Semantic segmentation is the most important branch of image processing. Semantic segmentation based on deep learning occupies the mainstream method. CNN, FCN, U-NET and DEEPLAB series have achieved good results in the field of image semantic segmentation. The improvement methods of each network also emerge in an endless stream, but the emphasis of improving the network focuses on the feature transfer and feature fusion between network layers in each method. In this paper, based on u-net, we use deep convolution, residual autonomic force and dendrite network to improve the network model. Deep convolution can reduce the amount of calculation, deepen the depth of network, extract more abundant image information, and transmit information between network layers in a more refined way. Dendritic networks are different from ordinary neural networks. Ordinary neural networks process information as models of nerve cell bodies. The role of neural dendrites is also important in the process of information processing. Dendritic network is used as a model of neural dendrites to improve the ability of information processing. The improved network in this paper was tested on the VOC2012 dataset, and the experimental results showed that PA, mAP and IoU were 93.36%, 92.28% and 68.26% respectively. The experimental results showed that the improved network in this paper had improved in all indicators. © 2021 IEEE.

Drilling rate of penetration(ROP) optimization is crucial due to its vital role in increasing the drilling efficiency and decreasing the non-productive *** existing methods seldom pay attention to updating model parameter during drilling,which is actually important for ROP optimization under dynamical and uncertain downhole *** this paper,an online drilling ROP optimization method is proposed via three stages(drilling data pre-processing,online ROP modelling and online optimal operational parameters optimization).In the first stage,drilling data is pre-processed by resampling and Savitzky-Golay *** this,support vector regression and moving-window strategy are introduced together to establish an online ROP model in the next ***,particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied in the online ROP optimization framework to obtain the optimal operational parameters in the last *** results indicated the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Facial emotion recognition helps feed the growth of the future artificial intelligence with the development of emotion recognition,learning,and analysis of different angles of a human face and head *** worlds recent pandemic gave rise to the rapid installment of facial recognition for fewer applications,while emotion recognition is still within the experimental *** current challenges encountered with facial emotion recognition(FER) are the difference between background *** todays world shows us that humans soon need robotics in the most significant role of human perception,attention,memory,decision-making,and human-robot interaction(HRI) needs *** merging the head pose as a combination towards the FER to boost the robustness in understanding emotions using the convolutional neural networks(CNN).The stochastic gradient descent with a comprehensive model is adopted by applying multi-task learning capable of implicit parallelism,inherent and better global optimizer in finding better network *** executing a multi-task learning model using two independent datasets,the experiment with the FER and head pose learning multi-views co-regularization frameworks were subsequently merged with validation accuracy.

The multi-population method is a common method for solving dynamic optimization problems. However, to design an efficient multi-population method, one of the challenging issues is how to allocate computational resources between populations given a limited computing buget in dynamic environments. This paper designs a contribution-based resource allocation mechanism. In this mechanism, a contribution degree of a population is defined according to the performance of the population, which determines the probability of the population to obtain the computing resource. This mechanism is implemented in an adaptive multi-population method. Experimental results on the moving peaks benchmark show that the algorithm equipped with the resource allocation mechanism outperforms the original algorithms. © 2020 IEEE.

In artificial intelligence(AI)based-complex power system management and control technology,one of the urgent tasks is to evaluate AI intelligence and invent a way of autonomous intelligence ***,there is,currently,nearly no standard technical framework for objective and quantitative intelligence *** this article,based on a parallel system framework,a method is established to objectively and quantitatively assess the intelligence level of an AI agent for active power corrective control of modern power systems,by resorting to human intelligence evaluation *** this basis,this article puts forward an AI self-evolution method based on intelligence assessment through embedding a quantitative intelligence assessment method into automated reinforcement learning(AutoRL)systems.A parallel system based quantitative assessment and self-evolution(PLASE)system for power grid corrective control AI is thereby constructed,taking Bayesian Optimization as the measure of AI evolution to fulfill autonomous evolution of AI under guidance of their intelligence assessment *** results exemplified in the power grid corrective control AI agent show the PLASE system can reliably and quantitatively assess the intelligence level of the power grid corrective control agent,and it could promote evolution of the power grid corrective control agent under guidance of intelligence assessment results,effectively,as well as intuitively improving its intelligence level through selfevolution.

