In an ordinary theory mentioning that Bored pile type is non-displacement pile instead of driven pile as displacement type. To change the bored pile become displacement type, need an effort to displace surrounding soil in the vicinity of bored pile, the compaction of concrete during installation is one of the solution. During compaction, the soil displaced and excess pore water pressure increase, then by allowing pore water pressure to dissipate, the ground improvement is happening. The modelling of pile loading test (PLT) were carried out in various w/c ratio in ambient condition on first liquidity index (LI1), LI2 and LI3, The direct shear test (DST) of clay soil (at LI1, LI2 and LI3) and at combination of clay + cement mortar at various w/c ratio were also carried out to encourage and endorse the simulation work. The ground improvement occurs as a results of : 1. Chemical reaction between cement and clay, 2. Enlargement of slip surface diameter at the interface between soil-soil cement mix hardened, 3. Increasing effective stress as an effect of allowing pore water pressure dissipation after compaction. This stabilization produce increasing strength properties up to 75 % at the optimum w/c ratio 0,4. Based on this findings, it recommends to include the ground improvement effect to bored pile foundation. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Pagar Alam city is one of districts in South Sumatera province that has an area of ± 63,366 hectares (Monograph of the city of Pagaralam, 2013). So far, the people of Pagar Alam city, especially the north Pagar Alam district, have no reference to determine the soil type of its area;therefore this study carried out an analysis of the soil characteristics and conducted a mapping of its types of characteristics and the soil water content in the north Pagar Alam district.A geomap is a map that depicts existing image of the earth's surface which is represented on a flat surface in a certain projection. Geomapping is a process of measuring, calculating and depicting the earth's surface using certain methods. Soil is the surface layer of the earth that comes from parent material that has undergone an advanced process, due to natural changes under the influence of water, air, and various kinds of organisms, both living and dead (Dokuchaev 1870).After conducting 20 soil sample tests, it can be seen from the interpolated and overlayed sub-district map that the land in North Pagar Alam district has sandy silt soil where 19.69 km2 of the area has good grades of the soil and the other23.90 km2 of the area consists of poorly graded sand. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This research focuses on Sanur Harbor, an inter-island ferry port located in southern Bali. The majority of visitors to Sanur Harbor are tourists who want to travel to Nusa Penida Island. At this port, facilities are available in the form of a Public Address System (PAS) and Information officers whose job is to provide information regarding the arrival and departure of ships. However, the effectiveness of this facility is limited for deaf people. Deaf people often have difficulty getting this information independently and often have to rely on manual assistance from officers. This research aims to develop software based on sign language video integration which aims to increase the accessibility of departure and arrival information at Sanur Harbor for deaf people in Bali. The software development method uses a user-centered design development approach which involves the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation. Sign language videos will be integrated into the software as a medium to convey important information about ship departure and arrival schedules, travel routes, pier names, fast boat names, and other important information to deaf users. Evaluation is carried out through user testing and collecting feedback from users regarding understandability, usability, and user satisfaction with the software being developed. It is hoped that the results of this research can make a positive contribution to increasing information accessibility for deaf people in Sanur Harbor and can become a basis for developing similar technology in other locations. © 2024 IEEE.

Bioretention is one of the stormwater runoff managements to reduce pollutant concentration such as heavy metals and ammonia. However, removal efficiency of bioretention was affected by variation of filter media. So, the aims of this study are to enhance removal efficiency of bioretention system. Three bioretention system were applied on pilot scale sized 30 × 30 × 80 cm3 combined with Iris pseudacorus. Variation of filter media composition of quartz sand and zeolite was used with ratio 1:3, 1:1, 3:1, on reactor 1, 2 and 3, respectively. Synthetic runoff water with different concentration were simulated. The results shown that variations in influent concentrations has small effect on the removal efficiency (20-40%). The average removal efficiency of bioretention 1, 2 and 3 for Pb was 91%, 78%, 83%, respectively, followed 88%, 95%, 94% for Zn and 97%, 98%, 96% for NH3. The combination of quartz sand and zeolite as filter media significantly enhance removal efficiency by 11,5% for NH3, 18% Pb and 20% Zn compared to previous similar research. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Merdeka 2 Material Recovery Facility (MRF) is an organic waste management facility located in West Java. MRF also produces leachate water which came from organic waste that could potentially pollute shallow groundwater around the facility. Purpose of this study is to obtain knowledge regarding amount of MRF's waste intake and composition, composition of leachate water that came from the waste, and the groundwater quality around MRF with parameters including pH, temperature, BOD, COD, Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonia, KMnO4, Iron (Fe), and Fecal Coliform. Quality of the groundwater was analysed by knowing pollution rate based on pollution index and its association with distance variation from MRF. Results showed that amount waste that came to the facility is 0.954 ton/day with an average of waste volume 1449.20 l/day and consists of 93.4% organic waste and 6.4% non-organic waste. For MRF's leachate water quality showed that pH, temperature, BOD and COD parameters exceeded over required standard. Shallow groundwater around MRF showed that average rate of pH, BOD, COD, Nitrate parameters is still above required standard and other parameters average is still in required standard and there is no significant correlation between distance variation with the groundwater. It can be concluded that the pollution index of the local's shallow groundwater fall into low to mid polluted category. