This paper is concerned with $H_{\infty}$ performance state estimation of static neural networks with a time-varying delay. First, a PI estimator with exponential term is used to estimate neuron states based on output measurement. Second, an augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) containing delay-product-type non-integral terms and single integral terms is constructed by introducing negative definite terms. After that, a criterion with less conservatism is derived based on extended reciprocally convex matrix inequality. Finally, a numerical example is provided to reveal the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) determines RNA expression at single-cell resolution. It provides a powerful tool for studying immunity, regulation, and other life activities of cells. However, due to the limitations of the sequencing technique, the scRNA-seq data are represented with sparsity, which contains missing gene values, i.e., zero values, called dropout. Therefore, it is necessary to impute missing values before analyzing scRNA-seq data. However, existing imputation computation methods often only focus on the identification of technical zeros or imputing all zeros based on cell similarity. This study proposes a new method (SFAG) to reconstruct the gene expression relationship matrix by using graph regularization technology to preserve the high-dimensional manifold information of the data, and to mine the relationship between genes and cells in the data, and then uses a method of averaging the clustering results to fill in the identified technical zeros. Experimental results show that SFAG can help improve downstream analysis and reconstruct cell trajectory. © 2024, CC BY.

A new Gaussian approximate (GA) filter for nonlinear systems with one-step randomly delayed measurement and correlated noise is proposed in this paper. Firstly, a general framework of Gaussian filter is designed under Gaussian assumption on the conditional density. Then, the implementation of Gaussian filter is transformed into the approximation of the Gaussian weighted integral in the proposed frame. Secondly, a new cubature Kalman filtering(CKF)algorithm is developed on the basis of the spherical-radial cubature rule. The efficiency and superiority of the proposed method are illustrated in the numerical examples.

In this paper, the master-slave synchronization issue of chaotic Lur’ e systems with time-varying-delay feedback control is investigated. Firstly, the synchronization problem of chaotic system is transformed into the stability problem of chaotic synchronization error system, which is studied based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) method. Secondly, a novel augmented LKF with more cross terms that related to time-varying delay is proposed. Based on the application of the relaxation integral inequality and the reciprocally convex matrix inequality, an improved synchronization criterion is derived by using the cubic function negative-determination lemma. Finally, a numerical simulation example demonstrates the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed methods.

intelligent monitoring system is crucial to the process of geological disaster prevention and control, and plays a vital role in improving prevention and control efficiency and early warning accuracy. An intelligent monitoring and dynamic early warning system for geological hazards is designed. First, four main functional requirements of data fusion and visualization, single landslide dynamic warning, regional landslide susceptibility evaluation and risk level inquiry are analyzed in detail. Then, the system network architecture is analyzed and a six-layer software framework is designed. Finally, a new online data architecture is proposed. The designed system provides a feasible solution for geological disaster prevention and control.

Surface defect detection of sanitary ceramic products is an important part of the production process. The deep learning method is the mainstream research direction in the field of defect detection. Since there are many small defects on the surface of sanitary ceramic products, it is an effective means to use a high-resolution camera to obtain images. The detection speed of high-resolution pictures and the interference of background are the difficult problems in detection. Therefore, this paper designs a two-scale detection framework to detect and locate defects of sanitary ceramics utilizing high-resolution images. The two-scale detection framework speeds up the detection of high-resolution images and weakens the interference of the background by dividing the defect detection task into two parts, a workpiece region recognition task on large scale and a defect detection task on small scale. The experiments show that the two-scale detection method has a better detection speed and accuracy rate compared with the single-scale method, which proves the superiority of the proposed method.

We are committed to designing a method for establishing a set of reliable correspondences between two images in this paper. Previous work proposes an outlier removal network based on global and local attention mechanism. It normalizes the feature map under the guidance of attention weight, as a result the robustness to outliers is improved and inliers are better preserved. However, element-wise multiplication of these two different attentions makes them unable to perform their original functions. In order to overcome this limitation, a network based on attention mechanism has been designed in our work. Firstly, global attention is employed to compute a global weight which can help normalization focus on inliers and reduce the influence of outliers on context information. Secondly, to extract channel information, we use local attention to learn a channel weight for each correspondence. Finally, the above structures and residual network modules are combined for correspondence establishment. Experimental results show that our method is better than other SOTA methods. © 2021 IEEE

Magnetically-controlled soft microrobots have great application prospects because of small size, flexible motion and wireless control. In this paper, a magnetically-controlled soft microrobot is designed and fabricated. In order to achieve its path-following control, two open-loop control strategies and a closed-loop one are developed. Especially, for the closed-loop control strategy, we present the image processing method and the pure pursuit algorithm, where the former is used to obtain the position and posture of the microrobot required for the latter. Finally, the developed open-loop and closed-loop control strategies are verified by carrying out the experiments. These methods are promising in numerous applications because of the ease of implementation.

Aiming at the potential safety hazards of silicon single crystal production enterprises in the process of multi-furnace silicon single crystal production, and considering the maximum power load requirements in actual enterprises, a silicon single crystal production process scheduling model with the goal of minimizing the maximum completion time was established. Based on this model, an adaptive improved particle swarm optimization algorithm (Adaptive GPSO) is proposed to solve it. The algorithm retains the individual optimal value and global optimal value of the particle swarm algorithm, and introduces the crossover operation and mutation operation in the genetic algorithm to improve the new individual generation mechanism. At the same time, it performs dynamic iterative calculations on the mutation probability and crossover probability to avoid the algorithm fall into the local optimum, and improve the diversity and convergence of the algorithm. By solving different scales scheduling problems of silicon single crystal production process, the experiments on real-world data shows that the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2021 IEEE

This paper is concerned with the containment control problem for multi-agent systems(MASs) with time-varying delays. For the purpose of obtaining less conservative containment control criterion, an augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional(LKF) considering more delay information is constructed firstly. Then by employing the Wirtinger-based integral inequality(WBII) and the extended reciprocally convex matrix inequality(ERCMI) to estimate the derivative of LKF, the delay-dependent term ignored in previous works is reconsidered. Moreover, a delay-product-type(DPT) functional based on the Jensen inequality is established to further reduce the conservatism of the outcomes. As a result, two new criteria are derived to ensure the containment consensus on the communication directed graph, the upper bound of maximum delays and feedback gains. Finally, two numerical simulations are employed to demonstrate the superiority of the theoretical results.