Evasion strategies of a three-player lifeline game

This study examines a multi-player pursuit-evasion game, more specifically, a three-player lifeline game in a planar environment, where a single evader is tasked with reaching a lifeline prior to capture. A decomposition method based on an explicit policy is proposed to address the game qualitatively from two main aspects:(1) the evader's position distribution to guarantee winning the game(i.e., the escape zone),which is based on the premise of knowing the pursuers' positions initially, and(2) evasion strategies in the escape zone. First, this study decomposes the three-player lifeline game into two two-player sub-games and obtains an analytic expression of the escape zone by constructing a barrier, which is an integration of the solutions of two sub-games. This study then explicitly partitions the escape zone into several regions and derives an evasion strategy for each region. In particular, this study provides a resultant force method for the evader to balance the active goal of reaching the lifeline and the passive goal of avoiding capture. Finally,some examples from a lifeline game involving more than one pursuer are used to verify the effectiveness and scalability of the evasion strategies.

This paper presents an adaptive equivalent-input-disturbance(AEID)approach that contains a new adjustable gain to improve disturbance-rejection performance.A linear matrix inequality is derived to design the parameters of a control *** adaptive law for the adjustable gain is presented based on the combination of the root locus method and Lyapunov stability theory to guarantee the stability of the AEID-based *** adjustable gain is limited in an allowable range and the information for adjusting is obtained from the state of the *** results show that the method is effective and robust.A comparison with the conventional EID approach demonstrates the validity and superiority of the method.

With the large-scale application of wind power, the wind power prediction has been highlighted. In order to improve the prediction accuracy of wind power and ensure the resource utilization rate, a wind power prediction method based on support vector machine regression and particle swarm optimization based on multi-source NWP (numerical weather prediction) is proposed. Firstly, the SVR (support vector regression) algorithm is introduced to model the multi-source wind speed data, which can effectively extract the main features and improve the wind speed prediction accuracy. Then, the PSO (particle swarm optimization) is used to model the historical predicted power data and the actual power data for power prediction. Finally, the proposed approach provides wind power forecasts for future 1 day in steps of 15 min. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experiments on wind farms and the results show that the proposed method is more accurate and effective than SVR. © ISCIIA and ITCA 2018 - 8th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Industrial Applications and 12th china-Japan International Workshop on Information Technology and control Application.

In the process of image acquisition, non-uniform illumination images are common due to poor lighting, surface reflection, or a combination of these two factors. In order to improve the quality of image segmentation, an image threshold segmentation method is proposed for non-uniform illumination images. First, the brightness of different regions in the image is compensated to make the brightness background of the whole image consistent. Second, the gradation histogram of the processed image is obtained and simulated into Gaussian distribution curve, then the inflection points of the curve are calculated. Finally, the two inflection points are set as thresholds to segment the image after brightness equalization. This method eliminates the influence of non-uniform illumination to a certain extent and gets a better segmentation effect. Experiments were carried out on images containing several different types of non-uniform illumination. The results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the compared enhancement algorithms in threshold segmentation. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Image retrieval is a hot research topic in the field of computer vision image processing, and the user queries the image database for similar images and produces a list of recommendations. The paper firstly sets forth the research status of image retrieval, then the convolution neural network is briefly introduced. Due to the traditional image retrieval and recommendation system use manual extraction of image features is relatively cumbersome, and the retrieval accuracy is not high research status, the paper proposes an image retrieval method based on the improved convolutional neural network and linear discriminate analysis. Caltech256 and CIFAR-10 datasets were trained using the model in this paper, experimental, results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the performance of retrieval. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
