As data rates consistently increase, timing margins in high-speed digital circuits are decreasing dramatically, and signal integrity (SI) is severely challenged by jitter. Jitter analysis has become an effective means of assessing SI and plays a role in high-speed system design. With the development of digital storage oscilloscope (DSO), increasing waveform storage depth provides sufficient raw data for jitter analysis, making jitter analysis a necessary function of high-end DSO. This paper focuses on the methodology for jitter analysis and its implementation in DSO. Comparison experiments with other commercial oscilloscopes show that the jitter analysis methodology presented in this paper exhibits high accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper investigates the position tracking control problem in electromagnetic satellite formation by utilizing the relative motion CW equation as the dynamic model. Firstly, a finite-time state feedback controller is derived using the adding a power integrator method, without considering external disturbances. This controller constitutes the feedback component of the composite controller. Subsequently, when the relative velocity of the system cannot be measured and is subject to external disturbances, a finite-time extended state observer is designed to estimate the relative velocity and disturbances of the system. The estimated disturbances serve as feedforward compensation, and the combination of the observer and the feedback control law achieves finite-time control without velocity measurements. Finally, it is proven that the proposed control law can achieve position tracking within a finite time. Numerical simulations at the end of the paper validate the theoretical analysis. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The issue of security control for cyber-physical systems (CPSs) is now receiving a lot of attention. Among them, the network layer is more seriously affected by cyber-attacks than the physical layer. In this paper, we investigate the denial-of-service (DoS) attacks and false data injection (FDI) attack on data transmission. Firstly, the FDI attack that exists in the actuator is estimated by proposing the observer. Then, due to the presence of DoS attacks in the sensor channels, the estimation effect of the former observer is affected. To solve this problem, a new resilient observer is proposed by introducing the switching mechanism. The proposed resilient observer can effectively reduce the adverse effects of DoS attacks on data transmission. Next, a false data estimation-based security controller is proposed, which can ensure the stability of the closed-loop system. Finally, a simulation is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

The Electric Fish Optimization Algorithm (EFO) is renowned for its robustness and global search prowess, yet it faces challenges like premature convergence and local optimum entrapment in complex, high-dimensional spaces. To tackle these issues, this study introduces an enhanced EFO, dubbed SLLF-EFO, which incorporates the Stagnation Label and Levy Flight strategies. By integrating advanced techniques like Good Point Set Theory and the Golden Sine Algorithm, SLLF-EFO boosts EFO's search capabilities. It employs a variable step size Levy flight to counteract passive electric field positioning stagnation problem and utilizes a stagnation label strategy to escape local optimum. Benchmark function-based experiments demonstrate SLLF-EFO's superior performance over EFO, offering faster search speeds and higher optimization accuracy in complex environments. This enhancement not only bolsters EFO's robustness and reliability but also holds significant implications for its future applications. © 2024 IEEE.

As an important part of power transmission, the safe operation of high-voltage cables is crucial. Partial discharge of 110 kV cable during operation is one of the main causes of cable failure, and it is of far-reaching theoretical significance and practical application value to monitor and analyze the signal generated by partial discharge. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between partial discharge and highfrequency current signal of 110 kV cable, and to identify whether partial discharge occurs by analyzing the characteristics of highfrequency current signal.

With the engineering realization and further development of maglev trains, the lifetime prediction of its main power unit, i.e., insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) module, attracts much popularity. However, the complex operating conditions of maglev trains cause the lifetime of IGBTs to be affected by a combination of factors. And the analysis of a single factor will lead to inaccurate lifetime prediction. To address this, for the IGBT of the maglev trains, this paper proposes a lifetime prediction model that considering the effect of changing practical conditions and device aging. In this method, the ambient temperature change of the maglev train in a year and the change of the on-resistance during the aging process is taken into account. Meanwhile, in the system perspective, the effects of changes in voltage levels and switching frequencies are included. And the coupling effects of multiple factors are thoughtfully analyzed and introduced into the lifetime prediction model, which improves the accuracy of the lifetime prediction. Finally, the results of the factor impact analysis and lifetime prediction are validated by power cycling experiments and real vehicle operation data. © 2023 China Power Supply Society. In this paper, effects of different input signal phases and amplitudes on the output are analyzed when the Wilkinson combiner is used for power combining. According to the circuit theory and the transmission line model of the combiner, the relationships between the power received by the load port and that dissipated in the shunt resistor are deduced when two input signals have a phase or amplitude difference. Moreover, two special cases where two input signals are equal in amplitude or phase are discussed. Relevant demonstration circuits are created with GaAs chips by wire bonding to verify such cases. The proposed results can be helpful to the engineering application of power combining and phased array synthesis. © 2023 IEEE.

Most existing nuclear radiation measurement circuits are implemented based on PCB board-level technology, which has low integration, significant signal loss, and is susceptible to environmental interference, thus preventing the achievement of high-precision measurements in complex radiation fields. Consequently, this paper presents research on thick-film integrated circuits for nuclear radiation measurement. Resistors, capacitors, wires, and the interconnections of devices, are fabricated on an Al2O3 ceramic substrate through a combination of film-forming and surfacemount technologies. A thick-film integrated circuit has been developed for the pre-amplification, filtering, and peak holding of nuclear radiation detectors. This circuit offers advantages such as high integration, minimal parasitic effects, radiation resistance, and robust anti-interference capabilities. An energy spectrum measurement system has been constructed, utilizing the dedicated thick-film integrated circuit developed in this paper, achieving an energy resolution of 6.2% at 662 keV for the 3-inch NaI(Tl) detector, and 3.0% at 662 keV for the 3-inch LaBr3(Ce) detector, and 4.5% at 59.5 keV for the 5mm×5mm quasi-hemispherical CZT detector. The energy spectrum measurement results indicate that the thick-film integrated circuit exhibits exceptional performance and possesses significant application potential within the domain of nuclear radiation detection.

A new consequent-pole hybrid-excited permanent magnet machine with DC-biased current (CPHEPM-DC machine) is proposed in this paper. The tooth located in the stator can be divided into two types: the main tooth and the auxiliary tooth. The five-phase multifunctional winding is adopted, which can be regarded as both the armature winding and the excitation winding. There are nine U-typed permanent magnets (PMs) placed in the rotor to improve the power density. In order to verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis, some electromagnetic properties, including the back electromotive force (back-EMF), the average output torque and the cogging torque are analyzed by the finite element (FE) method.

Global warming is a pressing issue, accompanied by both rising temperatures and local extreme cold events. This paper analyzes the relationship between global warming and extreme weather events through quantitative analysis of climate data. Focusing on the United States as a representative of regions experiencing extreme cold, a neural network model is developed to predict these events. Results indicate that rising global temperatures positively correlate with increased snowfall in the US, while negatively impacting US winter temperatures. This suggests that as global average temperatures increase, US winters become colder with more snow. The study concludes that global warming and local extreme cold events are not contradictory but strongly correlated phenomena.
