This paper presents a tool relying on data service architecture, where technical details of all VBS datasets are completely hidden behind an abstract stateless data layer. The data services allow independent development of interactive search interfaces and refinement techniques, which is demonstrated by a smart front-end component. The component supports common search features and allows users to exploit content-based statistics for effective filtering. We believe that video data services might be a valuable addition to the open-source VBS toolkit, especially when available for the competition on a shared server with all VBS datasets, extracted features, and meta-data behind. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Advances in digitization and resource-sharing business models have created new opportunities for manufacturing companies, enhancing competitiveness and resilience. However, these benefits bring computational challenges in efficiently planning and scheduling shared resources. Therefore, there is a need for scalable and quick solutions for practical applications. Shared manufacturing systems share characteristics with parallel machine scheduling, allowing for the application of advancements from this domain. This research focuses on Multi-Agent Parallel Machine Scheduling (MAPMS) in shared manufacturing, specifically addressing scenarios involving two parallel machines and distinct agents managing exclusive, set of non-overlapping orders. The study introduces a novel multi-objective mixed integer programming (MIP) model for order scheduling across multiple facilities, accounting for sequence-dependent setup times between orders. It also proposes a new heuristic method designed for industrial use. Benchmark instances demonstrate the practicality of both the MIP model and heuristic, contributing valuable insights into MAPMS challenges in shared manufacturing environments. © 2025 The Authors.

Adversarial attacks rely on transferability, where an adversarial example (AE) crafted on a surrogate classifier tends to mislead a target classifier. Recent ensemble methods demonstrate that AEs are less likely to mislead multiple classifiers in an ensemble. This paper proposes a new ensemble training using a Pairwise Adversarially Robust Loss (PARL) that by construction produces an ensemble of classifiers with diverse decision boundaries. PARL utilizes outputs and gradients of each layer with respect to network parameters in every classifier within the ensemble simultaneously. PARL is demonstrated to achieve higher robustness against black-box transfer attacks than previous ensemble methods as well as adversarial training without adversely affecting clean example accuracy. Extensive experiments using standard Resnet20, WideResnet28-10 classifiers demonstrate the robustness of PARL against state-of-the-art adversarial attacks. While maintaining similar clean accuracy and lesser training time, the proposed architecture has a 24.8% increase in robust accuracy (= 0.07) from the state-of-the art method. Crop yield prediction is a crucial task in agricultural science, involving the classification of potential yield into various levels. This is vital for both farmers and policymakers. The features considered for this task are diverse, including weather, soil, and historical yield data. Recently, plant images captured in different modalities, such as red-green-blue, infrared, and multispectral bands, have also been utilized. Most of these data are inherently temporal. Integrating such multimodal and temporal data is advantageous for yield classification. In this work, a deep learning framework based on meta-transformers and temporal graph neural networks has been proposed to achieve this goal. Meta-Transformers allow the modeling of multimodal interactions, while temporayel graph neural networks enable the utilization of time sequences. Experimental results on the publicly available EPFL multimodal dataset demonstrate that the proposed framework achieves a high classification accuracy of nearly 97%, surpassing other state-of-the-art models, such as long short-term memory networks, 1-D convolutional neural networks, and Transformers. In addition, the proposed model excels in accuracy metrics, with a precision of approximately 98%, an F1-Score of 91%, and a recall of 94% in crop yield prediction. © 2024 IEEE.

