Corona Virus Disease 2019 or known as COVID-19 disseminated Indonesia in March 2020. The presence of this virus leads to fear and worry, all work activities are carried out from home. This is also perceived by the Public Elementary School number 189 Pekanbaru (SDN 189), particularly in the subject Budaya Melayu Riau (BMR) or Riau Malay Culture. BMR is a subject on heritage that characterizes Riau Malay culture; it has material evidence objects which are the results of human cultural history, nature and the environment are notable to be preserved. The problem faced by SDN 189 is that the level of students' comprehension towards BMR subject is diminished during COVID-19. The solution offered in solving this problem is to create fun learning technology through online learning using Android-based Augmented Reality (AR). AR is a type of interactive technology combines actual and virtual objects to produce 3D objects that are real in life. Therefore, the ultimate goal of this research is to intensify the knowledge and teacher’s skills in teaching and enhance students' understanding of BMR subjects.

This research aims to find the spectrum of a park service scope from two city parks in Denpasar, a densely populated city. The city parks in study are Lapangan Puputan Badung and Lapangan Puputan Margarana as city public facilities of Denpasar - Bali that is said to improve citizen quality of life and environment as well. However, this research focuses to see how city parks in Bali serve their users. This study uses a survey research method. Sample of respondents are chosen using accidental sampling technique with questionnaire as media of data collection. Data series include, users' age, frequency of visit, activities, and domicile. Research findings are analysed spatially and descriptively as well. Result shows that most visitors are young people who spend time mostly for exercising and other recreational activities. It is also interesting to see that both city park users are regular visitors. They visit the parks at least 1 to 2 time per week and spend 1 to 2 hours in there. The parks users mostly come from densely populated areas. That shows the importance of city parks as complement to a city. However, as a city that going to smart city, ICT has not been recognized much. As conclusion, the spectrum of city parks service scope of Denpasar still ranging in traditional functions of public green open space. A city park serves a man-made nature-like place for people to get refresh within an urban landscape setting. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Biomass gasification converts into syngas through the gasification process is promising for renewable energy utilization. Although gasification is a sustainable and environmentally-friendly technology for value-added utilization of biomass, yield percentage is the major problem during biomass gasification. An optimized gasifier and highly active catalyst were proved to be effective for biomass production. Furthermore, the decomposition pathway was also important to advance the gasification reactors and catalyst design. This paper summarized the fundamentals, such as gasifier types, zeolite catalysts, and reaction and deactivation mechanisms. This review also sheds light on other excellent catalysts, effective gasifier, and catalyst reaction mechanisms are also discussed in detail. At last, the paper ends with a conclusion and a prospective discussion of the lab-scale research. At the contact time of 240 minutes, with a column height of 30 cm, at a temperature of 450 oC, the concentration of syngas promise well.

study of duck feather modification using NaOH to removal iron in acid mine drainage (AMD) has been done. The objective of this study was to determine adsorption capacity. Modification duck feather that 2 g of duck powder was dissolved in 25 mL NaOH with a concentration of 1.00;1.25;1.50;1.75;2.00;and 2.25 % (v/v), then placed on hotplate stirrer at 50°C and stirred for 24 hours. The results showed that adsorption capacity of Fe by adsorbent of duck feather modification using NaOH optimum at concentration 1.50% and adsorption capacity before and after activation were 36.231 mg/g and 68.493 mg/g and potential to be used as an adsorbent to removal of Fe in acid mine drainage at coal mining. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.

Pine resin utilization as a binding agent for densification of coconut shells and rice husks at various pressures

Coconut shells and rice husks are potential biomass sources for briquette production. The commonly used binder is an edible material which may cause conflict with food security issues. This study aims to utilize pine resin in coconut shells and rice husks char densification process at the pressures of 100 kg/cm2, 150×105 kg/cm2, and 200 kg/cm2. Prior to the densification process, raw materials were sun-dried, carbonized, grounded, and sieved to 20 mesh particle size. After mixing with the pine resin binder, the dough was pressed and sun-dried for five days. The quality of the briquettes was assessed, including calorific value, moisture, ash, volatile matter, and fixed carbon contents. The combustion characteristics were investigated by direct combustion and thermogravimetric analyses. The result indicates that the calorific value of the briquette is up to 9.352 cal/g. Water content, volatile matter, and ash content are respectively 5.4%, 19%, and 11.2%. In addition, the burning rate of the briquette is 0.0076 g/sec. These characteristics are obtained from the briquette made of the mixture of coconut shells and rice husks char at a pressure of 200 kg/cm2. It indicates the potential use of pine resin as non-edible natural resin in briquetting.

