With the improvement of current online communication schemes,it is now possible to successfully distribute and transport secured digital Content via the communication channel at a faster transmission *** steganography and cryptography concepts are used to achieve the goal of concealing secret Content on a media and encrypting it before *** of the techniques mentioned above aid in the confidentiality of feature *** proposed approach concerns secret content embodiment in selected pixels on digital image layers such as Red,Green,and *** private Content originated from a medical client and was forwarded to a medical practitioner on the server end through the *** K-Means clustering principle uses the contouring approach to frame the pixel clusters on the image *** content embodiment procedure is performed on the selected pixel groups of all layers of the image using the Least Significant Bit(LSB)substitution technique to build the secret Content embedded image known as the stego image,which is subsequently transmitted across the internet medium to the server *** experimental results are computed using the inputs from“Open-Access Medical Image Repositories(***)”and demonstrate the scheme’s impudence as the Content concealing procedure progresses.

Measuring emotions in educational settings can provide important information in predicting and explaining student learning outcomes. Knowledge of student’s classroom emotions can also help teachers understand their students’ learning behaviors, improve their teaching methods, and optimize students’ learning and development. However, it can be highly challenging for teachers to monitor and accurately understand student emotions within classroom or group contexts, especially while they are actively teaching and attending to many students simultaneously. Video recording classroom activity can address that issue as high-definition cameras can be used to continuously record groups of students, enabling online or offline analyses of student emotions and supplementing teacher monitoring, retrieval, and interpretation of those processes. Teachers find it difficult to use existing emotion recognition methods to analyze student behaviors in videos due to a lack of user-friendly interfaces that facilitate automatic analysis. To address this challenge, we developed EmoRoom, an open-source tool designed to simplify the annotation and analysis of videos from an emotional perspective. EmoRoom tool offers a practical solution for quantifying and visualizing the frequency of emotions for individuals of interest. Furthermore, it can assist teachers in refining their teaching methods by offering a comprehensive overview of students’ emotional experiences during learning. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Cryptocurrencies have become a major element in enterprises and financial market showing promising potential during the past ten years. Predictions that are accurate can help cryptocurrencies investors to make the best decisions and possibly enhance their earnings. For this work 4 cryptocurrencies namely Bitcoin, Binance Coin, Ethereum and Tether (USDT) are considered. The considered dataset is for around 5 years, which has a total of 9 columns, One Date Column ranging from year 2017 to 2022 and for each of the Coin there is the Closing price and the Volume. The Dataset is collected from Kaggle. Attempts are made to build the models in various ways, by dealing with certain features or by taking a subset of the dataset. All the models, according to the way the dataset was dealt were evaluated based on certain evaluation metrics like R-squared, mean square error and root mean square error. The models used are KNN, Decision Tree, Random Forest, XGBoost and CatBoost. Visualized and understood how the prices of those cryptocurrencies were impacted by other features of the dataset. The models that outperformed are Random Forest and CatBoost. Achieved RMSE was 365, 2.99, 29.99 and 0.0023 for Bitcoin, Binance, Ethereum and USDT respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

In wireless body sensor networks (WBSNs), ensuring secure and efficient key distribution is critical, particularly given the limited computational and energy resources of the sensors. Existing methods often struggle to balance security with these resource constraints, especially in environments involving physiological data such as acceleration (ACC) and electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. For the first time, this study proposes a novel hybrid approach that integrates fuzzy commitment with ACC signal noise and ECG features for efficient key generation and distribution in WBSNs. By employing a low-pass filter to process ACC signal noise, we generated highly random binary sequences (BSs), leveraging the inherent randomness of the signal for secure key generation. Concurrently, an optimized coding scheme was built for ECG feature construction to ensure secure key distribution between devices. Extensive experiments, including entropy analysis and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) statistical tests, confirm the robustness and security of our method. The proposed scheme achieves a false acceptance rate (FAR) of 5.23%, demonstrating superior performance across multiple databases in comparison to benchmark approaches. This novel dual-key generation strategy that combines the unpredictability of ACC noise with the individual-specific traits of ECG signals can significantly enhance the security, applicability, and versatility of WBSNs. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

The considerable surge in energy consumption due to population growth and the use of new technology has posed significant challenges to energy security and the environment. Managing energy consumption on the consumer side is crucial as the demand for energy continues to increase. Consumers need to monitor their daily usage and understand consumption standards to prepare themselves for energy efficiency and cost savings. To address these challenges, a Smart Energy Management System (SEMS) based on the Internet of Energy (IoE) has been developed. This system uses day-Ahead planning and accurate energy availability forecasting to manage energy demand in a smart environment with high sustainable energy penetration. The Fuzzy based Weighted Federated Learning (FWFML) approach is integrated into the system to optimize energy management. The SEMS system monitors energy usage at the user level, and a review of management plans has been introduced to improve energy efficiency in terms of 93.5% accuracy, and 6.5% miss-rate. This research work also highlights future challenges in developing SEMS to increase energy efficiency in a more robust manner. © 2024 IEEE.

