Pyrolysis technology holds great potential for sustainable sewage sludge treatment due to its ability to recover energy, tackle the environmental challenges, and convert by-products into valuable resources. However, a comprehensive understanding of its research progression, sustainability implications, and policy relevance remains limited. This study offers a comprehensive analysis of sewage sludge (SS) pyrolysis research, integrating sustainability through life cycle assessment (LCA) and circular economy principles. Using Scopus and VOSviewer, it highlights significant growth in research, with publications rising in this decade, reflecting increasing global interest driven by environmental and technological imperatives. China dominates the field with 693 publications and extensive international collaborations, followed by the United States and Australia. Key journals play pivotal roles in disseminating findings, while interdisciplinary contributions span environmental science, energy, and chemical engineering. Keyword analysis reveals emerging trends such as circular economy, LCA, and carbon sequestration highlighting a growing focus on sustainable practices. LCA studies show that advanced pyrolysis technologies reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and align with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Circular economy analyses underscore the economic viability of co-pyrolysis, alongside substantial energy recovery and bio-oil market potential. Additionally, this study explores the key technological challenges and mitigation strategies crucial for optimizing SS pyrolysis systems and advancing future research. These findings underscore the adaptability of SS pyrolysis for waste valorization and its role in addressing environmental challenges. This analysis provides valuable insights for advancing research, informing policy, and optimizing industrial practices, highlighting SS pyrolysis as a critical technology for sustainable waste management and resource recovery

This study designed an effective system for monitoring stress levels based on Electrodermal Activity (EDA) sensors by knowing the signal patterns and characteristics using convex optimization decomposition. The EDA sensor considered accurate and sensitive for identifying stress by analyzing the skin conductivity (SC) due to the changes in sympathetic nerve activity. However, the SC signal consists of phasic and tonic components, which needed to decompose to analyze stress levels. The SC signals also followed by the white Gaussian noise, which represents the error value. Hence, deconvolution is a crucial stage for the further process because the quality of the measurement depends on this result. This study aims to deconvolve the SC signal using the convex optimization method (cvxEDA). This model is physiology inspired by EDA based on Bayesian statistics, convex mathematical optimization, and sparsity. This research conducted with 18 subjects through three sessions of measurement. The given stimuli arise in each session to increase the level of stress. The results showed that this method could separate and identify SC. The Phasic component shows an increase in the stimulus of each session, as seen from the number of peaks. In contrast, there were no significant differences in the tonic component. This study shows that the phasic component is closely related to changes in sudomotor nerve activity (SMNA) and response to a stressor, which could be useful to classify stress levels in the future study. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Lignocellulosic agricultural wastes, such as banana trunks, are known to have the potential to be converted into bioethanol. This study aimed to investigate the potassium hydroxide microwave-assisted pretreatment (PhMa) of the banana trunk (Musa paradisiaca) and Simultaneous Saccharification Fermentation (SSF) to produce bioethanol. The study procedures were performed with varying temperatures (55–95 °C) and durations (10–50 min). PhMa was conducted with microwave irradiation at 360 Hz. The SSF process was carried out at 30–40 °C for 4–96 h. The lowest lignin content was approximately 6.84 % at 95 °C for 50 min. The highest bioethanol yield was at 5 % (v/v) during 72 h of fermentation at 30 and 40 °C. PhMa pretreatment method enabled the determination of kinetic parameters by fitting a model to various experimental data. A first-order reaction kinetic was used to calculate the activation energy. The findings indicated the activation energy 19.67 kJ mol⁻¹. © 2025 The Authors

The Plasmodium parasite, which causes malaria, is an acute fever illness that infects people when a female Anopheles mosquito bites them. It is predicted that malaria would claim 619,000 lives in 2021, with 96% of those deaths occurring in the African continent. We can achieve this by using a microscope to examine thick and thin blood smears. The proficiency of a microscope examiner is crucial for doing microscopic examinations. Consider how time-consuming, ineffective, and costly it would be to examine thousands of malaria cases. Consequently, Creating an automated method for detecting malaria parasites is the aim of this study. We employ a MobileNetV2 pretrained model with CNN technology. Because it has been trained on dozens or even millions of data points, this pretrained model is incredibly light but dependable. There are two main benefits of automatic malaria parasite detection: firstly, it can offer a more accurate diagnosis, particularly in locations with limited resources; secondly, it lowers diagnostic expenses. The optimizer utilizes Adam Weight, the criteria uses NLLLoss, and the model is trained using 32 for batch_size. In the fourteenth epoch, we obtained the maximum accuracy score of 96.26% based on the training data. The outcomes of the predictions demonstrate how excellent this score is. EfficienceNet, DenseNet, AlexNet, and other pretrained models are among the alternatives that scientists are advised to try training with.

