Comparison Analysis Operastional Cost of Vehicle (VOC) Between Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung Toll Road Plan with Existing Road

South Sumatra is one of the provinces whose development is very rapid in Indonesia. With the increasing development of centers of economic activity, politics, socio-culture and education make it an attraction for residents outside the city to travel to Palembang City. However, the condition of the eksisting highway which has become the driver's mainstay for travelling are not free of congestion. This causes travel time and Vehicle operational costs increase for every vehicle that passes the road. To overcome this problem, the government brought investors to build a toll road. The results of preliminary research show that people are still confused about the benefits through toll roads which are built besides travel time faster because they have to spend money to pay tolls. The main objective of this study was to determine the vehicle operating costs (VOC) using both roads with the Pacific Consultant International Method (PCI) and Industrial and Affiliate Research, Bandung Institute of Technology (LAPI ITB). Variable of the equation to determine the cost components is travel speed determined the Floating Car Method. The results show that the operational costs of vehicles (VOC) through toll roads are smaller when compared with existing roads. VOC of passenger cars that pass through the existing road in the morning Rp. 3395.45, trucks 2 axles loaded Rp. 5570.55 and trucks 2 axles with no payload of Rp. 3815.00, while if through toll road, passenger cars Rp. 2618.82 and trucks 2 axles Rp. 2918.71. In addition, information is obtained, more than 90% of drivers only consider fuel costs, they do not consider the cost of other variable variables in choosing a route.

The static cone penetration test (s-CPT), or better known in Indonesia as the sondir, has been used as a soil investigation procedure since nearly half a century ago in Europe, especially in the Netherlands and Belgium. This s-CPT is one of the standard practices in soil investigation campaigns and can provide many soil engineering parameters, including soil bearing capacity. This study focuses on the soil bearing capacity analysis in the city of Banda Aceh on the data taken from the 35 points of s-CPT. The analysis of the soil bearing capacity at a depth of 1.4 meters and 2.4 meters below the existing ground level (mbgl) was carried out. Dominantly, at a depth of 1.4 mbgl at the research location, it has a low bearing capacity (<2.5 tons/m2) with a percentage of 91.43%. There are 2.86% for bearing capacity from 2.5 to 5 tons/m2, from 5 to 7.5 tons/m2, and from 7.5 to 10 tons/m2. No soil layer had a bearing capacity above 10 tons/m2. At a depth of 2.4 mbgl, the research location has a low bearing capacity (<2.5 tons/m2) with a percentage of 48.57%, for bearing capacity ranging from 2.5 to 5 tons/m2 is 17.14%, for bearing capacity of 5 to 7.5 tons/m2 is 2.86%, for bearing capacity of 7.5 to 10 tons/m2 of 5.71% and bearing capacity above 10 tons/m2 is 25.71%.

Analysis of number of fruit loss in the fruit distribution process: Case study of banana fruit

Banana fruit has the highest production rate in Indonesia with a total production of 7.01 million tons/year. However, the amount of fruit waste from the supply chain that supports the production is still uncertain. This study is aimed to analyze the production of fruit waste from the distribution process and to provide some suggestions in optimizing the its process. Data were obtained through direct sampling on three stages i.e. farmers, wholesalers, and retailers. The parameters analyzed temperature, humidity, and waste generation. The results showed that farmers did not produce waste because all the postharvest fruits were sold to the wholesalers. The wholesalers generated average waste 1.98% per total inventory. The retailers produced 2 types of waste from transportation with the average waste generation of 0.67% per total inventory, and daily waste with the average generation of 2.53% per total inventory. Based on this study, improvement in handling systems at distribution process are needed to prevent waste generation. The implementation of countermeasures is also needed by applying the circular economy to improve the efficiency, minimize the waste generation, and improve the profits. The potential actions than can be implemented are utilizing the waste for animal feed and composting.

