A coupled axisymmetric peridynamics with a stabilized correspondence material model (CA-PD-SCMM) is proposed in this work to effectively simulate the ablation and ductile fracture behaviors of metals under high temperatures. To quantify the damage resulting from compression and shearing deformations, a strain energy density decomposition method is incorporated into the ductile damage model. Furthermore, a novel axisymmetric stabilization method based on peridynamics linearization theory is introduced to mitigate numerical oscillations arising from zero-energy modes in both thermal and mechanical scenarios. To capture the varying geometries and update the boundary conditions during ablation, a moving boundary model is developed based on temperature-associated criteria. To validate the capacity of the proposed CA-PD-SCMM, several representative numerical experiments are conducted. These examples not only affirm its ability to stabilize numerical oscillations in coupled axisymmetric thermoplastic problems but also demonstrate its capability for accurately simulating ablation and predicting crack propagation. © 2024, The Authors. A distributed fault-tolerant formation control law is designed in this paper for multi-agent systems under external disturbances and actuator faults including time-varying loss of effectiveness faults. The initial position of each agent is already on a circle and the control purpose is to form a desired formation on this circle. Based on this local information, a distributed adaptive formation control law is designed by employing the congelation of variables method to deal with time-varying actuator faults. The NACIE-UP facility is located at the ENEA Brasimone Research Centre and is designed to investigate the thermo-hydraulic properties of LBE within a wire-spaced assembly under uniform and non-uniform power distribution conditions. In this study, the thermo-hydraulic characteristics of FPS are analyzed. ANSYS Fluent solver is applied with the COUPLE algorithm of RANS [[EQUATION]] model. Cheng&Tak correlation and computational conditions are implanted into Fluent in the form of UDFs. The results show that the RMSEs of ADP10SS1 and ADP10SS2 are 2.52 K and 3.69 K, 7.05 K and 8.48 K for ADP06SS1 and ADP06SS2, respectively, which indicate that the adopted models have good prediction ability for the temperature of the experimental conditions. Meanwhile, the heat transfer characteristics are investigated and compared with the correlations of Ushakov, Mikityuk, Kazimi and Carelli. Above all, this study provides quantitative and qualitative analysis for verification and validation of CFD/STH code and stand-alone CFD simulation. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Metamorphic testing is one of the effective methods to alleviate the test oracle problem. Metamorphic relation is the core of metamorphic testing, and there is no effective automatic identification technology. This paper transforms the metamorphic relation recognition issue into a symbolic expression regression problem. The test input pairs are generated using the preset input pattern, and the output pattern is mined by gene expression programming. After reduction and verification, a valid metamorphic relation is obtained. Experiments show that this method can identify the relation obtained by static analysis and a more significant number. At the same time, compared with existing technologies, it has apparent advantages in effectiveness, reliability, and performance. © 2022 IEEE.

Large-area flexible roll-out solar array system has huge application potential in space structure especially for the Space Solar Power system (SSPS) due to the advantages of the lightweight, high area to mass ratio, excellent folding and deployable capabilities. For SSPS to operate economically, solar array system must operate at power levels greater than MW, while the commercial SSPS should operate at power levels no less than GW. Therefore, advanced flexible solar array systems with areas up to 104 m2 and 107 m2 are essential. In this study, a modular large-area flexible roll-out solar array system with several subarrays is proposed, in which Composite lenticular boom is used as the load-carrying structure, and inflation constrained with Velcros is designed as the drive mechanism. The single array can be expanded to more than 1000 m2, while the specific power is expected to reach more than 500 W/kg. In this paper, structural dynamics, inflation deployment dynamics and on-orbit thermal performances of the subarray are analyzed, the result show that the proposed solar array system is reasonable and feasible for SSPS application. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system has been emerged as a crucial paradigm for addressing the growing demand of emerging wireless applications that require both ultra-reliable data transmission and high-precision sensing. However, due to the limited computation capability of ISAC devices, the large amount of collected sensing data is difficult to be timely processed. In this paper, we consider that the ISAC device can offload the sensing data to a group edge helper nodes via multi-access edge computing to improve the efficiency of sensing data processing. We propose a multi-access edge computing empowered ISAC with hybrid active and passive sensing, in which the ISAC device can perform passive sensing through the sensing reflected signal from the edge helper nodes while performing active sensing. To investigate this problem, we formulate a joint optimization of the transmit beamforming for active sensing, passive sensing and offloading, as well as the computation rates of both the ISAC device and the edge helper nodes, with the objective of maximizing the total computation rates for the sensing data. Despite the non-convexity of the formulated problem, we propose an efficient algorithm to obtain its solutions. Simulation results validate the performance advantages of our multi-access edge computing empowered integrated hybrid sensing and communication.

As the core equipment of AC power grids, the oil-paper insulation structure of power transformers is prone to accidents such as explosions and fires due to frequent partial discharges. In order to suppress the development of transformers to severe arc discharges and explore the dynamic evolution characteristics of partial discharges from the source, this paper builds an experimental platform for partial discharge image acquisition in oil from the perspective of morphological analysis. Based on a multi-scale retinal algorithm with grey-scale analysis, an enhancement processing algorithm for low-illumination discharge images was designed to extract a continuous discharge profile. The effect of the external applied voltage on the horizontal displacement and half-perimeter distortion of the discharge was then explored. The results show that the horizontal displacement of the discharge at low voltage levels is small and the aberrations are not obvious. At high voltage levels, the discharge horizontal displacement and morphological distortion jumped strongly, and the energy was not easily concentrated. The discharge in the transition stage is always maintained at a high energy level, instead showing the least number of discharges. © 2023 IEEE.
