Transient voltage instability and transient power angle instability are two main modes in transient stability analysis of power system, whose relationship is very comprehensive. Based on the analysis principle of Lyapunov direct method, a new index to identify the transient instability is proposed in this paper. The proposed index is established according to the extension of the network structure preserving model. In this paper, the structure preserving model of transient energy function is further extended to build the transient energy relation functions, which are not only the energy change projected into the index as a basis, but also comprehensive consideration of voltage instability and power angle instability characteristics. At the same time, this paper combines the method of trajectory analysis and refers to the change of the transient relationship functions to realize the control of the transient instability of the system. Simulation studies on the IEEE New England power system are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed recognition method of transient instability modes for transient power angle instability and transient voltage instability. © 2023 IEEE.

Manufacturing industry plays an important role in the country, and the optimization of factory facility layout design in basic manufacturing industry will affect the problem that needs to be solved urgently. The problem of facility layout optimization is not only an engineering research problem, but also more complex in practice, with high practicality. However, its interdisciplinary characteristics are also very obvious. Based on the principle of discrete system simulation, the initial model of the camshaft production line is established on the basis of determining the camshaft production process and the specific parameters of each machine tool. Secondly, according to the established model, discuss the working efficiency of each equipment, the working condition of the station, the failure efficiency of the production line and the bottleneck process, etc., run the model and analyze the results. According to the analysis of the simulation results of the model, it is gradually improved. Finally, the mass production of camshaft production line is discussed, and the initial population, individual fitness function, genetic parameters, etc. are analyzed. On this basis, genetic algorithm is used to optimize the scheduling problem, and the results are compared with the previous ones to verify whether the results are effective. © 2022 IEEE.

Increasing speed is one of the effective ways to raise high-speed train (HST) transportation capacity. However, increasing speed leads to greater vibration of HST with passive suspension, which can reduce the smoothness and safety of HST. Thus, a twin delayed deep deterministic policy gradient (TD3) control strategy was designed to reduce the lateral vibration of the HST carbody. The 3-degree-of-freedom (DOF) and 17-DOF models were utilized in designing the TD3 controller and simulation, respectively. In addition, the ballastless track spectrum of the Chinese high-speed railway was utilized to obtain the irregularities of the track. A reward function containing cost and penalty was designed to raise TD3 controller training efficiency. A linear quadratic optimal cost function and a step penalty function were designed, respectively. The control effect of the TD3 strategy was studied by simulation. The results indicate that TD3 can effectively reduce root-mean-square (RMS) and peak values for lateral acceleration at the front and rear ends of the HST carbody, and significantly improve the lateral smoothness of the HST carbody, which verifies validity of TD3 strategy. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. In the cardiac operating room, several operators are essential to assist the surgeon, including the physician managing and monitoring the artificial heart-lung machine. The custodian must interpret the patient's vital signs from equipment data and make decisions, such as blood transfusion. However, the equipment lacks automated data acquisition and recording capabilities, posing significant challenges for documenting surgical information. This paper introduces a system for screen segmentation and text recognition based on visual methods. This system allows the operating equipment doctor to wear a head-mounted camera to capture real-time video similar to the doctor's perspective, and pulls the video stream of the camera through RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol) on the PC side. We proceed by processing the video stream captured by the camera, leveraging the YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology as our primary tools to do screen segmentation and text recognition. These technologies enable us to extract the information displayed on the medical equipment screens. By initially employing YOLO for detecting and segmenting the screen of interest, the process is approximately 127% faster than direct OCR processing of the entire video frame. Additionally, the accuracy rate of OCR recognition for clear pictures can also reach more than 95% by our method. © 2024 IEEE.

The intercropping of mainstream cultivated tobacco varieties with unknown tobacco varieties significantly affects the quality and yield of tobacco. Conventional methods for identifying tobacco heavily depend on manual recognition. However, the resemblance in characteristics among different tobacco breeds restricts the differentiation between known and unknown varieties. To mitigate this challenge, the present study introduces the Cosine Feature Reconstruction Network (CFRN) for distinguishing between known and unknown tobacco breeds. The model employs a feature reconstruction selection module to extract fine-grained image features with disparities and integrates a dynamic information integration model to enhance the correlation between these features across various scales. Subsequently, the model further refines its decision boundary by integrating it with the cosine classifier. Furthermore, during the inference phase, we integrate it with a post-scoring function known as Decoupled Maximum Log Probability (DML). Experimental assessments conducted on Tobacco datasets and CUB dataset illustrate that CFRN surpasses prevailing open-set scoring methods in the majority of instances. © 2024 IEEE.

