Concrete has been criticized more recently because of the greenhouse gas (carbon dioxide) emissions it produces in the cement portland production process. With these considerations, a new concrete binder called geopolymer concrete was developed. One of the materials used in the manufacture of geopolymer concrete is fly ash. Using fly ash as a substitute for cement is considered to be able to preserve the environment and reduce development costs. In this study, the specimen used was cylindrical, with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm. The concrete compressive strength test was carried out at the age of 28 days. Variations in concrete testing include: Test the strength of the concrete on the variation of the binder ratio: coarse aggregate of 20%:80%, 25%:75%, 30%:70%, 35%:75% 40%:60% and the variation of stirring time 5 minutes, 7.5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes. From the test results, it can be concluded that the optimum mixing time for the concrete mix is 7.5 minutes. If it is less than 7.5 minutes it will result in less than maximum binder binding power. And if the mixing time is more than 7.5 minutes it will decrease the adhesion of the binder. Regarding the variation of concrete on the amount of use of fly ash, it can be concluded that the higher the fly ash content, there is a tendency for low compressive strength, this is due to the influence of the water content used in the mixture is obtained based on the weight of fly ash in each variation. So if the weight of fly ash is higher, the water demand will also be higher and it will result in too dilute fresh concrete, so that the compressive strength of the concrete decreases. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The main road that connects the city of Sidoarjo to Surabaya is the intersection of Gedangan. By 2018 it has reached saturation by having a poor service level. More severe conditions will occur in the next 10-20 years. One of the government's efforts to overcome the problem of congestion, damage structure is the construction of flyover or other alternatives by widening the road. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of the traffic and to save vehicle operating costs before and after the construction of a flyover at the Gedangan intersection. The method for predicting Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) is to use PCI method. This study predicts Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) to determine cost savings. The scenario for predicting BOK is that 80% of the vehicle volume will pass the Fly Over, and 20% still use the existing road. The results showed that the cost savings of Vehicle Operational Costs (BOK) of existing roads compared to the use of flyover in 2019 was IDR 15 Billion. In 2039 the savings are IDR 77 Billion. Another discussion is that if the road is only widened without flyover, then the BOK cost savings in 2019 will be IDR 4 Billion and in 2039 it will be IDR 27 Billion. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The inclusion of rainwater often compounds the damage to the road before reaching the plan life through the surface and shoulders of roads. This can lead to the release of aggregates and exfoliation of asphalt on the surface layer. The study aims to determine the level of road durability against the Marshall, volumetric, and durability properties of the HRS-WC mixture. The study used various static loading 100 Kpa, 150 Kpa, and 200 Kpa with immersion. In the immersion method, there are two differences, namely, immersion with and immersion without loading. The test objects' loading using a simple and economical test tool utilizes the beams and iron cylinders obtained from the laboratory, testing using Marshall Test. The results of the analysis obtained the durability of unloading soaked value higher than the load. The analysis results showed that the durability of the mixture was soaked seven days with a load of 100 KPa was 77.40%, for 150 Kpa amounted to 52.02%, and for 200 KPa, which is 47.67%. Analysis results showed a 7-day immersion value with a cumulative load of 68.38%, while analysis results showed a seven day immersion value with periodic loading of 75.43%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Nanotechnology has been growing rapidly for the past decade. Nano Silica have also received much attention because of its great capability of thermal that can be used in various fields like chromatography, cosmetics, medicine, drugs, agriculture and optics. This paper then conducts literature review on the synthesis of nano silica materials from waste materials abundantly available such as fly ash and rice husk, especially using two popular synthesis methods namely sol-gel method and the alkali fusion method. In conclusion, despite utilizing waste materials, the results showed that those methods can produce nano silica with high-purity level. Additionally, compared to alkali fusion, the sol-gel method is considered better technique due to its simpler process, low-temperature need, and controllable morphology of nano silica. Therefore, sol gel method has been extensively applied to produce nano silica particle. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The incorporation of information and communication technology (ICT) to improve infrastructure and establish a efficient and responsive environment is a key element of Denpasar Citys ambition to evolve into a Smart City. This research delves into the utilization of E Government, via the Dama Mandala app underscoring its significance in this transition. Through surveys and interviews employing a methodology the study demonstrates that the Dama Mandala app has greatly enriched the lives of Denpasar Citys inhabitants by granting them access to government services and information online. These results imply that the app plays a role, in realizing Denpasar Citys aspiration of becoming a culture oriented Smart City advancing towards the vision of Denpasar Maju. © 2024 IEEE.

