The accuracy of coolant flow measurement of reactor Primary Circuit has a direct impact on the safety and stability of nuclear reactors. However, the presence of errors in the measurement method and instrumentation, as well as the fluid-heat coupling field in the pipeline, leads to a certain degree of uncertainty in the flow measurement. In this paper, an inverse uncertainty quantification method named Sample Chunked Bayesian Inference is proposed based on the establishment of a mathematical model of measurement uncertainty. The proposed method divides the input sample into a number of small samples with single peaks, and then uses each of these as observation sample of Bayesian Inference. The experiments show that the method can effectively quantify the systematic uncertainty and random uncertainty in the measured data. Moreover, compared with the traditional method that use input sample directly as observation sample, the proposed method has higher quantization accuracy. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Computational simulation is an important technical means in research of nuclear fuel *** nuclear fuel issues are inherently multi-scopic,it is imperative to study them with multi-scale simulation *** present,the development of multi-scale simulation for nuclear fuel materials calls for a more systematic approach,in which lies the main purpose of this *** most important thing in multi-scale simulation is to accurately formulate the goals to be achieved and the types of methods to be *** this regard,we first summarize the basic principles and applicability of the simulation methods which are commonly used in nuclear fuel research and are based on different scales ranging from micro to macro,***-Principles(FP),Molecular Dynamics(MD),Kinetic Monte Carlo(KMC),Phase Field(PF),Rate Theory(RT),and Finite Element Method(FEM).And then we discuss the major material issues in this field,also ranging from micro-scale to macro-scale and covering both pellets and claddings,with emphasis on what simulation method would be most suitable for solving each of the ***,we give our prospective analysis and understanding about the feasible ways of multi-scale integration and relevant handicaps and challenges.

Chiller model is a key factor to building energy simulation and chiller performance *** spread of new types of electric water chillers that have higher performance and wider operating range,new challenges have been faced by building energy simulation tools and their chiller *** work takes a new type of electric water chiller as a case study and reevaluates eight typical empirically based models for predicting the energy performance of electric water chiller to verify whether they are suitable for the new type of chiller,using both laboratory test data from chiller manufacturer and online monitoring data from on-site operation of a central cooling plant with chillers of the same *** prediction ability of the chiller models(including model prediction accuracy and generation ability)in laboratory test and on-site operation situations are *** results show that the existing models can well describe the chiller performance in the laboratory test situation but perform poorly in the on-site operation *** the best two models in the laboratory dataset,the overall prediction errors of DOE-2 and GN model increase more than 250%and 75%respectively in the field *** big discrepancy of model prediction accuracy in the two situations is mainly due to the differences of evaporator and condenser water flow rates between the laboratory and on-site operation datasets,which indicates the limitations of the empirical chiller models and implies further research in future in order to improve the suitability and reliability of chiller model.

Effect of AU Ion Irradiation on Microstructure, Mechanical, and Lead-Bismuth Eutectic Corrosion Properties of Zirconia Coatings with Different Y2o3 Content

The yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) coatings with 4 ~ 6 mol.% Y2O3 content was irradiated by 6 MeV Au ions with a fluence 6.0[[EQUATION]]1015 ions/cm2. The cubic to monoclinic transformation of ZrO2 is is identified in the Au-irradiated samples. The cavities are observed in the YSZ layer while larger size cavities are found in the 6YSZ layer. LBE corrosion results show that irradiation improves the adhesion and corrosion resistance of the coating due to the fact that irradiation releases the stresses in the coating. Overall, the 4YSZ coating showed the best corrosion resistance and irradiation resistance in the case of heavy ion irradiation. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The microstructure evolution of amorphous FeCrAlTiMo coatings during annealing process, and the effects of structural relaxation and crystallization on its mechanical properties and LBE corrosion resistance are systematically investigated. With increasing annealing temperatures, three coatings with different microstructure, including relaxation and crystallization, could be obtained. The structural relaxation is beneficial to improve the LBE corrosion resistance of the coating, but it is accompanied by the loss of mechanical properties (interface bonding strength and wear resistance). Accurate prediction of multiple orders remaining completion time (MORCT) is crucial in the make-to-order production model. It enables managers to keep track of production status, make timely decisions, and ensure on-time delivery of orders. However, dynamic production environments, characterized by constantly changing order quantities and relationships, as well as the special temporal features of the production process, pose challenges to existing prediction methods. To address these issues, this paper proposes a novel framework based on multi-target regression. First, production data are collected and standardized from various sources using multiple data transfer protocols. The input dataset is then constructed and dynamically adjusted to accommodate changes in order quantities and priorities. Finally, a prediction model named DMTR-LSA is developed to effectively handle the specific temporal relationships in the production data by integrating long short-term memory (LSTM) and self-attention mechanisms. A case study in a real production workshop demonstrates that the proposed method supports simultaneous prediction of multiple orders. It outperforms existing methods on several evaluation metrics, reducing the average prediction error by more than 8.9%. These results highlight the practical value of the proposed method for predicting MORCT in dynamic production environments and its potential impact to enhance the production decision-making process. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

The magnetic jack type control rod drive mechanism (CRDM) is a critical electromagnetic actuator utilized in reactors, with its movable components subject to the combined effects of electromagnetic force, liquid resistance, spring force, and other factors, resulting in highly nonlinear and uncertain motion characteristics. This article establishes a novel model for the dynamic process analysis of the CRDM. The dynamic electromagnetic force and inductance of the CRDM are analyzed based on the equivalent magnetic network (EMN) model, taking into account mesh reconstruction and magnetic saturation. Through kinematic analysis and parameter coupling analysis, electromagnetic and kinematic parameters during the CRDM lifting process are obtained. Finally, finite element analysis (FEA) and experimentation are conducted to validate the accuracy of the proposed model.

Metamorphic Relation (MR) plays a crucial role in Metamorphic Testing (MT), which can be regarded as the implication relation from the input pattern to the output pattern. Based on MR's properties, the identification of Metamorphic Relations (MRs) can be from its input pattern and output pattern, respectively. However, the finding of the effective input pattern is very first and important. Especially for complicated mathematical function includes more than two input variables, we systematically analyze the structural model of input pattern in MR, propose the concept of the class of basic input pattern, as well as prove that any one input pattern can be expressed as a combination of basic input patterns in scientific computing programs. Moreover, the structural model of input pattern in MR is established based on previous proof. Finally, we put forward an identification algorithm framework and analysis its complexity. The core contribution of our method is to decompose the input pattern identification problem in multi-dimensional space into a single one-dimensional. For this reason, the examples show that the complexity of the algorithm is reduced significantly. © 2022 IEEE.

To solve the problem that the input of single spectrogram cannot fully express the fault feature of the wind turbine gearbox, a fault diagnosis method of the wind turbine gearbox based on the fusion of the multi-sensor spectrogram and the improved CNN neural network is proposed. Firstly, in view of the problem of aliasing of vibration signal components of wind turbine gearboxes, the vibration signals of each sensor are sparsely decomposed to obtain high resonance components including gear harmonic components and low resonance components that may include bearing fault impact components. The high-resonance component and low-resonance component spectrograms of the sensor are fused as the input of the convolutional neural network;secondly, the fault diagnosis model of the wind turbine gearbox that fuses the multispectrogram and the improved CNN neural network is constructed and trained;finally, through QPZZ-II The experimental platform for fault diagnosis of rotating machinery verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method has a high accuracy of 98.55% for fault diagnosis of wind turbine gearboxes. © 2022 IEEE.
