A forest fire has long been a severe threat to the forest resources and human life. The threat could effectively be mitigated by timely and accurate detection. In this paper, we propose a novel accurate forest fire detection system using Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). In the proposed system, the detection accuracy is increased by applying the multi-criteria detection that an alarm decision depends on multiple attributes of a forest fire. The multi-criteria detection is implemented by the artificial neural network which fuses sensing data corresponding to multiple attributes of a forest fire into an alarm decision. Due to the utilization of the artificial neural network, the proposed system enjoys low overhead and the self-learning capability. Furthermore, we have developed a prototype consisting TelosB sensor nodes and carried out extensive experiments to study the performance of the proposed system. We have also developed a solar battery in order to persistently power the unattended sensor node deployed in the forest.

An aggregate signature scheme allows a public algorithm to aggregate n signatures of n distinct messages from n signers into a single signature. By validating the single resulting signature, one can be convinced that the messages have been endorsed by all the signers. Certificateless aggregate signatures allow the signers to authenticate messages without suffering from the complex certificate management in the traditional public key cryptography or the key escrow problem in identity-based cryptography. In this paper, we present a new efficient certificate less aggregate signature scheme. Compared with up-to-date certificate less aggregate signatures, our scheme is equipped with a number of attracting features: (1) it is shown to be secure under the standard computational Diffie-Hellman assumption in the random oracle model, (2) the security is proven in the strongest security model so far, (3) the signers do not need to be synchronized, and (4) its performance is comparable to the most efficient up-to-date schemes. These features are desirable in a mobile networking and computing environment where the storage/computation capacity of the end devices are limited, and due to the wireless connection and distributed feature, the computing devices are easy to be attacked and hard to be synchronized.

Storing useful information can avoid useless constraint propagation in the process of algorithm. According to that, Some improvements were made on Singleton Arc Consistency algorithm in the preprocessing step and propose a revised algorithm, denoted SAC3-Revised, which can decrease constraint propagation and time. In our experiments on random CSPs, the efficiency of our algorithm is 2 times of SAC-3 when p2 is in a certain scope and then reaches a steady behavior. Recently, the people who are under a lot of stress have increased. Too much stress may cause various physical and/or mental disorders. The final aim of our project is to develop a relaxation machine for reducing stress by using rocking vibration. As rocking vibration, motion of a mother's embracing and rocking of a baby is adopted. In this paper, we analyze the motion of the mother's embracing and rocking of a baby using a 3D motion capture system, and design and manufacture an excitation apparatus simulating the mother's motions. It is found from the experimental analysis that there are two types of the mother's motions. The both motions consist of linear motion and rotational motion. The excitation apparatus has two degrees-of freedom for linear and rotational motions.