The Helium-Xenon (He-Xe) gas-cooled reactor uses a He-Xe gas mixture to remove the heat from the reactor core. It has the characteristics of a long life-cycle, simple operation, and high power-mass ratio, which has an excellent application prospect in the field of Space Reactors Power Systems. The high operation temperature distinguishes the He-Xe gas-cooled reactor from the traditional reactor in reactivity feedback characteristics. Except for the Doppler effect of the fuel and monolith, the thermal expansion also introduces reactivity feedback during reactor operation. In this work, reactivity feedback characteristics, steady-state characteristics, and transient characteristics of a hundred-kilowatt-level He-Xe gas-cooled reactor (Submersion-Subcritical Safe Space reactor, S4) were analyzed. The Doppler feedback characteristics and thermal expansion feedback coefficients of fuel, matrix, and reflector from the cold to the hot state of the S4 reactor core were calculated based on the reactor Monte Carlo code (RMC). The results show that the S4 reactor core is mainly affected by the fuel Doppler effect and the matrix thermal expansion effect. Furthermore, the temperature distributions of fuel and He-Xe gas of the S4 reactor were calculated using the He-Xe reactor transient analysis code (HXRTRAN). The transient characteristics of the S4 reactor core when different reactivity was introduced were analyzed. This study may provide a reference for the operation state of the He-Xe gas-cooled reactor. © 2023 by JSME.

In order to estimate the unmeasurable velocities of dynamic positioning system of vessels quickly and consider reducing energy consumption, modelling errors and the ocean unknown disturbances, this paper proposes an optimal adaptive anti-disturbance constrains control scheme via finite-time velocity observer. Firstly, a fuzzy logic system is utilized to approximate modeling errors, and the finite-time velocity observer is established to obtain velocities quickly. Then, a disturbance observer is used to estimate the unknown disturbances. An auxiliary system is designed to compensate the effects of constrains. Based on the obtained velocities and disturbances information, the whole controller is composed of the adaptive anti-disturbance controller and the optimal compensation term designed by adaptive dynamic programming. It can be proved that all the signals in the closed-loop system are bounded. At Last, the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed optimal control scheme. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, a novel mixed fractional-order model reference adaptive control (FOMRAC) strategy is investigated for fractional-order (FO) plants with state inaccessible, aiming to alleviate the computational burden present in the classical mixed FOMRAC approach. In particular, the proposed FOMRAC strategy only requires online adjustment of a scalar function, thus reducing the adaptive complexity of the system. Furthermore, our strategy ensures the boundedness of the closed-loop signals and the convergence of the output error. © 2023 IEEE.

Image segmentation is a crucial task in computer vision that involves dividing an image into distinct regions, with each region containing pixels that share similar attributes. Traditional methods like Otsu, Sobel, and Canny often suffer from high computational complexity and sensitivity to parameters. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a lightweight image segmentation algorithm that integrates MobileNetv3-Small with a global context block attention mechanism. MobileNetv3 leverages depthwise separable convolutions and optimized architecture to significantly reduce computational load and parameter count. To further improve segmentation accuracy, a deformable convolutional network is employed during feature extraction, while the global context block attention mechanism enhances focus on target regions. The proposed algorithm not only improves segmentation performance but also offers a lightweight solution suitable for resource-constrained environments. © 2025 SPIE.

To increase the vehicle's lateral stability when driving straight ahead and to ensure driving safety, a data-driven optimal controller design for vehicle dynamic system is presented in this work. To begin with, the two-degree-of-freedom dynamics model is used by vehicle dynamics model, which is stated in second-order nonlinear form. Then, the proposed algorithm is applied with unknown model information and structure to find the optimal controller utilizing both recorded and current data of the system. In order to carry out this algorithm, a neural network (NN) is built as a model network to recognize the unidentified system. By using adaptive dynamic programming (ADP), the system can preserve the desired heading angle, coordinate of direction, lateral velocity and yaw rate while simultaneously ensuring that the closed-loop system's signals are all uniform ultimately bounded. Finally, the simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed controller design method. © 2023 IEEE.