The effect of sea water soak on asphalt porous characteristics with and without waste of rubber tire waste as an asphalt addictive

The use of rubber tire scraded in the developement of porous asphalt technology as a part of flexible pavement aims to minimize the adverse effects of transportation facilities. The use of rubber tire scraded as an asphalt modifier in the pavement can provide several benefits, including reducing reflective cracking on overlays, reducing maintenance cost, increaseing resistance to new pavement cracking and rutting, increasing skid resistance an pavement age. This paper presents laboratory investigation on the effect of seawater immersion on porous asphalt performance using rubber tire scraded. Method use in laboratory investigation is based on AAPA 2004 and Bina Marga 2010. The results showed the permeability all types of mixture indicator 'moderate drainage'. The results of testing the Marshall characteristics showed a decrease in the value of stability, flow, and MQ in the porous asphalt mixture with Pen 60/70 asphalt and rubber asphalt as the duration of sea water immersion increased. The porous asphalt mixture using Pen 60/70 asphalt and rubber asphalt has Index of Retained Strength values which tend to decrease with increasing sea water immersion duration. Indirect Tensile Stength test results due to seawater submersion indicate a decrease in ITS value in porous asphalt mixtures with Pen 60/70 asphalt and rubber asphalt. The Cantabro test results showed an increase along with the increasing duration of seawater immersion.

Aceh Government is trying to plan the integrated transportation system. Aceh Government has planned the construction of 6 Corridors of Trans Koetaradja Bus, some of them are Corridors II A and II B. The previous public transport cannot accommodate the transportation service needs of the route of Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport - city center - Ulee Lheue Crossing Port. However, currently, the Banda Aceh Trans Koetaradja Public Bus Transportation is projected to be able to improve the services optimally. The purpose of this study is to assess the level of performance and to improve the quality of the service up to the customers' satisfaction expectations. The method of this research comprises the survey, which is sampling Kouto and distributing questionnaires and data analysis. The questionnaire distribution uses statistic test method and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) through the SERVQUAL approach, namely: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence. The result of the study is that the current performance of the services of Trans Koetaradja public bus transportation is rated as good; the importance of the service regarding the customers' expectation is rated good; the quality of service provided to customers is rated 94.52%. The conclusion of this study is that there are several shortages of transportation performance, such as the timeliness of arrival, waiting time at bus stops, passenger assistance, and available seats.

Landfill is one of the important needs that must be provided and considered by a District. Nowadays, in Banyuwangi Regency already had one site of the landfill, but1.5 Ha site of this landfill could only accommodate wastes from 13 areas in Banyuwangi Regency. Bulusan landfill has currently exceeded the limit so it needed a new landfill. It was truly difficult to choose the new location for landfill if it had togo through a measurements field and check in every indicator session directly, so by using Geographic Information System (GIS) application, the selection of the location of landfill will be helped by using this system in terms of time, cost and energy with an effective and efficient process, and an optimal results. This research aimed to determine the candidate of location replacement of the Bulusan landfill that appropriate to Indonesia's National Standards (SNI) No. 19-3241-1994 with Geographic Information System (GIS) help. The process of determining landfill candidate used a scoring method by using Geographic Information System (GIS) to search certain areas that decent to be the location of the landfill. The selection of landfill area consisted of 3 stages namely regional stage, allowance stage, and determination stage. In the regional stage, there were 10 candidates as the recommended location with the highest overlay score. Then, it continued to the allowance stage. In this stage, the highest score of 10 recommended locations would be chosen. The final stage was the determination stage, which was one of the new landfill location decided. As the result, the appropriate recommendation for the replacement candidate of Bulusan landfill was Location Candidate number VII which was located in Ketapang Village, Kalipuro sub-regency with area 0.4641 km 2 or 46.41 Ha.

