Technological developments also affect the development of science. Universities, as one of the media that play an important role in science and discoveries, are also growing rapidly. The varied majors encourage students to be more selective in choosing them. This study examines the formation of cognitive dissonance in The Higher Education program in Undergraduate program students at the Higher Education program (HEP) Indonesia. The dimensions involved of cognitive dissonance were including emotional, wisdom of purchase, and concern over the deal. The emotional dimension is measured by 15-question indicators, the wisdom of purchase dimension is measured by 44-question indicators, and concern over the deal is measured by 3-question indicators. The research sample used 111 students of the 2017 and 2018 batches or third and fourth-year students of the HEP in Undergraduate Level. The analytical technique applied in this study uses factor analysis. The results of cognitive dissonance analysis using factor analysis on emotional variables showed that students were not upset to choose the intended undergraduate level of HEP in Indonesia, on the wisdom of purchase variable, it shows that students felt the need to choose the HEP in Undergraduate program. The concern over the deal variable showed that students did not feel confused in choosing the HEP in the Undergraduate Level.

This is the first report of sterile Thai silk fibroin (SF) solution (2-4% (w/v) in water) production at semi-commercial scale under the medical device management system conforming to standard ISO13485:2016. Thai silk cocoons (Bombyx mori, local strain, named Nangnoi Srisaket 1) was maintained, cultured and produced in controlled conditions at The Queen Sirikit Sericulture Center Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The GMP (Medical Device) conformed protocol was optimized. The degummed silk fibers were dissolved in concentrated ionic liquid and purified in the clean room facility of the Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. With minimal sterilization of the end product (4%w/w SF Solution), sterility and endotoxin test of the product indicated that the purified proteins were negative for bacteria, mycobacteria, yeast and fungi. The endotoxin levels of all inputs, intermediates and the product was <0.1 EU/ml conforming to the USP standard (for water for injection at the endotoxin level limits <0.25 EU/ml). This indicated that the Thai SF solution can be used for medical and health applications.

This study aimed to develop a child supervision tool with a sound system to help parents quickly detect and locate danger to their children. The tool utilizes a Push Button or a microphone that, when activated by the child saying "Danger," sends the GPS coordinates to a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller that sends location signals and notifications to the parent’s smartphone. The buzzer on the device also activates to alert the parent of danger. The study found that Voice Recognition as a sender of Blynk notifications and activating the buzzer function properly, and the GPS U-Blox Neo 6m accurately captured locations with an accuracy rate above 99%, with a sensor reading error rate below 0.1%. The implication is that this tool can help parents supervise their children and prevent them from becoming victims of kidnapping.

Melaleuca Cajaputi (Kayu Galam) is a type of tree that grows very fertile in swampy areas. This wood is commonly used in natural conditions (barked) in construction work. Meanwhile, other woods are generally used in a processed condition (without bark). For this reason, this paper compared galam wood with bark and without bark. This research was conducted by testing the physical characteristics and compressive strength in the laboratory. The compressive strength samples consisted of natural conditions (irregular round shape) with variations in length of 10 cm, 15 cm and 30 cm. Furthermore, each variation is made into a barked and peeled bark. All samples amounted to 126 units. The results of specific gravity and water content were not significantly different between barked and without bark. The water absorption in the shelled galam was 49.25% greater than that without the bark. Furthermore, the effect of the galam bark layer reduces the average strength by 24.92% and undergoes compression and shear failure. The failure of the test object with a ratio of length to diameter greater than 5 is indicated to have a buckling effect.

Electric Vehicles (EVs) has important role in the successful of energy transition and reducing dependency from fossil fuels. Indonesia has started to develop EVs. One of the challenges is charging infrastructure development, includes business model and pricing scheme to achieve business feasibility. This study analyses business model and pricing mechanism for public charging station in Indonesia where a case study is conducted in Jabodetabek area. Monte-Carlo method is used to estimate charging demand based on current travel data and estimated EVs population in 2025. Cash flow method is used to calculate feasible price for public charging with Fixed and ToU price schemes. EVs home charging cost is also calculated to investigate competitiveness of public charging price for each business model. The results show that prices of public charging business model are competitive compared to cost of home charging. The proposed ToU price scheme for public charging is more competitive compared to fixed price scheme, and also effective to minimize grid load escalation of home charging during busy periods. Furthermore, daily cost of EV charging is calculated and compared to fuel cost of ICE vehicles. The result shows that EV charging cost is lower than fuel cost of ICE vehicles.

The VBee application is a web-based application that facilitates the expression of user creativity and fosters a deeper appreciation for the art of writing. The application boasts a highly intuitive interface that effortlessly enables users to document their thoughts and experiences. It offers a plethora of features that not only facilitate writing but also foster self-expression, including customizable emoticons and the option to provide feedback. This work presents a palm-sized, cost-effective biosensing device that integrates an enzymatic paper biosensor with an Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled smartphone alert system for fluid-based alcohol detection. The device consists of a paper-based sensing platform, a potentiostat-free data acquisition system using commercially available electronic modules, and an IoT-based wireless alert that notifies the user via smartphone when their blood alcohol concentration (BAC) exceeds the legal limit. The biosensor utilizes alcohol oxidase (AOx) as the catalytic enzyme, immobilized on filter paper and stabilized by bovine serum albumin (BSA). Both electrodes are fabricated from widely accessible materials: aluminum tape as the cathode and graphene–nail polish ink as the anode. Housed in a compact, 3D-printed enclosure (3 × 5 × 5 cm3), the device achieved high electron transfer efficiency with an internal resistance of 10 kΩ. It exhibited a strong linear correlation (R2 = 0.9798) across a range of 14.02–88.45 mg dl−1 (sweat-calculated BAC) and 20.70–119.14 mg dl−1 (saliva-calculated BAC), with detection limits of 7.82 mg dl−1 (sweat) and 12.51 mg dl−1 (saliva). The device demonstrates sensitivity across BAC levels from the mild impairment threshold to above the legal limit, with high alcohol specificity. It provides a portable, cost-effective solution for fluid-based alcohol monitoring in low-resource settings.