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Information technology plays an essential role in the business world because it may affect the operations of the organization within the organization that also uses information technology to provide information. One of the departments that use information technology is the Information engineering Department of Musamus Merauke University, which is used to provide information related to the Department of Information engineering. But in the use of information technology is still flawed. Therefore, it is necessary to have a standard in information technology management to measure overall standards and governance in information technology management, ie using COBIT. Based on this study, we will design an information technology management model for the Department of Information engineering. Control objectives for information and related technologies (COBIT) are 4 (4) primary domains, including domains, planning, and organization (PO), acquisition and implementation (AI), transmission and support (DS) and tracking. And evaluating (ME) in research. This will use two domains, namely the delivery domain and support (DS) and monitoring and evaluation (ME) by adjusting the problems and requirements of the information engineering department in the arrangement. Information technology support for information technology service processes and support for monitoring and evaluation of information technology, the results showed that the level of maturity of information technology supervision in the information engineering department is at level 2. Concrete properties change when it is exposed to high temperature. Fire can reduce the strength and the stiffness of the concrete. Another visible thing is the change in the color of the concrete. Furthermore, a decrease in the alkaline degree of concrete can also occur at high temperatures. This study combines quantifying the value of the color change, quantifying the alkaline level, and evaluating the residual strength of post-fire concrete. Two concrete grades were prepared: 25 and 45 MPa and exposed to a high temperature of 300 and 700 ℃. The amount of 1.8, 2 and 2.5 kg/m3 of polypropylene fiber were added to the concrete. According to the temperature rise analysis, the farther the position from the concrete surface causes a decrease in temperature. The 2.5 kg/m3 fiber content shows more excellent post-fire mechanical performance because it provides the pores needed by concrete when water vapor pressure occurs due to high temperature;therefore, cracks in the cement paste can be avoided. Visually, the color change between grade 25 and 45 MPa are the same in each temperature;however, they have different coordinates as observed by the color test. Furthermore, the addition of 2.5 kg/m3 fiber to the concrete contributes a superior effect to prevent the decrease of the alkaline level during the fire. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Project is a set of interrelated activities and requires skills from different professions, and also project is involved the various of stakeholders in each phase of the Project Life Cycle. Implementation of Green Supply Chain in construction projects meant to bring the concept of eco-friendly in every process from the initiation phase, planning phase, the construction phase, and the operation and maintenance phase. It is necessary to identify indicators of green initiation and green design and how to explain the relationship between the role of initiation by the owner and the design process by a design consultant. This study aims to identify the indicators of green initiation and green design concept as part of Green Supply Chain. The method used for this study is a descriptive research that identifies and develop a framework for implementing green initiation and green design in construction industry that consists of concept, dimensions, elements, and indicators. GSCM in construction projects was determined by 9 indicators in the green initiation phase and 40 indicators in the green design phase. The success of green concept in construction project is very determined from these two phases as the beginning of the process, and the most important parties are the owners and design consultants. © 2019 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

The title of this study is «Compression Strength Testing Model on Clay Soil Stabilization Using Variations of Cement Composition». The focus of this test is the addition of different compositions of cement and clay. Composition of this test is 100% soil + 0% cement, 70% soil + 30% cement, 50% soil + 50% cement and 30% soil + 70% cement. The next stage of drying is done for 0 days, 5 days, 10 days, 15 days and 20 days. The test is performed by unconfined compression test machine for each sample dried within the time specified above. The cement used is Portland composite cement type (Portlant Cement Composite / PCC). The conclusion is obtained from the results of tests that have been done that the soil composition of 100% + 0% cement land indicates if the longer drained the value of the compressive strength will decrease. However, in the other composition 70% of soil + 30% cement, 50% soil + 50% cement and 30% soil + 70% cement show that the longer drying is done for each composition the relationship between strain and stress shows an increase along with the duration of drying done. However, if analyzed for the largest compressive strength value of this test was found in the 50% + 50% cement sample showing the largest compressive strength (qu) compared with the other samples. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Higher concentration of nutrients has been characterized from office buildings compared to domestic wastewater. A Modified Septic Tank (MST), which consists of anoxic conditions followed by a Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) is proposed to treat office wastewater. This research investigated the effect of Recirculation Ratio (RR) on organic and nutrient removal in MST. The synthetic wastewater with COD: TN: TP (252:85:3), which is similar to actual office wastewater was used. The experimental data were obtained from three RR values (2, 3 and 4). The results showed COD, TN, NH4, and TP removal ranged from 88% to 90%, 64% to 78%, 68% to 86%, and 56% to 64%, respectively. The effluent concentrations of COD and NH4 ranged from 21 to 30 and 9 to 23 mg/L after applying RR and from 19 to 24 and 27 to 29 mg/L without RR, respectively. RR had the significant effect on organic and nutritional removal (p 4 in the effluent needs to be considered. © 2020 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.