Durability of Reactive Powder Concrete

Concrete is a generally used material in building construction. The construction will be built on the ground and could also be in places exposed to sea water. Sulfate contained in ground water and sea water could cause sulfate aggression to concrete itself. Therefore, the research used Reactive Powder Concrete which is one of the concretes that is currently popular and has a high durability. The research was done by doing a constant repetition of saturated sulfate submersion and specimen abstersion. The varieties of specimen used along with the research such as Type I, Type II, and PCC variations of cements, also varieties fas 0.2 and fas 0.25. Research shown that Reactive Powder Concrete which is contained type II cement has the best resistance because the compressive strength does not reduced to 30% and the reduced weight is less than 1% when exposed to high concentration of sulfate.

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is a navigation system that uses satellite signals to determine its position, which consists of several satellites arranged in a constellation system. GNSS transmits signals to receivers on Earth. The GNSS receiver determines the user's position, speed, and time by processing the signals transmitted by the satellites. The initial purpose of launching the GNSS was for navigation purposes, but along with its development, GNSS can be used for the purposes of observing deformation of the earth's crust and in studying the atmosphere. The delayed wave data when passing through the ionosphere can be used to obtain Total Electron Content (TEC) values which then used to study ionospheric disturbances. Ionospheric disturbances are caused by various phenomena, the most common one is the ionospheric disturbances caused by the induction of acoustic and gravitational waves excited by co seismic crustal motions from large earthquakes. Ionospheric disturbances that happened before an earthquake are called Pre-seismic Ionospheric Disturbances and those that occur after an earthquake are called Co-seismic Ionospheric Disturbances (CID). Most studies of ionospheric disturbances still provide information on the timing and value of TEC anomalies in 2D form. Therefore, in this study, a 3D ionosphere profile modelling using computed 3D tomography will be carried out. The 3D information provided is in the form of time, ionosphere altitude and TEC anomaly value by utilizing GNSS data. The TEC anomaly value is obtained from the calculation of linear combination of the ionosphere. This study aims to obtain a spatial and temporal analysis of the CID caused by the West Sumatra Earthquake on March 2, 2016.

The utilization of hydroxylsodalite synthesized from coal fly ash for zinc removal in acid mine drainage

One of the alternative solution to reduce ash waste in landfills is by utilizing coal fly ash for the removal of metal ion in wastewater, especially acid mine drainage (AMD). In this study, zeolite was synthesized from coal fly ash using a two-step method, hydrothermal and fusion method. The coal fly ash and the zeolite product were characterized physically and were used for the removal of Zn2+ in AMD. The adsorption experiment was carried out using batch method in synthetic AMD solution to study the influential parameters such as adsorbent dosage, contact time, adsorbent isotherms and kinetics. The zeolite synthesized in this study resulting hydroxylsodalite zeolite type, which increases the surface area. It was revealed from the adsorption experiment that the removal efficiency of Zn2+ was 93.47% under the conditions of pH ± 3, initial concentration Zn2+ 100 ppm, optimum contact time 120 minutes, and adsorbent dose 6 g/L. Furthermore, the Langmuir isotherm model and the kinetics model of pseudo-second-order fitted the adsorption data better, with the maximum sorption capacity of 27.32 mg/g. The result of this study indicate hydroxylsodalite synthesized from coal fly ash has great potential as an economical and sustainable material for the removal of metal ion Zn2+ in wastewater.

Floor Slab Analysis (Case study: One Residence Apartment Batam Center)

Reinforced concrete slab are widely used in civil buildings, including as building floors, roof floors, bridge floors and dock floors. The load acting on the slab is generally calculated against gravitational loads. This study aims to analyse floor slab in One Residence Batam Center Apartment Construction Project. The moment method is used to predict the magnitude of frame and shrinkage values that refer to 2002 of SNI. Loading is carried out from dead loads and live loads with a two-way reinforcement system. Reinforcement is done using steel with a diameter of 10 mm. So that the minimum area is 313 mm square with a distance of 250 mm and is in the safe category. From the calculation results obtained the concrete elastic modulus obtained by 250 MPa with a reinforcement ratio of 0.0025. Checking the time dependency factor for dead loads is carried out within 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and more than 5 years. Long-term deflection due to frame and shrinkage is still in the safe category.
