The dissolved organic matter in initial rainwater (RDOM), including soil-dissolved organic matter (SDOM) and water-soluble organic matter (WSOM) in the atmosphere, can potentially mediate the migration and transformation of contaminants in natural water. However, researches on its sources, characteristics, and impact of environmental factors are limited. This study aims to investigate the main sources of RDOM and its properties influenced by environmental factors (such as light exposure and temperature variation). The results revealed that RDOM was mainly composed of SDOM. Temperature (–5°C, −20°C, temperature alternating, 40°C, 50°C, 60°C) induced the variation of SDOM components, altering its fluorescence characteristics, aromatic components, and hydrophobicity. And high temperature showed a more pronounced effect on SDOM components. However, temperature fluctuations had different impacts on the SDOM-mediated photodegradation of bisphenol A (BPA). Among them, only SDOM that had undergone freeze-thaw cycles exhibited a promotive effect on the photodegradation of BPA, with the most significant effect observed at −20°C. Illumination (ultraviolet light (UV) and natural light (NL)) consumed the chromophoric groups of SDOM, disrupted its intricate electron transfer structure, and reduced the production of •OH and Triplet-state dissolved organic matter ( 3 DOM∗). So, illumination, especially UV, significantly weakened its mediating effect on the photodegradation of BPA. Based on these findings above, RDOM through temperature increase and illumination potentially leads to an inhibition of the degradation rate of organic pollutants. Conversely, RDOM may exhibit an enhanced ability following a freeze-thaw process. This study is crucial for elucidating the environmental effects of RDOM.

The problem of flooding in Central Vietnam in general and the lower Ba River in particular is one of the natural disasters that frequently threatens people's lives and socioeconomic development in the ***,climate change is becoming ever more prominent and hotter,making extreme natural disasters more unusual and *** this research,MIKE-FLOOD—a model that connects a 1-dimensional(1-D)MIKE 11 Hydrodynamics(HD)model with a 2-dimensional(2-D)MIKE 21 HD model—was used to set *** model was calculated for three floods:(1)flood in October 1993,(2)flood in November 2003,and(3)flood in November 2007;these are floods with high frequency and relatively large *** results show that the 1993 flood rose and receded *** flood peak inundated an area of 22,600 ha,accounting for 52%of the natural *** flooded areas deeper than 1,2,3,4,and 5m were 16500,11,000,7000,4200,and 2200 ha,*** the center of Tuy Hoa city,the flooded area at the time of maximum water level was almost 100%.