It is widely recognized that exposure to X-rays during XPS analysis can decompose different materials, resulting in mass loss and changes in chemical composition. These effects are evident in the near-edge X-ray absorption structure spectra of dicarboxylic acid powders, posing a fundamental limit to sensitivity for surface chemical analysis. Understanding the chemistry and kinetics of radiation decomposition is necessary for the accuracy and validation of XPS analysis on dicarboxylic acids. Here we evaluate the impact of X-ray exposure on characterizing chemical changes in three different dicarboxylic acids with varying aliphatic carbon chain lengths. From this investigation we propose straightforward correlations relating the tendency for radiation-induced decomposition based on the chemical structure of the acids. We employed two types of spectra, those acquired with minimal interaction (snapshot) and high-resolution spectra obtained over an extended period, to show that normal analysis conditions are likely to degrade these type of materials. © 2023, The Authors. Effects of roasting process on the precursor components for maillard reaction in fermented cocoa beans

Several essential reactions, such as Maillard and amadori degradation, occur inside cocoa beans during the roasting process. The acidity formed during fermentation decreased, and the distinctive chocolate aroma increased, indicating the quality of the raw. These reactions convert chemical groups such as amino acids and reducing sugar into flavor compounds and provide delightful taste and aroma. This study was designed to determine the effect of the roasting process on reduced sugars and amino acids; two critical groups of chemical compounds play essential roles in developing chocolate flavor and aroma. Roasting was performed using a rotating drum roaster. Reducing sugar and amino acids were analyzed using Nelson-Somogy spectrophotometry and Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) methods. The results showed that the roasting of fermented cocoa beans caused a reduction of about 0.27% in reducing sugar after 18-minute roasting; on the other hand, total amino acids content increased nearly 5.92% during roasting.

Formulation of transparent soap with pandan leaf powder (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.)

This research aims to: 1) determine the right composition in making soap from fragrant pandan leaf powder, 2) determine the special features of fragrant pandan leaf powder soap, and 3) determine the quality of soap (storage) from fragrant pandan leaf powder. The research method used is the experimental research model. making transparent soap with the addition of fragrant pandan leaf powder under SNI standards. The quality of transparent soap can be known from organoleptic and preference tests. The composition of the addition of fragrant pandan leaf powder with different concentrations of 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5% in the soap made based on the preference test for transparent soap, it is known from the respondent's test that 78% liked the smell of soap, 58% said the color of the soap was dark green, 53% said the soap was very smooth without any grains, 50% said the transparency of the soap that could see objects up to <4 cm and the power very strong soap cleanser. Respondents' impression when using soap is 87% stating the impression is moist, 86% the impression is not hot, 82% feels soft, 80% feels dry, and 67% has foam power. The impression after using soap, 85% of respondents strongly agree that it is not irritating, 84% does not cause allergies, 77% is clean, 75% is fresh, 74% is moist, smooth and the mat/non-slippery is 67% respectively. All soaps produced give homogeneous results, pH 5.5. The addition of 1.5% pandan leaf powder was shown to inhibit the growth of fungi with an inhibition zone diameter of 37 mm.

Motion planning for many unmanned aircraft is challenging because they have a larger configuration space than self-driving automobile development (Automated guided vehicles). Additionally, there are more significant uncertainties and disruptions in UAV environments, which makes inter automatic navigation more difficult. In this letter, I proposed a 2 recurrent neural networks (RL) oriented multi-UAV collision avoidance technique by modeling the unpredictability or noise in the environment. Our objective is to create a strategy that can construct a path without clashing with anything using local noisy data. But unlike supervised algorithms, RL lacks a steady training data set with floor labels, thus its collision avoidance strategies often show significant fluctuation and are difficult to reproduce. To solve these issues, we created a two-stage training method for RL-based collision avoidance. We first optimize the policy, and then we utilize a supervised learning methodology with a loss function that encourages the agents to adopt the well-known reciprocity obstacle detection mechanism. In the second step, we use transmission to fine-tune the policy. The complete computer simulation findings demonstrate that this approach can handle noisy local views with erratic sound levels and can design moment & accident paths under inadequate sensing. We review the impact of our policies in a variety of ways.

To evaluate the waste process incineration, a mass, and energy balance is employed to investigate the waste incineration process in a fixed bed. Thermodynamics equilibrium is implemented to describe the incineration process. The complete combustion is only products CO2, H2O, SO2, ash, and excess O2 considered. The mass balance calculates the total mass flow in and out incinerator. Energy balance includes input heat, evaporating heat, chemical heat, radiation, and convection. The input heat is calculated by considering the heat capacity, temperature, heating value, and total mass flow. Evaporation heat is calculated based on the water content, mass flow of each aqueous, and evaporation hot water flow. The result shows that efficiency energy of waste incinerator up to 79,33%. It means the incinerator is included in the good category. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
