With the continuous development of China's economy and the acceleration of urbanization, the load level of urban power grid is increasing and the peaking pressure is growing year by year. Grid-side energy storage using battery storage technology has the characteristics of fast response, high flexibility and low loss. Based on this, this paper proposes a grid-side energy storage planning considering the urban power grid peaking demand. The method first constructs a multidimensional evaluation system of urban power grid load level according to the evaluation index of urban power grid load level to realize the perception of urban power grid peaking demand, and then establishes the grid-side energy storage planning model and distribution network revenue model, respectively. Finally, simulations are performed in a modified IEEE 14 node system to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

A single-stage multiport inverter (SSMPI)-fed motor drive, which connects dc-side energy sources to the ac motor without the application of any dc/dc power converters, offers a lightweight and highly-efficient multiple-source integration option for hybrid electric vehicles. However, the existing flexible power control strategies of SSMPI require adjusting more control parameters and suffering from low control precision. To tackle these issues, first, an equivalent two-level model-based space vector modulation strategy is adopted to accomplish the synthesis of the expected voltage vector, and power distribution between dc-port sources may also be realized simultaneously through regulating the two redundant zero vectors' duration times. Then, different from prior control schemes, the power distribution control problem is transformed into the problem of solving nonlinear equations and a binary search algorithm is utilized to solve them. Based on this, the two redundant zero vectors' duration times are calculated for realizing an anticipant power distribution. The proposed method features fewer control parameter adjustments and improves power control performance with simplified implementation. Finally, the expected output power control performance of the proposed approach are verified via several steady-state comparative experiments on a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in the laboratory corroborate. © 2023 IEEE.

The single-stage multiport inverter (SSMPI)-fed motor drives enable direct connection from the dc-side energy sources to the ac motor without utilizing any dc/dc converters, which feature high power density and high efficiency of the overall system. However, the output power of each source is highly coupled with the motor control in this topology, which provides poor flexibility of power control. To address this problem, a decoupling control strategy is proposed in this paper. First, an asymmetrical carrier-based modulation strategy is adopted to ensure the high performance of the motor control by fully considering the voltage variation of sources. Then, injecting different values of the zero-sequence voltage adds a degree of freedom for controlling the output power of sources. With the proposed method, the flexible power control is realized without affecting the performance of the motor control. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified through experiments on a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM)-based laboratory prototype. © 2023 IEEE.

With the continuous access of distributed PV to the distribution network and the phenomenon of 'curtailment of hydro', in order to absorb the PV and make full use of it, the excess PV can be absorbed through the IES. In order to plan and size the comprehensive energy system economically and reasonably, firstly, the interaction model of multiple energy flow source-charge in the system is modeled, and the interaction nodes between energy flows are defined. Then, considering the objectives of cost and benefit, unit equipment involved in IES planning are constrained and the optimization strategy is selected. Finally, validated the rationality of the optimization model of the IES proposed in this paper is verified by the example of the integrated energy application scenario set up for the specific absorption of photovoltaic energy, which reflects the effectiveness of the IES for the cross-border absorption of photovoltaic energy. © 2023 IEEE.

In various digital image processing courses, the accuracy of traditional expression recognition algorithms cannot meet practical needs. This paper studies facial expression recognition using a convolutional neural network and ensemble learning. We develop three subnetwork models based on the classical convolutional neural network, using the BN layer to increase the network convergence rate and regularization is used to prevent subnetwork overfitting. The optimization idea used in this paper is applicable to most experimental improvements and raises the standard of the experiments. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Wall climbing robots, also known as wall moving robots, are also known abroad as extreme work robots because vertical wall work is beyond human limits. Despite its superior performance, there has been little research on the subject. This paper introduces a vacuum adsorption structure for a one-footed multi-suction wall climbing robot and establishes a one-footed multi-suction model. Using a four-legged wall crawler as a carrier, the basic conditions to be met by this structure are analysed for both the three-legged and four-legged suction states of the wall crawler. The feasibility of attaching the robot to the structure to move on a vertical wall is verified. The deformation of the body is simulated by ansys for the two adsorption states with load forces ranging from 500N to 700N to verify the feasibility of the structure and to derive a range of feasibility. © 2022 SPIE.

For circumnavigation control of a multi-UAV system with multiple static targets, this paper proposes a bearing measurement based target localization and circumnavigation control algorithm to ensure that the multi-UAV system can realize the target localization and circumnavigation in finite time. First, we design a bearing measurement based finite-time localization algorithm to compute the position of each target. Subsequently, we propose a distributed finite-time circumnavigation control algorithm for the multi-UAV system to realize a uniformly distributed circumnavigation for multiple targets. Finally, numerical simulation experiment verifies the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

A power quality comprehensive compensation strategy for retrofit structure of advanced traction power supply system (ATPSS) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the mathematical model of converter in ATPSS is established. Then focusing on the negative sequence and harmonic power quality problems analyzed in retrofit structure, power quality comprehensive compensation strategy is investigated. Finally, simulations and experimental results verify the effectiveness of comprehensive compensation control strategy. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper,an uncertain economic dispatch problem(EDP)is considered for a group of coopertive ***,let each agent extract a set of samples(scenarios)from the uncertain set,and then a scenario EDP is obtained using these *** on the scenario theory,a prior certifcation is provided to evaluate the probabilistic feasibility of the scenario solution for uncertain *** facilitate the computational task,a distributed solution strategy is proposed by the alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)and a fnite-time consensus ***,the distributed strategy can solve the scenario problem over a weight-balanced directed ***,the proposed solution strategy is applied to an EDP for a power system involving wind power plants.

The development of optical devices has become increasingly important in the miniaturization of integrated circuits, and photonic crystals (PhCs) have emerged as a promising platform for such devices. In this paper, we propose a broadband Silicon waveguide operating at telecommunications wavelengths (λ 0∼ 1550 nm), which utilizes a silicon-based 2D photonic crystal to achieve a high transmission rate. Our simulation results show that by optimizing the width of the waveguide and radius, we can improve the transmission rate and adjust the passband region wavelength range. Specifically, for a waveguide width of 0.25um, the transmission rate varies from 83% to 92%, with a passband region wavelength range of 1480nm to 1670nm. For a wider waveguide width of 0.5um, the transmission rate varies from 75% to 95%, with a wider passband region wavelength range of 1550nm to 1720nm. Furthermore, we designed a high Q hexagonal lattice photonic crystal optical cavity based on Silicon with a thickness of 0.5um. Our simulation results demonstrate a high-quality factor of 52548 at 188.375THz. Our proposed broadband Silicon waveguide and photonic crystal cavity have potential applications in various areas, including telecommunications, sensing, and quantum information processing. © 2023 IEEE.