Decompilation aims to convert binary code to high-level source code, but traditional tools like Ghidra often produce results that are difficult to read and execute. Motivated by the advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs), we propose LLM4Decompile, the first and largest open-source LLM series (1.3B to 33B) trained to decompile binary code. We optimize the LLM training process and introduce the LLM4Decompile-End models to decompile binary directly. The resulting models significantly outperform GPT-4o and Ghidra on the HumanEval and ExeBench benchmarks over 100% in terms of re-executability rate. Additionally, we improve the standard refinement approach to fine-tune the LLM4DecompileRef models, enabling them to effectively refine the decompiled code from Ghidra and achieve a further 16.2% improvement over the LLM4Decompile-End. LLM4Decompile demonstrates the potential of LLMs to revolutionize binary code decompilation, delivering remarkable improvements in readability and executability while complementing conventional tools for optimal results. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the world *** of heart disease is a prominent topic in the clinical data *** increase patient survival rates,early diagnosis of heart disease is an important field of research in the medical *** are many studies on the prediction of heart disease,but limited work is done on the selection of *** selection of features is one of the best techniques for the diagnosis of heart *** this research paper,we find optimal features using the brute-force algorithm,and machine learning techniques are used to improve the accuracy of heart disease *** performance evaluation,accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity are used with split and cross-validation *** results of the proposed technique are evaluated in three different heart disease datasets with a different number of records,and the proposed technique is found to have superior *** selection of optimized features generated by the brute force algorithm is used as input to machine learning algorithms such as Support Vector Machine(SVM),Random Forest(RF),K Nearest Neighbor(KNN),and Naive Bayes(NB).The proposed technique achieved 97%accuracy with Naive Bayes through split validation and 95%accuracy with Random Forest through *** Bayes and Random Forest are found to outperform other classification approaches when accurately *** results of the proposed technique are compared with the results of the existing study,and the results of the proposed technique are found to be better than other ***,our proposed approach plays an important role in the selection of important features and the automatic detection of heart disease.

Geometric representation of query embeddings (using points, particles, rectangles and cones) can effectively achieve the task of answering complex logical queries expressed in first-order logic (FOL) form over knowledge graphs, allowing intuitive encodings. However, current geometric-based methods depend on the neural approach to model FOL operators (conjunction, disjunction and negation), which are not easily explainable with considerable computation cost. We overcome this challenge by introducing a symbolic modeling approach for the FOL operators, emphasizing the direct calculation of the intersection between geometric shapes, particularly sector-cones in the embedding space, to model the conjunction operator. This approach reduces the computation cost as a non-neural approach is involved in the core logic operators. Moreover, we propose to accelerate the learning in the relation projection operator using the neural approach to emphasize the essential role of this operator in all query structures. Although empirical evidence for explainability is challenging, our approach demonstrates a significant improvement in answering complex logical queries (both non-negative and negative FOL forms) over previous geometric-based models. © 2023 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Machine Learning Prediction Models of Optimal Time for Aortic Valve Replacement in Asymptomatic Patients

Currently,the decision of aortic valve replacement surgery time for asymptomatic patients with moderate-to-severe aortic stenosis(AS)is made by healthcare professionals based on the patient’s clinical biometric records.A delay in surgical aortic valve replacement(SAVR)can potentially affect patients’quality of *** using ML algorithms,this study aims to predict the optimal SAVR timing and determine the enhancement in moderate-to-severe AS patient survival following *** study represents a novel approach that has the potential to improve decision-making and,ultimately,improve patient *** analyze data from 176 patients with moderate-to-severe aortic stenosis who had undergone or were indicated for *** divide the data into two groups:those who died within the first year after SAVR and those who survived for more than one year or were still alive at the last *** then use six different ML algorithms,Support Vector Machine(SVM),Classification and Regression Tree(C and R tree),Generalized Linear(GL),Chi-Square Automatic Interaction Detector(CHAID),Artificial Neural Net-work(ANN),and Linear Regression(LR),to generate predictions for the best timing for *** results showed that the SVM algorithm is the best model for predicting the optimal timing for SAVR and for predicting the post-surgery survival *** optimizing the timing of SAVR surgery using the SVM algorithm,we observed a significant improvement in the survival period after *** study demonstrates that ML algorithms generate reliable models for predicting the optimal timing of SAVR in asymptomatic patients with moderate-to-severe AS.
