Sugarcane bagasse is a biomass with very potential, especially in agricultural countries. In this research, a study related to pretreatment and the ratio of C/N to biogas production from sugarcane bagasse was conducted. The study was carried out on a laboratory scale with physical pretreatment by grinding with a size of 6 mesh, then biological pretreatment with the microbial consortium 5 % g/V, and variations in the C/N ratio at 25 and 30. Cow rumen fluid was used in this study as a source of anaerobic bacteria and technical urea is used to adjust the C/N ratio. The solid total is set at 7 %. Based on research that has been carried out for 60 days, it was found that physical pretreatment by grinding with a size of 6 mesh can increase biogas production. Biogas production increased both at C/N ratio conditions of 25 and 30. Furthermore, biological pretreatment with the microbial consortium 5 % g/V was proven to increase biogas production at both C/N ratios of 25 and 30. Further studies on the C/N ratio, it was found that the C/N ratio of 25 was better than the C/N ratio of 30. This is evident in several variables, including raw and fine substrate conditions, as well as on variables with or without a microbial consortium, with the amount of biogas productivity at a C/N 25 ratio of 53-90.5 % higher than the C/N 30 ratio. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd. Indonesia’s high Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and İnfant Mortality Rate (IMR) are major health concerns. In Indonesia’s 2020, MMR was 199/100,000 live births, exceeding the 2015–2030 global target of 70/100,000. Geographic Information Systems (GISs) maternal and infant health are useful in mapping and evaluating pregnant women’s locations to determine health facility access. This study aimed to describe the use of GIS to map pregnant women, risky pregnant women, and the distance to the nearest health facility in a remote rural Indonesian area. The study used descriptive quantitative surveying. This study focused on rural pregnant women in Bulukumba, South Sulawesi. The sampling method used the total population. This study uses ArcGIS to find coordinates points using latitude and longitude points. Descriptive analysis to be used maps pregnant women’s risk of accessing health facilities. Results this research, using GIS to map pregnant women, especially high-risk ones, to shelters and health facilities found 47.7% have a risk of pregnancy, 34.9% get to the hospital in 50–60 min, and 1.1% above 60 min. GIS mapping in rural pregnant women can monitor high-risk pregnancies, but it must be enhanced continuously. GIS in health, especially for mothers and children, can help the government present health equality policies by estimating distance and time to access health facilities, especially in specific geographic locations, with decreased MMR and improving maternal and child health. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Construction delays are a critical phenomenon and occur in many construction industries, including construction projects in mining companies. The most significant factor is poor communication between stakeholders, with an average severity of 60.89% affecting the success of the project. The phenomenon that occurs in mining companies, this study conducted in a mining contractor company, that the organization responsible for infrastructure management only has one supervisor with basic construction knowledge, so there is a gap of knowledge and competency between organization members that causes weak supervision and causes delay project. Previous studies suggest that knowledge management can affect project performance and improve communication with knowledge alignment within organizations. This study proposes an integrated conceptual research model to identify how knowledge management activities can be managed effectively to increase the level of project knowledge in the owner’s organization to improve project communication, as well as examine the correlation between project communication and project time performance with the mediation of knowledge management in coal mining construction projects. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Transportation of material aggregates over long distances and between islands requires a long time by changing modes of transportation. Therefore, determining a material aggregate travel trajectory model using a web database is something that can help in logistics movement analysis. This study aims to create a web-based material aggregate transportation trajectory model. The data collection method involves extracting data with Google Maps which shows distance and time indications. Next, validation is carried out in the field with a direct survey at the location. The analytical method uses statistical methods to create modeling using a linear regression model approach and statistical tests using anova. The results of the study show that the linear regression model is simple with an independent variable coefficient of 0.0306 and an R-square of 0.8649. Meanwhile, using the ANOVA test, it was stated that the modeling results were quite significant and the model could be used to make predictions. © 2024 IEEE.

The role of Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) is critical to maintain cost-efficient in smart grids, as the predictive maintenance means for ensuring their reliability. Java Bali grid is the most important power network in Indonesia, because it holds 75% energy sales and the foundation of the Indonesian government, business and industrial sectors. One method for prediction in the machine learning is the Linear Regression, as part of the Supervised Learning technique. The regression model extracts the grid overload variable from MV distribution system, where connected load (MVA) divided by the number of MV customers. The model constructs the Linear Regression function, where the slope and intercept values found from the correlation between predicted response and actual response. After confronting the function f(x) and the coefficient of determination (R2), the test results for the MTTF prediction values for Java-Bali's region shows the higher accuracy when the R2 shows highest value. © 2023 IEEE.

