Controlled C-N configurations,i.e.,pyrrolic-N,pyridinic-N,and graphitic-N,are promising strategies to tailor the carbon dots’(CDs)optical properties into the first near infrared(NIR)window(650-900 nm),a responsive range for biomedical ***,a deep understanding of the role of the C-N configuration in the CDs’properties is still challenging and thoughtprovoking owing to their complex ***,an underlying pyrrolic-N concentration and position effect on the pyrrolic-N-rich CDs’absorption was comprehensively elucidated based on the integrated experimental and computational *** assynthesized pyrrolic-N-rich CDs exhibit a first NIR window absorption centered at 650 nm with high photothermal ***-N concentrations from 1.4%to 11.3%and positions(edge and mid-site)were systematically investigated.A mid-site pyrrolic-N was subsequently generated after the pyrrolic-N concentration more than 10%.Edge-site pyrrolic-N induces a frontier orbital hybridization,reducing bandgap energy,while mid-site pyrrolic-N plays a critical role in inducing a first NIR window absorption owing to their high charge ***,pyrrolic-N-rich CDs inherit a bowl-like topological feature,elevating the CDs’layer thickness as much as 0.71 *** study shed light on the design and optimization of pyrrolic-N on CDs for the first NIR window responsive materials in any biomedical application.

This study examines how a community in Yogyakarta, Indonesia reacts to the closing of local landfills. It identifies different groups within the community, such as those primarily concerned with health and aesthetics, those exhibiting proactive behaviors, and those acutely aware of the broader impacts. These groups show varying responses to the closures, from adjusting personal habits to calling for policy changes. The findings suggest a need for policies that are flexible and considerate of the community's diverse priorities and behaviors. In conclusion, landfill closures have complex effects on communities that require a thoughtful analysis. The study shows that personal choices and proactive behaviors are crucial in encouraging community involvement in waste management. However, there's a hesitancy to pay more for such services, indicating a gap in community responsibility and environmental stewardship. The research advocates for sustainable waste management solutions that are aligned with the community's values and behaviors, urging policymakers to design inclusive and sustainable systems for waste management that support the long-term well-being of both the community and the environment. © 2024

This study aims to investigate the use of artificial intelligence in health education in the last ten years from 2012 to 2022 using the Scopus database. Researchers use bibliometric analysis combined with the quantification method of Vosviewer and Rstudio software used for literature analysis. The results of the article that were flushed showed data such as the year of publication, journal, country, keywords, and authors, to the highest number of citations. The general keywords used by researchers are artificial intelligence, medical, and education. Researchers limit findings through keywords as in the last ten years and English only so that 1681 articles were obtained. According to the study's findings, McGill University affiliation had the greatest number of papers, with 69 pieces, and medicine had a proportion of 39.7% (n = 1067). This bibliometric study will be useful for other researchers to examine the development of research on artificial intelligence in health education in the last ten years. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This study delves into the Bromo magnitude of the fire incident in Indonesia, a notable tourism destination, uncovering significant gaps in knowledge regarding tourist-induced forest fires. We comprehensively analyze the incident's environmental, economic, social, and tourism impacts. Environmentally, the fire caused severe damage to the region's ecosystems, upsetting ecological balances and diminishing air quality. This has far-reaching effects on flora, fauna, and the sustainability of natural resources. Forest fires release a significant amount of pollutants into the air, including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, particulate matter, and other harmful compounds. These pollutants can significantly degrade air quality, leading to health issues for humans and animals. The forest fire in the Bromo region of Indonesia had a profound impact, both economically and environmentally. The closure of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park drastically reduced tourism, leading to an 80 % drop in hotel occupancy and severe losses for local businesses like jeep rentals, eateries, and souvenir shops. Economically, this resulted in a significant decrease in Non-Tax State Revenue. Environmentally, the fire destroyed over 50 hectares of land, severely damaging the national park's ecosystems and affecting biodiversity. The smoke and heat from the fire also led to poor air quality and potential health risks for local residents, as well as adverse effects on nearby agriculture, increasing stress and anxiety in the community. The study emphasizes the urgent need for stringent regulations, effective community engagement, and educational initiatives in forest conservation areas, particularly those attracting tourists. Our findings offer critical insights for policymakers, local authorities, and stakeholders in the tourism sector, highlighting the necessity of balancing environmental protection with the growth of the global travel industry. © 2024 The Author(s)

