T-QoS-aware based parallel ant colony algorithm for services composition

In order to make cloud users get credible, high-quality composition of services, the trust quality of service aware(TQoS-aware) based parallel ant colony algorithm is proposed. Our approach takes the service credibility as the weight of the quality of service, then calculates the trust service quality T-QoS for each service, making the service composition situated in a credible environment. Through the establishment on a per-service T-QoS initialization pheromone matrix, we can reduce the colony’s initial search time. By modifying the pheromone updating rules and introducing two ant colonies to search from different angles in parallel,we can avoid falling into the local optimal solution, and quickly find the optimal combination of global solutions. Experiments show that our approach can combine high-quality services and the improvement of the operational success rate. Also, the convergence rate and the accuracy of optimal combination are improved.

Due to a rapid increase in the number of functionally equivalent web services at open and dynamic Io T service environment,Qo S has become a major discrimination factor to reflect the user's expectation and experience of using a *** are different languages and models for expressing Qo S advertisements and requirements among service providers and ***,it leads to the issues of semantic interoperability of Qo S information and semantic similarity match between a semantic description of the service being requested by the service consumer,and a formal description of the service being offered by the service *** this paper,we propose a hierarchical two-layer semantic Qo S ontology to promote the description and declaration of Qo S-based service information in detail for any domain and ***,we develop a semantic matchmaking algorithm to compare the web services according to their Qo S information and adopt analytical hierarchy process( AHP) to make decision for the ranked services depending on the Qo S *** comparison study and experimental result show that our proposed system is superior to other service ranking approaches.

Load Balanced Coding Aware Multipath Routing for Wireless Mesh networks

The growth of network coding opportunities is considered the unique optimization goal by most current network coding based routing algorithms for wireless mesh networks. This usually results in flows aggregation problem in areas with coding opportunities, and degrades the network performance. This paper proposes a Load balanced coding aware multipath routing(LCMR)for wireless mesh networks. To facilitate the evaluation of discovered multiple paths and the tradeoffs between coding opportunity and load balancing, a novel routing metric, Load balanced coding aware routing metric(LCRM) is presented, which considers the load degree of nodes when detects coding opportunities. LCMR could spread traffic over multipath to further balance load. Simulation results demonstrate that LCMR could evenly spread the traffic over the network with increasing network throughput in a heavy load at the expense of some coding opportunities.

Bitcoin is the most popular decentralized digital currency now in use. Block chain is the basic technology of Bitcoin, providing a trustable ledger that can be publicly verified. Research on distributed applications based on block chain has become a new trend. We propose an electronic voting scheme based on block chain and prime numbers, which can support voting situations for multiple candidates. We design protocols for the Bitcoin voting situation, in which there are n voters and k candidates. Each voter will vote for one candidate. The proposed protocols could guarantee that the candidate who gets the majority voting wins the game and no individual voting information is disclosed. Due to the nature of the block chain, the voting results could not be tampered. It is transparent since the block chain is open to the public for verification. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2018.

MAFiS: maximum adjacent fingerprint similarity for accuracy enhancement of Wi-Fi neighbor matching

Wi-Fi received signal strength (RSS)-based neighbor matching is increasingly used to support a variety of pervasive computing applications. In this paper, we propose a new accuracy enhancement approach for neighbor matching by maximizing the similarity of RSS fingerprints at adjacent locations. First, to achieve the maximum adjacent fingerprint similarity (MAFiS), we eliminate singular samples from the raw fingerprint database by using the optimal elimination ratio (ER). Second, we rely on the corrected fingerprint database to construct a finer radio map of the interesting area. Third, when a location query arrives, we retrieve the radio map and find the matched fingerprint, as well as the estimated location. The localization results by using the RSS data recorded in an actual Wi-Fi area prove that our proposed MAFiS is helpful to enhance the accuracy of RSS-based neighbor matching in Wi-Fi environment. © 2014 Binary Information Press

In Internet of Things (IoT), the similar functional services are evolving in different quality of services (QoS) due to the widespread deployment of spatially distributed things on dynamic networks through the web. Therefore, the user involvement in service selection systems becomes a vital role to enhance the system performance by taking into account of subjective factors. This paper proposes a flexible QoS-based service selection algorithm (FQSA) which mainly targets to the users to be able to give their subjective preferences in an easy and friendly manner. The FQSA algorithm selects the services based on subjective information provided by the service consumers and objective information supported by the service providers. It adopts artificial neural network backpropagation algorithm to find the objective factors and applies similarity aggregation method to evaluate the creditability of the user subjective factors which have already been evaluated by ontological reasoning with the help of proposed QoS ontology. The comparative study and experimental results show that our FQSA algorithm is superior to other service selection approaches. © 2014 The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications.

This paper designs a new precoding for an OFDM system without cyclic prefix (CP), to achieve the same function with CP used in CP-OFDM system. After the analysis of CPOFDM system, this paper constructs a modulation matrix;on this basis, introduces memory characteristics, as well as symbols feedback, and designs a time domain precoding (TDP) module. By adding the TDP module into TD-LTE link, its bit error ratio (BER) performance decreases slightly, compared to the CP system;however, due to the new system, it does not need to send CP signals;therefore, it eliminates redundancy, so the bandwidth efficiency increases. © 2010 IEEE.

Anomaly detection is a common application of machine learning. Out-of-distribution (OOD) detection in particular is a semi-supervised anomaly detection technique where the detection method is trained only on the inlier (in-distribution) samples - unlike the fully supervised variant, the distribution of the outlier samples are never explicitly modeled in OOD detection tasks. In this work, we design a novel GAN-based OOD detection network specifically designed to protect a cyber-physical signal systems from novel Trojan malware called non-control data (NCD) attack that evades conventional malware detection techniques. Inspired in part by the classical locally most powerful (LMP) test in statistical inferences, the proposed LMP-GAN trains the OOD detector (discriminator) by generating OOD samples that are aimed at making maximal alteration to the inlier samples while evading detection. We experimentally compare the results to the state-of-the-art anomaly detection methods to demonstrate the benefits and the appropriateness of the LMP-GAN OOD detector. © 2025 IEEE.

Face Recognition Using Dense SIFT Feature Alignment

This paper addresses face recognition problem in a more challenging scenario where the training and test samples are both subject to the visual variations of poses, expressions and misalignments. We employ dense Scale-invariant feature transform(SIFT) feature matching as a generic transformation to roughly align training samples; and then identify input facial images via an improved sparse representation model based on the aligned training samples. Compared with previous methods, the extensive experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method for the task of face recognition on three benchmark datasets.

A QoS-aware routing algorithm based on ant-cluster in wireless multimedia sensor networks

QoS-aware routing algorithm is important in wireless multimedia sensor networks. This paper formulates a generalized QoS-aware routing model on the basis of multiple routing metrics and priorities of packets. We first introduce a 2D plain-based routing algorithm IPACR which improves the standard ant colony algorithm by optimizing the initial distribution of artificial pheromone in order to accelerate the algorithm convergence rate. Then a clustering-based routing algorithm ICACR is presented which can be well applied in a large scale network. ICACR is a variation of IPACR because it can be suitable for clustering cases to satisfy the larger scale situations. Both the numerical algorithm performance analysis and simulation of IPACR and ICACR are given. The results show that ICACR outperforms IPACR in terms of both network lifetime and QoS-aware routing metrics in large scale wireless multimedia sensor networks. Moreover, the simulation based on the real video traces shows that by extending the multi-path to ICACR for different priorities of video frames better performance can be achieved.
