Hypercholesterolemia is a disease caused by an increase in the concentration of cholesterol in the blood. One non-pharmacological treatment using herbal plants such as Strobilanthes crispus. This plant has flavonoid and phytosterols content that has been proven to reduce cholesterol levels in the blood. In this study, molecular docking was conducted to screen for the bioactive compounds that correspond to the interaction of the protein. Quercetin and β-sitosterol compounds are then docked using Autoodock Tools-1.5.6 to see the results of their affinity score for the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme. The affinity results obtained from quercetin, β-sitosterol and reference compounds (simvastatin) are -7.8 kcal/mol; -7.1 kcal/mol; and -6.1 kcal/mol. This shows that quercetin has the best affinity score for the inhibition of HMG-CoA reductase enzyme when compared with β-sitosterol and reference compounds.

Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) is a polymer that can be used as an alternative to fossil-based plastics. PLA is the right solution because of its biodegradability, biocompatibility, mechanical strength, and processability. PLA synthesis process is more often carried out using the Ring-Opening Polymerization (ROP) pathway since it allows to produce a high molecular weight PLA. This study used Candida rugosa lipase as a green catalyst and DMA (Dimethylacetamide) as the solvent in the ROP of L-lactide. The observations were made by varying the catalyst ratio at 2, 5, and 10% w/w. The obtained PLA was characterized using H-NMR (H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) to estimate the average number molecular weight (Mn) and monomer conversion, and GPC (Gel Permeation Chromatography) was also used to determine the number average and weight average molecular weight (Mn and Mw) of the PLA. It was found that the optimal catalyst ratio when the polymerization was performed at 80℃ for 3 days was 5%w/w.

Motor vehicle air pollution comes from exhaust gases resulting from combustion. Becak Motorcycles are widely used in Yogyakarta and are usually used motorcycles with a long life. Hydrocarbons (HC) or unburned fuel and carbon monoxide (CO), were air-fuel control. This research was studied to determine the ability of palm shell activated charcoal to reduce CO, HC and noise. The 14 meshes sample diameter placed inside the tube from 24 meshes of stainless steels were prepared.
