In the wake of the wide application of distributed energy resources and the rapid development of renewable energy technologies, building energy systems are evolving in the direction of high efficiency, flexibility and sustainability. PEDF buildings are an emerging energy system that combines photovoltaic (PV) power generation, electrical energy storage, direct current (DC) power distribution, and flexible power technology to provide a solution for buildings to efficiently utilize renewable energy and optimize energy consumption. Its core is PV power generation technology, through the installation of photovoltaic panels on the exterior of the building, solar energy can be directly converted into electricity, and this way of utilizing renewable energy not only reduces the reliance on traditional energy sources, but also reduces the adverse effect on the environment. PV power generation systems can meet the electricity demand inside the building and store the excess power for future use. Electric energy storage systems typically use efficient battery technology to store and release electricity, increasing energy efficiency and reliability, and balancing the difference between energy supply and demand to provide a stable output of electricity. PEDF building systems provide a solution for the sustainable development of the building industry by efficiently utilizing renewable energy sources and optimizing energy consumption. This emerging building energy system lays the foundation for us to move towards a more environmentally friendly and sustainable future.

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) have gained significant attention in rehabilitation research as a critical step in investigating neural remodeling techniques. However, most existing methods usually overlook the randomness and diversity of motion artifacts, thereby lacking the desired generalization ability and denoising precision, which limits their practical application. To address these limitations, we propose a Dynamic Evaluation Denoising Network (DED-Net) that incorporates an evaluation model with cross-domain feature fusion for artifact detection and classification. Then dynamically selecting Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) networks with varying parameters for artifact removal, which achieves superior performance compared to state-of-the-art methods. Our experiment on a semi-simulated dataset constructed by EEGdenoiseNET demonstrates that the performance of DED-Net is advanced over the state-of-the-art method, i.e., SDNet, in terms of the signal-to-noise rate (SNR) and correlation coefficient (CC). Using our method, SNR and CC are 6.0597 dB and 95.28%, respectively increasing by 20.48% and 3.15%. Experiments on real EEG data demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method in reconstructing EEG signals, in terms of the intent recognition tasks, achieving a remarkable accuracy of 88.89%, outperforming other methods.

Electric mobility has emerged as a paradigm shift towards cleaner, more efficient, and sustainable transportation systems. Laser lap welding is being adopted in battery manufacturing due to its unique advantages including high throughput, noncontact access, excellent precision, and small heat-affected zone. An important challenge of laser lap welding is the limited capability for in-process monitoring of penetration depth and contact width of weldment, which determines electrical resistance and joint strength. This requires three-dimensional live information of the molten pool/keyhole. The existing techniques are limited in surface imaging or indirect measurement of penetration depth, hence the precision is limited due to the intrinsic starving-signal in all dimensions. To address this issue, an optical system was designed to couple optical coherence tomography depth imaging with a coaxial high-speed camera to capture the three-dimensional information synchronously. A multimodal deep learning network was created to fuse the two-source data for predicting the depth and contact width. Experiments were conducted with different laser power and welding speeds, and the cross-sections of the weldment were cut and micro-imaged as the ground truth. Compared to the individual sensing systems, the proposed fused system exhibits improved precision on both the depth and contact width.

The economic dispatch problem of power systems, which is typically based on multi-agent networks, often necessitates conditions like full graph connectivity. However, as the scale of power systems expands, maintaining full graph connectivity in communication systems could result in increased costs and communication burdens. Consequently, this paper investigates a distributed finite-step c o nsensus m e thod t h at incorporates geographical region division, aiming to achieve economical power allocation without the need for full graph connectivity. In this method, we initially derive a Laplace matrix from the distributed topology of generators in multi-agent power systems. Subsequently, we construct another Laplace matrix by geographically dividing regions, thereby illustrating the communication relationships between these regions. Subsequently, we calculate the incremental cost of each region, taking into account the power constraints of the generators. Moreover, to expedite convergence, we employ a distributed finite-step c o nsensus algorithm to address the economic dispatch problem, leveraging the divided regional incremental costs. Finally, we validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method through results on various multi-agent topologies and comparisons with other iterative algorithms.