Indoor localization (IL) plays a critical role in various applications, including asset tracking, emergency response, and indoor navigation. Traditional methods relying on one-dimensional (1D) representations of received signal strength indicator (RSSI) data often suffer from limitations such as low accuracy, environmental sensitivity, and susceptibility to interference. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes Scalogram-Based Transfer Learning for Indoor Localization (STL-IL), a novel framework that significantly enhances localization performance. The proposed approach transforms 1D RSSI signals into two-dimensional (2D) representations using scalogram-based time-frequency analysis, coupled with advanced transfer learning (TL) techniques. By leveraging the scalogram method to generate image representations of the data and employing diverse wavelet types. Furthermore, pre-trained deep learning models, including GoogleNet and SqueezeNet, are utilized to achieve state-of-the-art performance. Experimental results demonstrate that the STL-IL system achieves remarkable accuracy levels of 95% and 96% for SqueezeNet and GoogleNet, respectively. The proposed framework not only improves localization accuracy but also enhances robustness in dynamic and challenging environments, making it a promising solution for real-world indoor localization applications. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Brain tumours, characterised by abnormal cell development inside the brain, pose a significant risk to individuals due to their high mortality rate. Early identification is essential for accurate diagnosis and successful treatment to enhance patient outcomes. However, diagnosing small tumours can be difficult and error-prone, as it largely depends on the experience and qualifications of medical personnel. Therefore, an automated diagnostic approach that reduces diagnostic time while increasing accuracy is desperately needed. This study addresses the challenges of manual diagnosis by applying deep learning algorithms to brain tumour segmentation. Additional challenges in applying deep learning for tumour segmentation include handling low-quality scans, variations in tumour features, and insufficient data. We present an emerging concept combining Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality as a valuable tool, providing deep learning model deployment, immersive visualisation, and interactive functionalities to support diagnosis and surgical interventions for brain tumours. The achieved performance is competitive with the literature, and feedback from medical professionals after deployment evaluation is satisfactory. © 2024 IEEE.

In the process of engineering project construction, the balanced allocation of resources has an important impact on the purchase of actual materials, the progress of the site construction and the arrangement of temporary facilities. Although there have been many studies on the use of evolutionary computation (EC) to solve the fixed duration of the resource-leveling problem, the optimization effect of standard EC to solve the resource-balancing problem in large-scale network design planning is reduced due to the phenomenon of premature convergence of PSO and the complexity of large-scale network planning. Therefore, in this paper, an adaptive dissipative particle swarm optimization (ADPSO) algorithm is used to solve the resource balancing optimization problem for different network-plans scales, and the feasibility of the developed model is verified using four different scaled network plans (databases). At the same time, a solution to the dynamic resource-leveling problem with optimization for a fixed duration is proposed. The results show that the proposed models are suitable for solving the problem of resource-leveling with a fixed duration of optimization of different scale network plans, and their accuracy and stability are significantly improved compared to the state-of-the-art approaches. Moreover, the proposed models are accurate and suitable for combining the calculation method of network planning time parameters with the ADPSO algorithm to realize dynamic resource balancing optimization. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Every application in a smart city environment like the smart grid,health monitoring, security, and surveillance generates non-stationary datastreams. Due to such nature, the statistical properties of data changes overtime, leading to class imbalance and concept drift issues. Both these issuescause model performance degradation. Most of the current work has beenfocused on developing an ensemble strategy by training a new classifier on thelatest data to resolve the issue. These techniques suffer while training the newclassifier if the data is imbalanced. Also, the class imbalance ratio may changegreatly from one input stream to another, making the problem more *** existing solutions proposed for addressing the combined issue of classimbalance and concept drift are lacking in understating of correlation of oneproblem with the other. This work studies the association between conceptdrift and class imbalance ratio and then demonstrates how changes in classimbalance ratio along with concept drift affect the classifier’s *** analyzed the effect of both the issues on minority and majority classesindividually. To do this, we conducted experiments on benchmark datasetsusing state-of-the-art classifiers especially designed for data stream ***, recall, F1 score, and geometric mean were used to measure theperformance. Our findings show that when both class imbalance and conceptdrift problems occur together the performance can decrease up to 15%. Ourresults also show that the increase in the imbalance ratio can cause a 10% to15% decrease in the precision scores of both minority and majority *** study findings may help in designing intelligent and adaptive solutionsthat can cope with the challenges of non-stationary data streams like conceptdrift and class imbalance.

Air pollution can affect human health, so it is necessary to predict the air quality index (AQI) in advance. In this work, air quality data collected by the Internet of Drone Things (IoDT) is predicted and analyzed to detect highly polluted zones using a distributed privacy-preserving federated learning (FL) approach. Air quality data for a particular zone is collected and then fed into a Long short-Term memory (LSTM) based model to predict the pollution level in local training. Global aggregation is done by an IoDT-mounted central server to aggregate the received models from the local IoDT level. Privacy-preserving FedHZone predicts and analyses the AQI values from the past time series dataset in a multi-drone environment. This work detects the most hazardous zone in a larger region of Jaipur, Rajasthan using real-Time data. The result shows FedHZone with stacked LSTM having ''2%-7% better accuracy than the vanilla LSTM-based model. © 2024 IEEE.
