Federated learning combines with fog computing to transform data sharing into model sharing, which solves the issues of data isolation and privacy disclosure in fog computing. However, existing studies focus on centralized single-layer aggregation federated learning architecture, which lack the consideration of cross-domain and asynchronous robustness of federated learning, and rarely integrate verification mechanisms from the perspective of incentives. To address the above challenges, we propose a Blockchain and Signcryption enabled Asynchronous Federated Learning(BSAFL) framework based on dual aggregation for cross-domain scenarios. In particular, we first design two types of signcryption schemes to secure the interaction and access control of collaborative learning between domains. Second, we construct a differential privacy approach that adaptively adjusts privacy budgets to ensure data privacy and local models' availability of intra-domain user. Furthermore, we propose an asynchronous aggregation solution that incorporates consensus verification and elastic participation using blockchain. Finally, security analysis demonstrates the security and privacy effectiveness of BSAFL, and the evaluation on real datasets further validates the high model accuracy and performance of BSAFL.

Average filtering plays a vital role in image smoothing tasks. However, existing quantum image weighted average filtering methods suffer from high circuit complexity. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved quantum color image weighted average filtering algorithm and its corresponding quantum circuit. First, we improve the quantum circuit to prepare classical color images into a quantum state. Then, an improved quantum divider is developed, and a weighted average filter is constructed using basic quantum image processing modules. Next, to enhance the universality of the filter, a quantum comparator with lower circuit complexity is used to design a noise detection module for distinguishing noise from real signals. Finally, a quantum circuit for color image weighted average filtering is designed, and simulations are conducted on the IBM Quantum Experience (IBM Q) platform to verify the feasibility of our algorithm. The analysis shows that compared with existing methods, this method significantly reduces the circuit complexity and has better filtering performance. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Enhancing graph representation learning via type-aware decoupling and node influence allocation

The traditional graph representation methods can fit the information of graph with low-dimensional vectors, but they cannot interpret their composition, resulting in insufficient security. Graph decoupling, as a method of graph representation, can analyze the latent factors composing the graph representation vectors. However, in current graph decoupling methods, the number of factors is a hyperparameter, and enforce uniform decoupling vector dimensions which leads to information loss or redundancy. To address these issues, we propose a type-aware graph decoupling based on influence called Variational Graph Decoupling Auto-Encoder (VGDAE). It uses node labels as interpretable and objectively existing natural semantics for decoupling and allocates embedding space based on node influence, addressing the issues of manually setting the number of factors in traditional graph decoupling and the mismatch between node information size and embedding space. On the Cora, Citeseer, and fb-CMU datasets, VGDAE shows the impact of different node classes as decoupling targets on classification tasks. Furthermore, we perform visualization of the representations, VGDAE exhibits performance improvements of 2% in classification tasks and 12% in clustering tasks when compared with baseline models. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

High mobility and non-independent and identically distributed (non-iid) data in the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) pose challenges for the convergence speed and accuracy of federated learning model training. Traditional federated learning approaches fail to account for the unique characteristics of local vehicle data, limiting the model performances. To address this, we propose a personalized hierarchical federated learning method tailored for heterogeneous IoV. Our approach customizes models for each vehicle, enhancing their performance on local data. We introduce a network-aware client selection method that dynamically chooses vehicle clients based on their spatiotemporal distribution and changing channel conditions. Additionally, our fine-grained personalized learning method leverages frequency domain analysis to extract and retain both fundamental and personalized knowledge from local model parameters. This allows us to build highly accurate personalized models suited to each vehicle's data characteristics. Experimental results show that our method improves model accuracy by up to 10.31% and reduces training time by up to 24.93% compared to the latest personalized federated learning algorithms. © 2025 IEEE.