This paper presents a human-exoskeleton coupling model for estimating the human-exoskeleton coupling force. Specifically, to enhance the model's ability to characterize the complex mechanical characteristics of human-exoskeleton coupling, the fractional-order differential term is introduced. Moreover, the coupling model adopts a segmented form to characterize the different mechanical characteristics of front-side and back-side compression in the human-exoskeleton coupling. Using experimental data measured by the self-developed humanexoskeleton coupling measurement platform, the corresponding model parameters for 10 adult male and 10 adult female volunteers (Age: $\mathbf{23.65 \pm 4.03}$ years, Height: $\mathbf{165.60 \pm 8.32 cm,}$ Weight: $\mathbf{62.35\pm 14.09 \text{kg})}$ were identified via Neighborhood Field Optimization (NFO) and Least Squares (LS) methods. Based on the analysis of the estimated root mean square error (RMSE) of the coupling force, it was verified that the coupling force can be estimated accurately based on the proposed fractional-order human-exoskeleton coupling model with the segmented form.

The network of end-to-end automatic driving algorithms can be divided into perception network part and planning network part. Most of the research on the end-to-end automatic driving algorithm focuses on the part of the perception network, while the improvement of the planning network is less. However, the existing planning network can not effectively use the perceptual features, which may lead to traffic accidents. In this paper, we propose a Transformer-based trajectory prediction network for end-to-end autonomous driving without rules called Target-point Attention Transformer network (TAT). Leveraging the attention mechanism, our proposed model facilitates interaction between the predicted trajectory and perception features, along with target-points. Comparative evaluations with existing conditional imitation learning and GRU-based methods show the superior performance of our approach, particularly in reducing accident occurrences and improving route completion. Extensive assessments conducted in complex closed-loop driving scenarios within urban settings, utilizing the CARLA simulator, affirm the state-of-the-art proficiency of our proposed method.

In the setting of discrete-time nonlinear systems, a data-modeling-based control technique that combines observer and predictive control is presented in this study, where a mix of model predictive control (MPC) and dynamic linearization approaches is used to construct a data-driven strategy focused on output optimization. First, the equivalent conversion from nonlinear to linear systems is realized by compact format dynamic linearization(CFDL) method, and a pseudo-partial derivative (PPD) method of estimation with only data information is created using an adaptive observer. Second, a predictive control function containing the observer output, control input and observation error is defined and combined with continuous optimization of actions to generate the optimal control action. The convergence performance of the parameters arising from the application of the suggested method to a nonlinear system, such as PPD estimate error, observer error, and systematic error, is obtained mathematically. Ultimately, numerical simulation studies were carried out to verify the suggested algorithm's value in raising control precision. © 2023 IEEE.

Traditional vector signal calibration algorithms mostly use superposition algorithms that rely on vector signal characteristics or adaptive algorithms based on feedback systems. This article analyzes the calibration algorithms based on the adaptive model and adds intelligent modules to improve the calibration ability and operation performance of the model. Besides, this article proposes an artificial intelligence-based I/Q signal calibration scheme based on the principle of deep learning. This method introduces the recurrent neural network into the calibration process of the I/Q signal. Through the analysis of performance evaluation indicators and the optimization of the adaptive model, calibration network model, automatic calibration of the I/Q signal imbalance problem is achieved. Through intelligent dynamic adjustment strategies, the stability and reliability of measurements are improved, thereby improving the performance of the vector signal analyzer in processing I/Q signals in complex environments.

The high magnetic permeability of inductors can effectively increase the efficiency and power density of grid-connected inverters (GCIs). However, the high magnetic permeability often results in wide variant inductance, which imposes severe challenges to the stability of GCIs. This paper examines the influence of inductance variation on GCI’s output admittance from the perspective of passivity and presents an optimal design method for controller parameters to ensure that the GCI’s output admittance remains passive while the inductance is reduced to about one-third of the initial value. Finally, the accuracy of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the design are verified by the simulation and experimental results.

Eddy current pulsed thermography (ECPT) combines the efficiency of eddy current pulsed technology with the high resolution of thermal imaging technology, has been found widespread application in non-destructive testing (NDT). However, most of the current algorithms and models primarily rely on one-dimensional heat conduction on vertical direction, which exhibit lower capabilities in modeling transverse heat transfer. Because of the significant impact of the lateral heat transfer in subsurface defect detection, we propose a discretized three-dimensional thermal diffusion model based on ECPT, which enables the simulation of the thermal diffusion process following ECPT excitation. We analyzed the thermal diffusion states and its causes at different defect burial depths and times, and set up an ECPT experimental platform to collect experimental data. Experimental results indicate that this model can effectively simulate the thermal diffusion process within acceptable margins of error (less than 0.4%), which shows great potential in the application of ECPT in subsurface defect detection.
