The paper deal with a mobile wireless connected devices and the problem of their slow wireless connection. The main area of interest is in a model of data prebuffering based system enhancement for locating and tracking users of our control system inside the buildings. The experimental framework prototype uses a WiFi network infrastructure to let a mobile device determine its indoor position. User location is used for data pre-buffering and pushing information from server to user's PDA. All server data are saved as artifacts (together) with its position information in building. The accessing of prebuffered data on mobile device can highly improve response time needed to view large multimedia data. On mobile device the SQL Server CE database is used. Mobile device operate with Windows Mobile 6.0 operation system which is real time. All operations in such mobile clients are deterministic.

The main goal of our project is to provide solution which can be used in different areas of health care and which will be available through PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant), web browsers or desktop clients. The realized system deals with an ECG sensor connected to mobile equipment, such as PDA/Embedded, based on Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. The whole system is based on the architecture of .NET Compact Framework, and Microsoft SQL Server. The project was successfully tested in real environment in cryogenic room (-136°C).

The propagation of short fatigue cracks is simulated in the microstructure of an austenitic-ferritic duplex steel by means of a mechanism-based model. Due to strong interactions with microstructural features, such as grain and phase boundaries the growth rate of these short cracks is substantially non-uniform. The strength of these barriers has been quantified by a Hall-Petch analysis and the findings have been implemented into a two-dimensional model for stage I crack propagation, which considers the orientation of available slip systems and can predict the crack growth in a real microstructure. The model allows the activation of secondary slip systems at the crack tip resulting in a crack propagation on multiple slip bands. To study the effect of a misorientation between two slip planes on crack propagation the stress field at the tip of a surface crack is calculated using a three dimensional extended crack model. Crack growth simulations carried out with the model show good agreement with experimental data.

Paper shows direct connection and implementation way of designed control schemas of prepared applications to an industrial WinPLC. Paper deals with industrial realization of feedback control of demanding applications on their control, control algorithms and visualization together with design, implementation and real time control from MATLAB/Simulink Environment. Described is a way to produce a permanent solution in control applications that are fully prepared, designed and implemented directly from MATLAB/Simulink to the target control platform. As a part, the mentioned solution is using a multiplatform control system REX as a bridge between MATLAB and target platforms. These methods allow minimizing costs of development of control of applications, because it produces target permanent realizations in comparison to classical development methods that usually need expensive real time measurement cards and produce only one purpose development solution. As next benefit the application is created for visualization the data from RT database during the measurement and control process. This last benefit produce an interesting data from real control process to give a next reason to use of WinCon solution.

The project deal with architecture design, system development and testing of software framework for data management and scheduling of personal sources in home care agencies. Development is started from analyses, over proposal, implementation to resulting testing of application, thereby try cast over whole problems software engineering. System consists of the three main parts PC application, mobile application and database server. All these parts are built on technology Microsoft .NET solutions for desktop and mobile PCs. System works offline, whereas synchronization mobile arrangement with data in database is made only in agency by the help of technology USB, Bluetooth or WiFi.