The society often faces a communication barrier with the deaf and mute community due to the lack of sign language translators. Hand gestures are used as a sign language to communicate between the ordinary people and the deaf people. However, the existing way to learn sign language is ineffective and inconvenient. The number of mobile translator applications for the Malaysian Sign Language on the market is less. The proposed system contains a sign detector mechanism using Support Vector Machine (SVM) to detect and interpret Malaysian Sign Language. The software used in this project were IntelliJ IDEA and Android Studio. This project's development consists of four main phases: dataset acquisition, dataset trainer, shape classification, and sign recognition. Each character is tested ten times to measure the performance of the developed system. The application is performed using an Android smartphone and successfully tested with character A to Z in a normal light condition with a maximum distance of 0.7 m. The successfully testing rate of this developed system is 90%. This application allows people to easily communicate with the deaf community because it is user-friendly and does not require an internet connection. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This is the first report of sterile Thai silk fibroin (SF) solution (2-4% (w/v) in water) production at semi-commercial scale under the medical device management system conforming to standard ISO13485:2016. Thai silk cocoons (Bombyx mori, local strain, named Nangnoi Srisaket 1) was maintained, cultured and produced in controlled conditions at The Queen Sirikit Sericulture Center Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The GMP (Medical Device) conformed protocol was optimized. The degummed silk fibers were dissolved in concentrated ionic liquid and purified in the clean room facility of the Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. With minimal sterilization of the end product (4%w/w SF Solution), sterility and endotoxin test of the product indicated that the purified proteins were negative for bacteria, mycobacteria, yeast and fungi. The potential for future energy crises is a problem the world is currently facing. Many countries are switching from fossil to renewable energy to prevent an energy crisis. One of the most developed renewable energy today is solar energy. Easy installation makes solar energy installation not only on a large scale but also on a home scale. Urban areas will be very suitable for building solar photovoltaic (PV) roofs due to minimal open areas. In installing rooftop solar PV, sound planning is needed to predict the energy potential that can be provided by solar energy on the rooftop of a building. Spatial modeling can be done to determine the energy potential and suitable location for rooftop solar PV installation. In building rooftop solar PV modeling, the level of detail of the building will affect the results of the model. The rooftop's shape and the building's height will affect the amount of solar radiation going into the building. However, the higher the level of detail of the building, the higher the cost and processing time will be. This study will review the differences in modeling the potential of rooftop solar PV using different levels of detail. This research will integrate solar radiation data from remote sensing to determine the energy potential of solar radiation and digital surface model data from photogrammetry to create a level of detail for buildings. Integration of solar radiation data and the level of detail of the building will use hillshade analysis. Hillshade analysis can review the shadow effect on the rooftop of a building which will be directly related to the potential of solar energy on the rooftop of the building. This study determines the energy potential on the rooftop of the building with different levels of detail, namely 0, 1, and actual shape, to determine the difference in energy potential in the three scenarios. There are so many areas in Indonesia that are prone to landslides. Bogor is the regency with the most frequent landslides. Therefore, high community preparedness is needed to deal with the landslide, especially at the household level because it is the spearhead of preparedness and influence disaster risk. The objective of this research is to measure and analyze the level of household preparedness for facing landslide. The location of this research is in Cibadak Village, Bogor regency where a landslide disaster had happened. This is a quantitative research. The number of the samples were 100 household. Data collection was done by surveying samples and distributing questionnaires. The data would be analyzed with descriptive analysis, and the results of level of household preparedness would be categorized to five levels which were very prepared (80-100), prepared (65-79), almost prepared (55-64), less prepared (40-54), and not prepared (0-39). The results of the research are the average index value of Knowledge and Attitude (KA) parameter is 66.77, Emergency Planning (EP) parameter is 52.24, Warning System (WS) parameter is 64.80, Resources Mobilization Capacity (RMC) parameter is 51.25 and the level of household preparedness for facing landslide is 59.26 or and it is significant at the almost prepared level. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

