A prototype of a cheap IoT system for real-time monitoring of river water quality has been developed. The system consists of monitoring stations and appropriate presentation devices (computer, phone, or similar). Each monitoring station has a possibility for real-time measurement of 4 parameters: temperature, pH, turbidity, and dissolved oxygen. They are measured through probes submerged directly in the water. The probes are connected to the Raspberry Pi 3 model B, and through wi-fi communication, the measured data are transferred to the data storage cloud and then transferred to the visualization platform. The collected data in the IoT system is calculated and presented in real-time. Using real-time we can have instant information on the water quality and an alarm for possible contamination. Collected data on the remote server station can be used for deeper water quality analysis.

This article presents developments by its authors: the IndustrialKit library package and the RCWorkspace application based on it. The library allows developers of third-party applications to use the functionality of programming and modeling robotic technological complexes in their products. The object-oriented concept of the package provides opportunities for offline training of manipulation robots in a developed simulation environment, subsequent transfer and launch of programs on real robots, organization of feedback control and obtaining statistical data from industrial equipment - common models of robots and various equipment devices, which is achieved through a unified structure of program modules. The connection of external visual models of production system components - robots, tools and parts - is demonstrated. An example of performing the task of assembling parts with spline joints is also given.

The HVAC system is one of the major power consuming equipment in buildings. Considering the effective setpoint temperature of each zone can increase efficiency in managing power usage in buildings, leading to the operating cost reduction. This paper presents the design of supervisory control (SC) for multi-zone HVAC systems that aims to minimize the total operating cost (TOC) and the thermal comfort cost (TCC). To minimize the TOC and TCC, both objectives are normalized and combined as a quadratic programming (QP) problem which can be efficiently solved. To achieve the design objective, two methods of SC are developed for multi-zone, namely, centralized SC and decentralized SC. We apply standard QP and sparse QP solvers using interior point method. The numerical results reveal that centralized SC performs better according to a tradeoff curve which TOC and TCC are lower. While both solvers give the same results, sparse solver can provide the solutions faster than interior point method. This paper demonstrates that centralized control is appropriate for implementation in multi-zones buildings and the sparse solver proves to be more suitable in the context of sparse QP problem.
