The framework of the peanut shelling machine functions as a supporting structure for the components of the peanut shelling machine, namely the top funnel, funnel retaining frame, the lid on the peeler shaft, pulley, sieve shaft, sieve, engine body. Frame material is mild steel equal leg angles size 45 x 45 x 5, yield strength is 3,002E + 04 psi and tensile strength is 5.004E + 04 psi. Skeletal strength analysis was carried out using the autodesk inventor professional 2015 software. The engine frame was given axial loading of 500 N, 600 N, 700 N, 800 N, 900 N, and 1000 N. The analysis results of the maximum stress occur at 1000 N loading, amount to 16.85 Mpy, and the maximum deformation occurs at 1000 N loading, amounting to 0.07727 mm. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. Determination of intrinsic permeability for packed waste of Indonesian solid waste

Gas permeability and intrinsic permeability are the major parameters to promote aeration for packed waste. The objectives of this research are to identify physical parameters of gas transfer from a various type of packed wastes and examine ventilation design theory for landfill to enhance waste stabilization. Method to determine value of gas permeability and intrinsic permeability for packed waste is by flushing the packed column containing various type and physical characteristics of wastes with an air pump. Permeability was calculated by measuring pressure gradient on sampling points of the column using inclined manometer at distance 10 cm, 23 cm, 46 cm, 69 cm, 92 cm and 115 cm from origin. Gas permeability is specifically relied on physical parameters of wastes as follows, density, moisture content, particle size and gas velocity on the surface of compacted waste layer. Compost has finer pore structure and smaller pore size than leaves as well as mixed organic (65%) and inorganic wastes (35%). The experiment found the intrinsic permeability of leaves waste are in the order of 10-11 to 10-8 m2, 10-11 to 10-9 m2 for compost and 10-9 m2 for mixed organic (65%) and inorganic wastes (35%).

This study examines the influence of low-rise structure orientations on tsunami-induced impact force. The particular focus is on low-rise structures since these often make up the majority of building stock in tsunami prone areas and are usually most vulnerable. The meshless method smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) is used for simulating the tsunami flow. Multiple cube structures named A, B and C were arranged at different angles of rotation and were situated on a flat shore. Four cases were simulated with variation on the number of structures and orientation toward the tsunami direction. Case 1 comprises a single structure (SS) C without rotation (R=0°) and used as the baseline, Case 2 contains multiple structures (MS) A, B and C without rotation (R=0°), Case 3 includes multiple structures (MS) A, B and C with 30° rotation (R=30°), and Case 4 consist of multiple structures (MS) A, B and C with 45° rotation (R=45°). The simulations show that for a 2-solitary wave train the front structures generated a flow focusing effect that accelerated the bore velocity. The orientation of the multiple structures to the direction of the oncoming tsunami bore significantly affected the magnitude of the applied force, where the most effective structure orientation is provided by the 45-degree rotation. The results of this study emphasize the potential for improving tsunami resilience through appropriate positioning of structures. Importantly, such large reductions in force may provide an economic solution to building resilience in developing countries prone to tsunamis. © 2020 American Society of civil Engineers (ASCE). Purnama Beach is located along the village of Gelumpang Sukawati Village as the part of Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency. The majority of the population of Sukawati Village are Hindus who have many religious events especially related to the beach. The most frequently held ceremony at Purnama Beach is Tawur Agung Kesanga or Melasti ceremony, where Purnama Beach is used as the destination for a Melasti ceremony held by several areas around Sukawati District. The purpose of this study is (1) to identify the typology of spatial utilization in Purnama Beach area, (2) to formulate the various interests (actors) involved in Purnama Beach area, (3) to formulate the various functional changes that occur in the utilization of Purnama Beach area, (4) to identify the territories or zoning in Er Jeruk Temple, and (5) to formulate the various impacts that occur due to changes in the function of Purnama Beach area. So that this study can provide recommendations to mediate dualism conflicts in the use of sacred areas in Bali. It is expected to be useful in supporting regional spatial policies and sustainable tourism development. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Pedestrian path is an important element for outdoor activities in urban environment, as well as in campus area. Yogyakarta State University (YSU) is a campus which is still in progress to develop its physical environment, includes pedestrian areas. The research aims to study student's perceptions in using pedestrian path in campus area, especially in comfort aspects (direct route, line safety, and line clarity). This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by giving questionnaires using google form application to students. As a result, it is concluded three comfort indicators of student's perception on their campus pedestrian. First, the degree of achievement for experience indicators is 70.61%;it means that the experience indicators giving a good influence on the perceptions of YSU students. Second, the indicator of attraction is 80.85%, shows a very good influence on the perception of the students. Meanwhile, indicator of expectation is 76.86%, it means that the expectation indicator giving a pretty good influence on the perception of YSU students on the comfort of pedestrian. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Availability of raw water is one of the problems faced in the provision of clean water services in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the quality of ordinary well water and drill water with physical parameters. The number of samples in this study were 12 drill wells and 12 ordinary wells belonging to residents in the City of Parepare and the total wells were 12 villages. The parameters observed refer to the Indonesian Minister of Health Regulation Number 479 / Menkes / Per / IV / 2010 concerning Water Quality Requirements and Supervision which includes physical parameters such as turbidity. Data collection methods used in this study were cross sectional or analyzed in South Sulawesi Provincial Health Laboratory Makassar. Based on the results of laboratory tests for measuring water quality as measured by one of the physical parameters, namely turbidity, there is a difference in value between ordinary wells and boreholes. The turbidity values measured in ordinary wells are 3 villages that do not meet the requirements of clean water quality, where all of the results are above the maximum set level of> 5 NTU, the kelurahan is watang Soreang village, Lompoe village and Galung Maloang village while the turbidity value is measured in drill wells are the result that meets the requirements of clean water quality where the results do not exceed the maximum maximum set level of 5 NTU. © 2019 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the amount of cost and use of time that has been used in the Improvement Project Street Alue Raya-Line Pipa Lhokseumawe City. The method that used in this study is the concept of yield value (earned value analysis) review trends in schedule variants and cost variants for a period during the project. By doing this earned value study method, evaluating the completion of the project with BPWP = IDR. 864.310.464,06, BCWS = IDR. 393.436.638,08, and ACWP = IDR. 591.235.630,69, in terms of cost variance (CV) > 0 with cost performance index (CPI) > 1 so that is obtained project completion cost (EAC) 68% of a budget plan that is IDR. 2.037.182.494,70, while from the schedule aspects the project is decreasing in time by 47% of plan or 16 weeks to be 9,45 weeks indicated value SPI > 1. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is one of parameters in air quality according to Indonesia Government No. 41/1999. NO2 has influence in respiratory problem of human being if it exceeds threshold level (400 μgNO2/Nm3). This study is air monitoring of NO2 concentration in ambient air and it uses a Griess Saltzman method using the spectrophotometer (Indonesia Standard SNI 19-7119.2-2005) near of Plywood Industry and Main Road. The sampling location has two points at Kalimati Village, Tirtomartani, Kalasan, Sleman, D.I Yogyakarta. On December 2016, the results show which NO2 concentration is below threshold level with 0,469 μg NO2/Nm3 at first point and 0,234 μg NO2/Nm3 at second point. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