Federated Learning (FL) is an advanced technology that tackles the challenge of blocked data arising from privacy concerns, enabling the training of deep learning models without the need for data sharing. However, FL faces difficulties with heterogeneous data and limited annotations in medical image segmentation. Motivated by this discovery, this study proposes a novel hybrid-supervised federated learning method (FedSLAG) that explores various types of annotations in medical imaging. To focus more on weakly-supervised and unsupervised scenarios within hybrid-supervised learning, a federated Gaussian enhancement module was proposed for heterogeneous sparse annotations (points and scribbles). The feature extraction module combines the features of multiple weakly-supervised clients and establishes the correlation of similar pixels, thus making up for the deficiency of scarce annotations and the insufficient feature extraction capability of a single machine. Then, a two-stage broadcast mechanism based on supervision sparsity was proposed to alleviate optimization deviation in local models. Experiments on breast tumor and skin lesion segmentation tasks demonstrate significant efficiency gains as well as highly competitive segmentation accuracy in many hybrid-supervised situations. Federated learning (FL) has been widely used in medical image processing to protect data privacy, but it has issues with data heterogeneity. Personalized federated learning have emerged to tackle these issues but often focuses too much on personalized models at the expense of global models. To address these problem, we propose a personalized federated learning method CoGAP, using collaborative optimization to enhance both personalized and global model performance. On the client side, it employs adaptive weight aggregation to initialize personalized models and uses a training strategy based on L2 regularization. On the server side, it implements a gradient accumulation-based aggregation method. These modules facilitate a collaborative optimization process where the global model guides the personalized models, and the personalized models provide positive feedback to the global model, ultimately leading to mutual improvement for both. We conducted extensive comparative experiments on the OCT2017 dataset, as well as the BloodMnist and PathMnist (subsets from MedMnist), to evaluate both global and personalized models. Results show that CoGAP own a unique strength which not only outperforms other personalized federated learning methods in personalization capability while also remarkably achieving satisfying global generalization. In order to study the characteristics of pure fly ash-based geopolymer concrete(PFGC)conveniently,we used a machine learning method that can quantify the perception of characteristics to predict its compressive *** this study,505 groups of data were collected,and a new database of compressive strength of PFGC was *** order to establish an accurate prediction model of compressive strength,five different types of machine learning networks were used for comparative *** five machine learning models all showed good compressive strength prediction performance on *** them,R2,MSE,RMSE and MAE of decision tree model(DT)are 0.99,1.58,1.25,and 0.25,*** R2,MSE,RMSE and MAE of random forest model(RF)are 0.97,5.17,2.27 and 1.38,*** two models have high prediction accuracy and outstanding generalization *** order to enhance the interpretability of model decision-making,we used importance ranking to obtain the perception of machine learning model to 13 *** 13 variables include chemical composition of fly ash(SiO_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3),Si/Al),the ratio of alkaline liquid to the binder,curing temperature,curing durations inside oven,fly ash dosage,fine aggregate dosage,coarse aggregate dosage,extra water dosage and sodium hydroxide *** temperature,specimen ages and curing durations inside oven have the greatest influence on the prediction results,indicating that curing conditions have more prominent influence on the compressive strength of PFGC than ordinary Portland cement *** importance of curing conditions of PFGC even exceeds that of the concrete mix proportion,due to the low reactivity of pure fly ash.

Unsigned Road Incidents Detection Using Improved RESNET From Driver-View Images

Frequent road incidents cause significant physical harm and economic losses globally. The key to ensuring road safety lies in accurately perceiving surrounding road incidents. However, the highly dynamic nature of traffic introduces significant challenges, particularly in detecting sudden and temporary incidents. In this article, we propose a novel detection framework, multihead attention ResNet with dynamic bottleneck (DB_RESNET_MHA), to identify physical unsigned road incidents. Our approach introduces three key innovations. First, we develop a tailored data augmentation strategy to create images that closely mimic the complex variations found in real-world road environments. Second, we enhance model expressiveness by employing attention mechanisms to nonlinearly integrate convolutional kernels within the residual network. Furthermore, we refine the prediction head by applying spatially distinct attention weights, enabling the model to capture intricate correlations between different features more effectively. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our method, we create a dataset for unsigned road incidents (UnsignRI), comprising a total of 16 323 images that capture 12 distinct types of incidents. It stands out as the most comprehensive dataset in the field, encompassing a wide range of geographical features and incident categories. Experimental results show that DB_RESNET_MHA achieves an average accuracy of 96.2% and a f1-score of 0.955 across various categories of unsigned incidents, surpassing other models. © 2020 IEEE.
