconds. It is shown that the best option derived by the proposed method is effective in predicting fire hotspots and providing quick solutions to protect the environment and communities from forest fires. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Street lighting enables road users to see the road clearly and readily in the dark, as well as the lighten up the surroundings. Ineffective of street lighting technologies utilized throughout in many places in certain areas had caused high operating cost and energy wastage. This paper aims to design and simulate different street lighting system using DIALux for better energy saving application. This design had considered both MS835 and JKR standards and at the same time considered the optimal design of it in Universiti Malaysia Perlis campus. The design starts off with simulating the street lighting using DIALux evo software to calculate the luminous effects, energy demand and eventually costing and energy saving of each different lighting system. The purpose of comparing these lighting systems were to find out an energy saving application to replace existing High Pressure Sodium (HPS) street lighting system. Compared between 8 types of different lighting systems, it is concluded that Light Emitting Diode LED&L ED+PIR is the best lighting system. It has the best performance in terms of low power consumption, low energy demand, an acceptable cost of operation and a short payback period which is 8 years. Therefore, based on current simulations study in Universiti Malaysia Perlis, the proposed street lighting system in LED&L ED+PIR street lighting system. © 2022 IEEE.

In recent years,there are numerous studies on chaotic systems with special equilibrium curves having various shapes such as circle,butterfly,heart and *** paper describes a new 3-D chaotic dynamical system with a capsule-shaped equilibrium *** proposed chaotic system has two quadratic,two cubic and two quartic nonlinear *** is noted that the proposed chaotic system has a hidden attractor since it has an infinite number of equilibrium *** is also established that the proposed chaotic system exhibits multi-stability with two coexisting chaotic attractors for the same parameter values but differential initial states.A detailed bifurcation analysis with respect to variations in the system parameters is portrayed for the new chaotic system with capsule equilibrium *** have shown MATLAB plots to illustrate the capsule equilibrium curve,phase orbits of the new chaotic system,bifurcation diagrams and *** an engineering application,we have proposed a speech cryptosystem with a numerical algorithm,which is based on our novel 3-D chaotic system with a capsule-shaped equilibrium *** proposed speech cryptosystem follows its security evolution and implementation on Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA)*** results show that the proposed encryption system utilizes 33%of the FPGA,while the maximum clock frequency is 178.28 MHz.

Real-time indoor camera localization is a significant problem in indoor robot navigation and surveillance *** scene can change during the image sequence and plays a vital role in the localization performance of robotic applications in terms of accuracy and *** research proposed a real-time indoor camera localization system based on a recurrent neural network that detects scene change during the image *** annotated image dataset trains the proposed system and predicts the camera pose in *** system mainly improved the localization performance of indoor cameras by more accurately predicting the camera *** also recognizes the scene changes during the sequence and evaluates the effects of these *** system achieved high accuracy and real-time *** scene change detection process was performed using visual rhythm and the proposed recurrent deep architecture,which performed camera pose prediction and scene change impact ***,this study proposed a novel real-time localization system for indoor cameras that detects scene changes and shows how they affect localization performance.

Phishing attacks present a serious threat to enterprise systems,requiring advanced detection techniques to protect sensitive *** study introduces a phishing email detection framework that combines Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers(BERT)for feature extraction and CNN for classification,specifically designed for enterprise information ***’s linguistic capabilities are used to extract key features from email content,which are then processed by a convolutional neural network(CNN)model optimized for phishing *** an accuracy of 97.5%,our proposed model demonstrates strong proficiency in identifying phishing *** approach represents a significant advancement in applying deep learning to cybersecurity,setting a new benchmark for email security by effectively addressing the increasing complexity of phishing attacks.

Cervical cancer is screened by pap smear methodology for detection and classification *** smear images of the cervical region are employed to detect and classify the abnormality of cervical *** this paper,we proposed the first system that it ables to classify the pap smear images into a seven classes *** smear images are exploited to design a computer-aided diagnoses system to classify the abnormality in cervical images *** features that have been extracted using ResNet101 are employed to discriminate seven classes of images in Support Vector Machine(SVM)*** success of this proposed system in distinguishing between the levels of normal cases with 100%accuracy and 100%*** top of that,it can distinguish between normal and abnormal cases with an accuracy of 100%.The high level of abnormality is then studied and classified with a high *** the other hand,the low level of abnormality is studied separately and classified into two classes,mild and moderate dysplasia,with∼92%*** proposed system is a built-in cascading manner with five models of polynomial(SVM)*** overall accuracy in training for all cases is 100%,while the overall test for all seven classes is around 92%in the test phase and overall accuracy reaches 97.3%.The proposed system facilitates the process of detection and classification of cervical cells in pap smear images and leads to early diagnosis of cervical cancer,which may lead to an increase in the survival rate in women.

Identifying crack propagation direction and depth is crucial for steel structure safety. This study explores an orthogonal eddy current excitation technique for detecting multi-orientation slits in mild steels. Using 3-D finite element (FE) simulation, the normal magnetic response ${B}_{{z}}$ distribution induced by orthogonal eddy current excitation is calculated. Two perpendicular inductor arrays mimic orthogonal eddy currents. Artificial vertical, horizontal, 45°, and cross slits on a 12-mm mild steel plate are modeled, and the normal magnetic response contributed by these slits is simulated. Findings show that the orthogonal eddy current excitation technique causes a change in the magnetic field distribution for all types of slits, indicating its ability to resolve any orientation of the slits. Both x- and y-differential signals exhibit similar sensitivity in detecting vertical and horizontal slits. In contrast to the real component of the differential signal, the imaginary components showed a higher normalized differential value due to slits, suggesting a higher detection sensitivity of the differential imaginary components. The orthogonal eddy current induction technique would be a preferable choice to be implemented in an ECT probe.