The purpose of this study is to reveal the condition of teachers' digital literacy and the effect of the achievement motivation towards digital literacy among Tourism vocational teachers in Yogyakarta based on age generation, i.e the generation differences of Baby Boomers, X and Y. This research belongs to ex-post-facto with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 130 teachers consisting of teachers from state tourism vocational schools in Yogyakarta. The results showed that the majority of digital literacy among tourism vocational teachers can be categorized as medium and the variable of achievement motivation plays a significant influence on digital literacy. Moreover, there was a significant influence from the facilities that were used by the teachers towards their digital literacy. Also, there were differences in teachers' digital literacy among teachers who were born in the baby boomers generation, X and Y generation. It means that the variable age generation of teachers can improve the digital literacy skills of vocational school teachers in the field of tourism. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations provide a comprehensive framework for a brighter tomorrow, encompassing crucial aspects such as renewable energy, clean water and sanitation, and responsible consumption. However, accomplishing these goals requires dedicated efforts over an extended period. An innovative and effective solution to waste management and energy issues is the emergence of waste biorefineries. These advanced systems not only provide sustainable waste management and energy solutions, but they also have the potential to reduce poverty and hunger while supporting global economic growth *** our world faces critical environmental concerns, such as climate change and serious health issues, a major shift in our production and consumption paradigms seems inevitable. One solution to achieve that would be extending waste-oriented biorefineries, converting waste into energy, power, and useful products in a circular economy context. In light of the above, this Research Topic focuses on the role of waste biorefineries in meeting the SDGs, where respected scientists share their insights on waste biorefineries' status, advancements, and prospects. Yttrium(Y)and cerium(Ce)co-doped ZnO nanoparticles(NPs)were synthesized via the simple sol-gel auto-combustion *** effect of Ce and Y doping on the structure,morphology,optical,Zeta potential,and photocatalytic activities of ZnO NPs was examined by Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectrometer,X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscope(TEM),UV-vis spectrophotometer,and Zetasizer *** data show that the fabricated samples crystallize into a hexagonal wurtzite *** dopants Y and Ce affect the crystal structure of ZnO *** crystallite size is reduced with the co-doping *** results confirm the nano-sized particles of the prepared *** increase in optical bandgap values from 3.19 eV for x=0.0 to 3.22,3.24,and 3.25 eV for x=0.01,0.03,and 0.05 samples was confirmed by UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis.Y and Ce co-doped ZnO nanoparticles show significant alteration of zeta potential and photocatalytic properties compared to undoped ZnO ***,undoped ZnO shows better stability in deionized water as compared to Ce-Y doped ZnO NPs and exhibits high photocatalytic activity(degradation rate,97.92%)for methyl orange(MO)degradation.

Vibration analysis is very important in predictive maintenance in the industry today. In this paper, has designed a vibration detection system that can identify the condition of the induction motor by online. Induction motor vibration data is read from two vibration sensors, accelerometer1 and accelerometer2, displayed using ATMEGA16 microcontroller and can directly identify the condition of the induction motor by using artificial intelligence-based analysis that is Backpropagation-Neural Network (B-NN). After testing, the system managed to perform fault identification induction motor with the rank of success of 95 percent. © 2020 IEEE.

This work is intended to compare the SEVNB and the SCF methods for fracture toughness testing. Both of the test methods are applied to a silicon nitride. Both methods are standardized and both have some minor shortcomings with respect to practicability and match of the theoretical description of the test situation with the actual test situation. SEVNB is easy to perform, but uses a notch of known depth (+ small micro-cracks of unknown size in front of a notch) instead of a crack, SCF uses a presumably residual stress-free indentation crack which is sometimes difficult to measure, not always semi-elliptical, as assumed to apply the evaluation formula, and may be accompanied by lateral cracks. Both methods will be analysed with respect to possible experimental errors. Variations of the SCF method are applied in order to examine how pre-cracks can be introduced which can be detected on the fracture surface. The geometry of the SCF-pre-crack is varied by applying different loads and by removing different amounts of material. The geometry of the Knoop pre-cracks system is investigated. The results help to identify conditions under which the SCF method can be used successfully to measure the fracture toughness of silicon nitride ceramics. © 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing. Solanesol (C₄₅H₇₄O) is an aliphatic terpene alcohol of nine isoprene units found in the tobacco plant (Nicotiana Tabacum L.). The long and complex biosynthetic pathway of solanesol makes the extraction method still the best way to obtain solanesol. This work evaluates the optimum conditions for sequential extraction from tobacco leaves using microwave-ultrasound-assisted extraction (MUAE) as a green extraction method. There were two stages of extraction (sequential): first, microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), followed by ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE). At the MAE stage, dry tobacco powder was extracted with variations of water-to-solid (feed) ratio (S/F) from 1:1 to 10:1 (mL/g), power from 200 to 800 W, and time from 0.5 to 2 min. Optimum conditions were obtained at 6:1 (mL/g), 400 W, and 1.5 min, respectively. The UAE stage was fixed with the solvent-to-solid (feed) ratio (S/F), solvent ratio (v/v), time, and temperature of 40:1, 1:2 (PE:ethanolic acid), 30 min, and 40 °C, respectively. The optimum solanesol yield was 3.0 % (w/w), and a nicotine yield of 1.41 % (%w/w) was obtained under the same conditions. The resulting crude solanesol was then purified using silica gel column chromatography (CC), resulting in a purity of 85 %. The yield of extracted solanesol is much higher than in other studies due to the use of fresh leaves and MUAE method. © 2023