Technopreneurship represent a form of entrepreneurship that emphasizes entrepreneurial skills and technology. Studies on technopreneurship have been conducted, but research investigating antecedents of technopreneurship based on the entrepreneurial event model (EEM), is still limited. Most research on technopreneurship is dominated by the use of the theory of planned behavior (TPB). Therefore, this study aims to investigate the driving factors in EEM, namely perceived desirability, propensity to act, and perceived feasibility to technopreneurship intention. In addition, another purpose of this study is to explore technopreneurship intention towards technopreneurship commitment. To achieve this goal, the study used quantitative research design, primary data sources, and data collection methods using questionnaires. The sample in this study amounted to 240, with the sampling method using purposive sampling. Reliability, validity, and hypothesis testing using Smart-PLS software version 3. The results showed that perceived desirability affects technoprenurial intention, propensity to act affects technoprenurial intention, perceived feasibility affects technoprenurial intention, and technoprenurial intention affects technopreneurial commitment. © 2024 IEEE.

This article studies the efficiency of street networks of Neighborhood Planning Units. Pedestrian Route Directness quantified the NPUs’ efficiency. The sample includes ten Abu Dhabi NPUs built during two periods: pre-1990 and post-1990. Two scenarios are assessed. First, as-built streets are evaluated based on the PRD test. Second, PRD values of NPUs with different plot densities are compared. Results show that plot density does not affect efficiency. A good network design produces high efficiency regardless of its plot density. The effects of streets on efficiency were further revealed by Betweenness. Combining PRD and Betweenness yields important principles of network design. This method can be applied to assess the connectivity of streets in different contexts. Future research should focus on: How do alleys contribute to the efficiency of NPUs? How do street configurations influence the behavior of movement? And how should NPUs be evaluated as local street systems with global implications?. © 2021 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

Cianjur is one of the renowned rice producers, particularly with the presence of Pandanwangi rice that can be grown in the Cianjur area. Pandanwangi has become one of Cianjur City's icons, the rice supremacy created by Pandanwangi Cianjur's tenacity and distinctive scent (pandanus fragrance). The Interest of pandanwangi was very high, both within the town of Cianjur and outside the town of Cianjur, but this was inversely proportional to the desires of the groups of farmers who appeared to prefer to plant rice other than Pandanwangi, on the grounds that the planting of Pandanwangi had a long harvest and that the likelihood of crop failure was also very high. Problems with information flows that are not well integrated between farmers' groups, farmers' group organizations, and the Agriculture Department in adjusting land details, planting time, planting location, estimating total harvest and harvesting time. To solve this problem, a framework must be built that can integrate the information needed for Pandanwangi Cianjur Harvest Prediction with Pandanwangi farmers' regional analysis based on geographic information system technology, using Google Maps Service. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Industrial development requires accurate and reliable control technology. One of the popular control systems is PID control. This paper discusses the implementation of the PID method for ping-pong ball position control by utilizing the theory of the Coanda effect. The control system was designed using Arduino as the controller and LabVIEW as the control interface. Tests were carried out by combining set point values to determine whether the position control system worked properly or not. The test results show that the PID method combined with LabVIEW can work well with the results of the PID control test at successive heights of 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, and 35 cm obtained rise time (tr) 3.49 seconds, 4.58 seconds, 9.08 sec, 9.92 sec, and 8.84 sec. The average tolerance is 1.5 cm for the upper limit and 1 cm for the lower limit. © 2023 IEEE.

Corrosion poses a significant challenge in industries due to material degradation and high maintenance costs, making effective inhibitors essential. Recent studies suggest expired pharmaceuticals as alternative corrosion inhibitors, but identifying the most efficient compounds can be time-consuming. This study applies machine learning models, particularly Gradient Boosting Regressor (GBR), to predict corrosion inhibition efficiency (CIE). The developed model is integrated into a web-based application, enabling real-time, accurate CIE predictions. Results show GBR as the more precise model for predicting CIE, with low error rates. The streamlit-based web application offers a user-friendly platform, facilitating quick identification of suitable inhibitors. It is flexible, supporting analysis beyond corrosion inhibitors, and significantly enhances the efficiency of the evaluation process. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