The removal of 3-monochloropropane-1,2-diol esters (3-MCPDEs) from edible oils or food products is essential for better quality food consumption due to its detrimental effects on human health. Herein, we present a simple strategy for the in situ growth of ternary metal-organic framework (Fe-Mn-MOF/N4) with nanocellulose (NC) extracted from almond shells using sulfuric acid (ASS) and sugar-based deep eutectic solvent (DES 1) as a support for 3-MCPD adsorption in spiked extra virgin olive oil (EVO) (1.5 mg/kg 3-MCPDE). The prepared Fe-Mn-MOF/N4 showed excellent removal of 3-MCPD up to 76% at an optimal adsorption (6 h, 40 C, 60 mg dose of Fe-Mn-MOF/N4, 1 g of NC-ASS and 200 µL of DES 1) conditions via an indirect method. The quality of EVO after 3-MCPD adsorption using Fe-Mn-MOF/N4 was within the acceptable limits. The Fe-Mn-MOF/N4 can be reused up to five times with an adsorption efficiency of up to 48.3% without affecting the EVO performance and quality beyond acceptable levels. This work provides a novel method for the synthesis of regenerable and high performance adsorption materials such as Fe-Mn-MOF/N4 for the removal of 3-MCPDEs in edible oils, which has significant implications for improving the quality and safety of food products © 2023, The Authors. Because of the harsh environmental impacts of fossil fuels, price fluctuation, and resource limitation, renewable energy resources (RERs) are considered the ultimate solution to overcome these challenges. RERs are also abundant and environmentally friendly. It has been reported that the growth rates in renewable energy installations have increased by 8–9% annually since 2010, reaching a cumulative capacity of 2.9 TW by 2020 and exceeding the growth rate for fossil resources. In this work, the different RERs have been critically discussed in terms of their operation principles, advantages, disadvantages, and associated environmental impacts, focusing on wind and solar energies as the most deployed RERs. Barriers to the full deployment of RERs to replace fossil resources are discussed. Based on the discussion presented on RERs, the contribution of deploying RERs towards the achievement of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is also critically discussed. A total of 80 indicators have been identified for RERs' contribution toward the achievement of SDGs. © 2023 The Author(s)

Using MD5 hashing of passwords in web logins is highly vulnerable to dictionary attacks. One online application for cracking hashed passwords using a dictionary attack that is free and easy to use is ***. Even so, the use of hashing passwords using MD5 which has a low level of security is still commonly found to secure web login passwords. This research presents an increase in security through a combination of salt hash passwords when using MD5. The methodology of this study uses a quantitative experimental method to apply hash salt passwords using the MD5 combination. The password cracking test was carried out using the *** online hash cracking application on weak passwords such as “admin” with the addition of a password hash salt using the MD5 combination. The results showed that Salt Password using the MD5 combination could not be cracked by *** using a dictionary attack.

In DFT calculation, a basis set is an important factor in determining the quality of results, especially for hyperfine interaction where changes in the local geometry and electronic structure can have a big impact. The use of extensive basis sets is always desirable and is expected to produce better results. However, for DNA molecules of more than 10 base-pairs, all-electron geometry optimization calculation using large basis sets such as 6-311++G(d,p) is prohibitively difficult even on a supercomputer. An alternative is to use smaller basis sets such as 6-31G which is used in this work. Thus, the objective of the work reported here is to determine whether 6-31G basis set is suitable to be used to study muon hyperfine interaction in short DNA molecule. It is found that in comparison with 6-311++G(d,p), 6-31G does not change the ranking of muon sites stability in isolated adenine and thymine. Furthermore, the 6-31G calculated muon HFCCs are slightly closer to the experimental values. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Motion planning for many unmanned aircraft is challenging because they have a larger configuration space than self-driving automobile development (Automated guided vehicles). Additionally, there are more significant uncertainties and disruptions in UAV environments, which makes inter automatic navigation more difficult. In this letter, I proposed a 2 recurrent neural networks (RL) oriented multi-UAV collision avoidance technique by modeling the unpredictability or noise in the environment. Our objective is to create a strategy that can construct a path without clashing with anything using local noisy data. But unlike supervised algorithms, RL lacks a steady training data set with floor labels, thus its collision avoidance strategies often show significant fluctuation and are difficult to reproduce. To solve these issues, we created a two-stage training method for RL-based collision avoidance. We first optimize the policy, and then we utilize a supervised learning methodology with a loss function that encourages the agents to adopt the well-known reciprocity obstacle detection mechanism. In the second step, we use transmission to fine-tune the policy. The complete computer simulation findings demonstrate that this approach can handle noisy local views with erratic sound levels and can design moment & accident paths under inadequate sensing. We review the impact of our policies in a variety of ways. © 2022 IEEE.

This research was carried out to produce fuel (Oil Liquid Poduct/OLP) from catalytic cracking of a mixture of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and fiber waste from palm oil. USY zeolite was previously ion-exchanged by three levels of Ni-metal concentration (1%, 2%, 3%) before used as catalyst in the cacking process. The catalytic cracking was carried out at rasio of sample to catalyst was 6:1, three levels of temperature (400°C, 425°C and 450°C) and three levels of reaction time (10, 20 and 30 minutes).The SEM images and EDX spectra of Ni-USY zeolite catalysts showed that all catalysts were in crystalline form of FAU framework. The highest of OLP percentage, 24.5%, was produced by catalytic cracking at 450°C for 10 minutes using Ni-USY prepared by ion-exchange using 2% concentration of Nickel Nitrate solution. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