Pedestrians who cross without any crossing facilities and under mixed-traffic tend to have varying responses. The responses can be analyzed by using multiple linear regression model, with pedestrian crossing delay and pedestrian crossing speed set as response variables. This research aims to develop two pedestrian crossing models based on the condition at the midblock part of urban street, in particular commercial area and without specific crossing facilities. The two models are pedestrian crossing delay model and pedestrian crossing speed model. The affecting factors are considered in linear relationship and the multiple-linear regression models are used. The principal factor in the pedestrian crossing delay model is group size of more than 3 persons, while in the model of pedestrian crossing speed, the principal factors are number of group size and pedestrian baggage. The mean of pedestrian crossing delay was about 3 seconds while pedestrian crossing speed was about 1 m/s. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

The foundation erection work is a job that has a high enough complexity. In making the decision of the type of pile and the method of erection, practitioners have many choices with various conditions in the field. Decision making will result in an impact during the foundation erection process. This study aims to analyze what are the impacts caused by the choice of pole type and piling method. A preliminary survey was conducted together with four experts to verify and reduce the 11 impact indicators obtained from the literature study, obtained 6 impact indicators which are quite relevant according to experts and will be used in the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey was conducted on 45 practitioner respondents who had carried out foundation building work. Data analysis validity and reliability tests were carried out on the questionnaire data. It was concluded that there were three main impacts that occurred due to the choice of the type of foundation pile and the piling method, namely environmental impact, economic impact, and social impact. The main impacts are broken down into six impacts including the use of fuel, ground vibration, fuel and material costs, equipment and labor costs, workplace safety, and noise. © Published under licence by IOPPublishing Ltd.

Timeliness of implementation is one of the variables in the implementation of construction projects. Evaluation and acceleration of delays projects will generally affect the use of project resources. Project delays can be overcome by making efforts, among others, with the Crashing Method which will affect various alternative costs resulting from Crashing. This study aims to understand that the delay in the construction project schedule will have an impact on the new schedule and the impact of costs that occur due to the acceleration carried out so that the project life is in accordance with the plan. Furthermore, it was analyzed for the need for additional workforce groups or only to maintain the addition of overtime. This research was conducted with descriptive analytic method, which is a research that will explain the conditions in the field in detail about project schedule delays by analyzing the magnitude of escalation of labor costs due to the acceleration of the duration of each activity so that the project schedule returns to the plan age. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Undershot waterwheels have been used by the people in rural areas to lift and distribute the water to the bottom which is higher than the water source. Waterwheels has a relatively simple design, large diameter, high speed and high torque. But applying it as a microhydro with high speed and small diameter still has to be explored. Waterwheels can operate efficiently in locations with high flow speeds. The Waterwheel functions from a waterwheel blade as a place to ride water so that the wheel can spin. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the higher the flow of water with a large number of buckets, the speed of rotation of the wheel will be slower. Conversely, the lower the flow of water with the number of buckets a little then the spinning wheel is faster. © 2019 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland. All rights reserved.

This study focused on the modulus of rupture (MOR) for high strength self-compacting concrete (SCC) using varied metakaolin (MK) composition. The MOR significantly contributes to the resilience and mechanical performance of the rigid pavement, and is enhanced by modifying the regular concrete material. In addition, the MK is known to be potentially economical and occurs abundantly as natural resources. Plain concrete beams with dimensions 400 x 100 x 100 mm3, were tested in the laboratory in an effort to measure the MOR from varied MK composition for each specimen or modified concrete type. The result showed the MOR increase is exclusively as a result of additional metakaolin. Also, the newly modified material was proven to offer more advantages when applied as rigid pavement material. Furthermore, the analytical laboratory result showed the optimum MK dosage was estimated at 20% of the binder weight. This subsequently enhances the MOR by 17.28% compared to non-MK concrete. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
