With the development trend of intelligent drilling in coal mines,an intelligent monitoring system for operating states in a drilling process is developed to solve the problems of incomplete display of drilling parameters and ineffective *** system realizes the remote monitoring of drilling *** mainly adopts the Fuzzy C-Means clustering algorithm to cluster the drilling *** it combines expert empirical knowledge to classify coal seams into soft,hard and alternating soft and hard coal *** boundary values are calculated according to the boundary ***,three drilling operating states,rated,conservative and over-excited,are judged to provide guidance for the drilling process control.

X-ray security check is a prevalent placement measure that plays a vital role in ensuring public safety. However, detecting prohibited items poses a complex challenge due to their variable sizes within X-ray images. In this study, we tackle this issue by curating a novel dataset through the integration of open-source data and introducing a Multiscale Feature Fusion Module. This module facilitates robust detection by amalgamating features across different scales. Extensive experiments verified that the superiority of our method compared to existing methods on the prohibited items test set constructed in this paper demonstrates extremely well the practical effectiveness of our proposed method.

Underwater supporting robots serving as a relay of energy supplements and communication for other underwater equipment are promising for ocean exploration, development, and protection. This paper proposes a novel autonomous docking system centered on a designed supporting robotic fish named 'CourierFish'. Specifically, CourierFish is capable of docking with a surface dock station for supplying itself and docking with a seafloor platform for supporting equipment in the platform. A visual navigation scheme integrating LED and ArUco markers is presented for accurate localization. The control approach for docking motion is also illustrated. Simulations and aquatic experiments are performed to verify the feasibility of the proposed docking system. The obtained results lay a solid foundation for the construction of various underwater equipment and robot networks. © 2023 IEEE.

The fluxgate sensor is the most widely used sensor in vector magnetic measurement. However, during long-term continuous observation, the fluxgate sensor will produce large measurement errors due to changes in ambient temperature. This paper proposes a temperature calibration method for the fluxgate sensor based on polynomial fitting to address the temperature error of fluxgate sensors. First, the effect of temperature on the performance indicators of the fluxgate sensor was analyzed. Second, according to the existing temperature-magnetic field data, a temperature calibration model of the fluxgate sensor was constructed. Compared with other temperature calibration methods, the result shows that the proposed temperature calibration method is relatively simple and can better achieve real-time calibration for sensor application scenarios. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, numerous laboratory experiments were implemented. The temperature drift was reduced from about 700 nT before calibration to about 1 nT, root mean square error RMSE = 11.7189, indicating that the proposed method has a good temperature calibration effect on the data measured by the fluxgate sensor within the variable temperature background. © Fuji Technology Press Ltd.

The development of high-performance and miniaturized magnetometers is important for small-scale target magnetic anomaly detection. In this work, a miniaturized three-axis vector magnetometer based on the tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) technique is investigated for magnetic anomaly detection. First, the miniaturized three-axis TMR vector magnetometer is constructed, and then, the limit of detection tests and the magnetic anomaly detection tests are performed. The indoor experimental results show that the proposed magnetometer can capture the magnetic anomalies higher than 3.9 nT, with the low-frequency equivalent magnetic noise of 46.89 pT/√Hz@1Hz. The outdoor experimental results show that the proposed magnetometer can effectively detect small-scale magnetic targets such as hammers at a distance of about 1.5 m. With the advantages of small size, low power consumption, and high magnetic measurement sensitivity, the TMR magnetometer has great application prospects for long-term magnetic anomaly monitoring, high-density magnetic imaging, and other fields. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. Global Navigation Satellite systems (GNSS) can provide real-time positioning information for outdoor users, but cannot for indoor scenarios or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios. Strap-down Inertial Navigation system (SINS) are widely used to locate people in complex interior or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios due to its light weight and low power consumption. However, IMU of SINS are noisy, and the sampling data error is large, which is a divergence of the error with time. Therefore, it will generate a positioning accumulation error, which affects the final positioning accuracy. The problem of cumulative IMU errors is usually dealt with by Zero-Velocity Update (ZUPT). The zero-velocity detection part of basic ZUPT method usually uses a single threshold to determine the gait of pedestrian, which often has the problem of gait misjudgment and omission. To address these problems, this paper proposes a composite conditional detection method to solve the problem of misjudgment in the zero-velocity interval. In addition, we redesign the zero-velocity update algorithm and uses the Cubature Kalman filter (CKF) for pedestrian positioning error correction. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed ZUPT method based on dual-threshold detection can better detect the interval between pedestrian motion and stationery than ones with single threshold. The zero-velocity update algorithm based on CKF has higher performance than conventional EKF and UKF methods, which constrains the cumulative error of SINS to about 0.2% of the whole walking distance. © 2023 IEEE.

Magnetically-controlled soft microrobots have great application prospects because of small size, flexible motion and wireless control. In this paper, a magnetically-controlled soft microrobot is designed and fabricated. In order to achieve its path-following control, two open-loop control strategies and a closed-loop one are developed. Especially, for the closed-loop control strategy, we present the image processing method and the pure pursuit algorithm, where the former is used to obtain the position and posture of the microrobot required for the latter. Finally, the developed open-loop and closed-loop control strategies are verified by carrying out the experiments. These methods are promising in numerous applications because of the ease of implementation. © 2022 IEEE.

Speech emotion recognition (SER) is a key technology to achieve natural human-computer interaction. The development of SER is significantly influenced by the scale of the sample. In recent years, the study of SER has been intensified by introducing data augmentation methods. However, most of these methods directly augment the sample data scale, neglecting the rational analysis and utilization of the feature distribution of samples. In this paper, we propose a new framework for SER based on clustering assistance, which can utilize the feature distribution information of the sample data directly and effectively. It considers the sample proportion of each emotion category in the clusters obtained by clustering, converts it into a probability score, which is called the clustering emotion probability score, and fuses it with the emotion probability score from the simple classification model according to different fusion weighting factors. We evaluated the proposed method with the baseline model on the IEMOCAP dataset. Experimental results show that our method achieves better results than the baseline model in terms of both weighted and unweighted accuracy. © 2022 IEEE.

Current magnetic anomaly detection (MAD) methods prioritize signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) over signal features and edge information, leading to signal distortion. To address this issue, a new MAD approach utilizes structured lowrank approximation and block singular value decomposition based on the spatial frequency domain, dubbed FL-BSVD is proposed. First, the low-rankness structure of the magnetic anomaly signal is obtained through 2D Discrete Fourier Transform (2D-DFT) and structured Hankel transformation. Then, block singular value decomposition is applied to the Hankel matrix to reduce noise while preserving more signal edge features and enhancing detection accuracy. Finally, a field experiment comparing FL-BSVD with four commonly used methods is conducted. The experiment confirms that FL-BSVD can effectively recover magnetic anomaly signal features and edge information in a strong noisy environment.