The Manggarai Water Gate is a measurement point strategically located to measure Jakarta's flooding magnitude that keeps increasing from year to year. The 2015s gate capacity improvement underscores this importance. This paper applies a machine learning model that utilizes an atmospheric approach to predict the Manggarai water level as output. In the process, optimization is done by comparing three spatial input sizes and performing a sensitivity analysis of the input variables. Using a simple recurrent sequence, the model can predict the water level with a coefficient of determination (R2) reaching 0.7 using 18-hour recurrent data. This study can be used as the basis for further development that can take satellite data lead time advantage that is crucial for the early warning system. © 2021 IEEE.

Currently, the biggest challenges of the Indonesian Government in water sector is the availability and quality of clean water. The causes of water vulnerability are land use change, rapid population growth, climate change, as well as residential and agricultural activities. In this study, GIS was utilized as tool for determining for retention basin and infiltration well zone as groundwater and surface water conservation. Several criteria were adapted from references such as SNI 03-2453-2002 and Maryland Storm water Design Manual. Several Thematic maps were developed which are slope between 8-30%;clay soil type;open space landuse as paddy field, moor, garden, etc. for developing retention basin zone. While infiltration well zone were needed thematic maps with water table elevation more than 3 m with rock permeability > 2 cm/hr that located outside of hazard zone as well as free of potential pollution as the criteria. Retention basin and infiltration well for aquifer recharge were studied in Bantaeng Regency using GIS tool. Several criteria were set up which allowed building six thematic map and resulting recommendation of retention basin zone as well as infiltration well zone. The results of retention basin zone potentially can be built in Uluere (12.99 km2), Eremerasa (14.19 km2), Sinoa (14.33 km2), and Tompobulu (18.22 km2) districts. While the infiltration well zone are within Eremerasa (20.22 km2) Tompobulu (40.68 km2) and Uluere (45.65 km2) districts. © 2017 IEEE.