أهداف البحث يُمكن أن يُسرّع التعرض للأشعة فوق البنفسجية شيخوخة الجلد. ولاستخدام المواد الكيميائية المُضادة للشيخوخة آثار جانبية طويلة المدى. ومن المعروف أن المكونات الطبيعية لفاكهة الثعبان (سالاكا زالاكا) تتميز بخصائص حيوية نشطة، مثل البوليفينولات والفلافونويدات وحمض الكلوروجينيك وحمض الكافيين، والتي تُعدّ مُضادة للشيخوخة. طرق البحث تهدف الدراسة إلى تحديد قدرة مستخلص فاكهة الثعبان كمضاد للشيخوخة من خلال اختبار مُختبري. وقد حُلِّل محتوى المستخلص بواسطة الاستشراب السائل مع قياس الطيف الكتلي الترددي. وأُجري اختبار قابلية المستخلص للبقاء على خلايا الأرومة الليفية الجلدية البشرية باستخدام اختبار WST. وقد استُحثت خلايا الأرومة الليفية بالأشعة فوق البنفسجية كنموذج خلوي للشيخوخة المُبكرة. وأُعطيت 3 جرعات من مستخلص فاكهة الثعبان (6.25 و12.5 و25 ميكروغرام/مل) لخلايا الأرومة الليفية المُحرضة بالأشعة فوق البنفسجية. تم تحليل التعبير الجيني لجينات COL1A1 وMMP-1 وFGF-2 وGPX-1 باستخدام تفاعل البوليميراز المتسلسل الكمي في الوقت الحقيقي. وتم تحليل مستويات بروتينات الإيلاستين، والهيالورونيداز، وسيكلوكسيجيناز-2، و8-هيدروكسي ديوكسي غوانوزين، والميلاتونين باستخدام اختبار إليزا. وتم تحليل موت الخلايا المبرمج لخلايا الأرومة الليفية باستخدام قياس التدفق الخلوي. واستُخدم تحليل التباين أحادي الاتجاه للتحليل الإحصائي. النتائج أدى العلاج بـمستخلص فاكهة الثعبان إلى زيادة التعبير الجيني لجينات COL1A1 وFGF-2 وGPX-1، وانخفاض التعبير الجيني لجين MMP-1. كما زاد المستخلص من مستويات الإيلاستين والميلاتونين في خلايا الأرومة الليفية المُستحثة بالأشعة فوق البنفسجية. وبعد العلاج بـمستخلص فاكهة الثعبان، انخفضت مستويات بروتينات الهيالورونيداز وسيكلوكسيجيناز-2 و8-هيدروكسي ديوكسي غوانوزين مقارنةً بمجموعة التحكم الإيجابية. نجح مستخلص فاكهة الثعبان أيضًا في الحفاظ على حياة خلايا الأرومة الليفية وتقليل موت الخلايا المبرمج فيها. الاستنتاجات يمتلك مستخلص فاكهة الثعبان القدرة على أن يكون عاملًا مضادًا للشيخوخة من خلال اختباره في المختبر.

This paper presents a systematic literature review on cloud computing migration strategies specifically tailored for the music industry. The review aims to identify existing research, frameworks, and best practices related to cloud migration in the music industry, as well as highlight the challenges and opportunities associated with such migrations. Through an analysis of relevant literature, this study provides valuable insights to assist music industry stakeholders in developing effective cloud migration strategies.

Management of patient data at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Community Health Center (UPT. Puskesmas) of Rhee Sumbawa District has not been fully computerized. The need for the development of an Information System to store medical records (history) of patient data. The research aims to develop information systems with descriptive research methods. For software development methods using Waterfall Models and built with Microsoft Visual Studio C# software and databases stored in Microsoft SQL Server software. Software testing uses Black Box Testing, which is testing software in functional terms. The results of research into digital data technology products that function to enter, change, delete data and minimize the time to find the data needed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of data management. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In Indonesia, motorcycle is the most popular form of transportation because of their convenience and economical. Motorcycles dominate more than 85% of vehicles on the road. Ironically, the number of motorcycle-related accidents rise and now account for about 73% of all traffic accidents. Aim of this research is to understand motorcyclist behavior, other road user, and related traffic conditions. The Naturalistic Driving study (NDS) method is used to gather data. A camera was mounted to participant’s motorcycle to capture their driving behaviors and traffic condition. The participants of this study were drawn from 6 cities across 3 major islands in Indonesia. There were 79 participants with a total journey distance approximately 1036 km and a journey duration nearly 40 hours. The video recordings were then observed by observers in each city to determine the safety critical events (SCE). There was no significant difference in the number of SCEs that occur in each city, but there was a significant difference when it comes to the causes of SCEs. This research found that the largest number of violations (30-80%) occur due to factors related to other road user, such as near crash with other road users when overtaking vehicles in front of them, other road users from the opposite direction driving in the wrong lane/side or lane used by the driver, or near crash with other road users who suddenly change lanes in front of them. In this research, it was also found that the number of SCEs that occurred was not affected by the distance and driving duration. This study supports previous research that the main cause of violations is human error. However, the occurrence of SCE is not only caused by the driver himself but through this research it is found that other road users are a critical factor. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
