The mechanical properties of the material is affected by the microstructure, and the microstructure is determined by the cooling time. This research aims to evaluate the effect of varying quenching media on cooling time and microstructures of leaf spring steel AISI 5160. The leaf spring steel AISI 5160 was heat-treated at 850 oC for 30 minutes and was cooled in the varying quenching media. The quenching media were oil, water, water 1 L + soap 10 g, water 1 L + soap 15 g, water 1 L + soap 25 g, water 1 L + urea 10 g, water 1 L + urea 15 g, water 1 L + urea 25 g sand, air, and furnace. The cooling times were calculated by newton's law of cooling and heating equation, the microstructures were observed by an optical light microscope, and the percentages of martensite and retained austenite in the material were calculated by Optimas software. The results show that the fastest cooling time is 20.20 s cooled in water 1 L + urea 25 gr, and the longest cooling time is 82800 s cooled in the furnace. The microstructures of the material were martensite and retained austenite when the materials are cooled in a water and oil base quenching media. The microstructures were ferrite and pearlite when the materials are cooled in air, sand, and the furnace. The lowest percentage of the martensite is 78.4 % cooled in oil quenching media, and the highest percentage of the martensite is 94.4 % cooled in water + urea 25 g.

For operating and maintaining dam activities, there is an activity serving the main function, The Assessment of Dam Condition to make it the main building well-monitored and maintained. In addition to having many advantages, dam also hides a big potential hazard. For the dam to function maximally, good maintenance and evaluation are required. Delingan Dam in Karanganyar Regency was constructed by Dutch Government since 1920. This research employed case study approach to evaluate the physical condition of dam for Delingan Dam at 2019. This research aimed to excuse the physical condition of dam, viewed from the component dam body so that component weight is assumed to be 100%. The method employed in this research was descriptive qualitative one. The result of physical assessment of Delingan Dam body obtained score of 91.63%, indicating that the physical condition of Delingan Dam in 2019 is good (condition score o >90% - 100% and damage level < 10%). To maintain physical condition of Delingan dam, it is recommended to operate and to maintain the dam maximally.

Used cooking oil is the largest waste that can be converted into biofuel as a renewable alternative energy source with catalytic cracking process. In this study, used cooking oil was cracked using a Cr-Carbon catalyst. The charcoal was produced from solid waste (shell) of oil palm industry. Three different chromium concentrations (1, 2, and 3%) were used for the ion-exchange process of Cr-charcoal to produce the catalyst. These catalysts were used for the catalytic cracking of used cooking oil at three levels of temperature (450, 500, and 550°C). X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis were used for catalyst characterization. SEM-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) analysis indicates that Cr was successfully adsorbed into the catalyst. The highest oil fraction was obtained from catalytic cracking of used cooking oil at 450°C using Cr-charcoal catalyst synthesized using 1% Cr solution.

Using the lateral stiffener system, outrigger & belt truss is one of alternative to reduce the period of fundamental vibrate, displacement, and inter-story drift on high-rise building due to earthquake. The method that used to analysis structure performance, either it used an outrigger & belt truss system or not in post-elastic seismic load condition is nonlinear static analysis with pushover. The result of pushover analysis which shown the performance of building structure when an earthquake occurs, known as performnace based design. This research use 4 models building (A-B- C-D) with 62 floors of tower and 6 floors of podium, has dual system portal combination with particular concrete shear-wall and located in the City of Jakarta which soft soil categorize. Building A doesn't has outrigger & belt truss, meanwhile building B has it and the material of both buildings are reinforcement concrete structure. Building C doesn't has outrigger & belt truss, meanwhile building D has it and the material of both buildings are profile steel structure. Seismic load design based on Source Map and Indonesian Earthquake Danger 2017 in analysis was determine as seismic repeat load which has possibility to become bigger during age of building structure (50 years), 2 %. Building A and B has Immediately Occupancy performance level, building C is Damage Control and building D has Immediately Occupancy performance.

Cities in Southeast Asia frequently face urban floods, and transportation is often disrupted due to road closures. To reduce road transport vulnerability, the road network should be properly adapted for the flooding condition. To generate suitable adaptation measures for road transportation, travel behaviors under flooding condition, and their differences under normal conditions should be clarified. We aimed to understand the changes in travel behaviors caused by urban floods to compare with normal and flooding conditions in Ubon Ratchathani City, Thailand. A questionnaire survey was applied to understand the travel behaviors under both conditions, and its comparison revealed that under flooding, people prefer early departure time, and reduce the trip frequency depending on trip purpose. Moreover, we compared the route choice behaviors under both conditions using geographic information system (GIS) from collected data. Comparison with travel behaviors under both conditions, we clarified the change in travel behaviors under flooding and that differed from the affected extent depending on trip purpose.

A study was done on treatment of raw water sources for drinking water using chitosan/Mg-Al LDH (CS/Mg/Al–LDH) composites by adsorption process. An analysis on the adsorbent characterizations of FTIR, SEM and XRF showed that the CS/Mg/Al–LDH had many different functional groups and a high specific surface area for adsorption processes. The CS/Mg/Al–LDH showed high adsorption uptake capacity and selectivity for iron (Fe), turbidity, and colour in the raw water sources for drinking water in Municipal Waterworks in Banjarmasin. Therefore, the CS/Mg/Al–LDH composites have the potential to be used as an adsorbent in water and wastewater treatment.

Every supply chain activity in a company is not separated from risk, therefore risk management in a company is strongly required for risk handling. PT. X is a manufacturing company that produces food flavors. Dependence with suppliers and consumers causes uncertainty in the company's supply chain flow. This uncertainty can lead to adverse effects called risk. Risk can be minimized by carrying out risk management. This study aimed to design a risk management by identifying risk events from the company's business processes based on Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR), to determine the causes of priority risks and then identifying risk mitigation strategies using House of Risk stage 1 (HOR1), and ranking risk mitigation strategies by considering company criteria in determining risk mitigation strategies using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). From the results of the study, 21 risk events dan 13 priority risk causes' identified, and 9 risk mitigation strategies' determined. Risk mitigation strategies' rank sequentially were conducting briefings and evaluations every day, coordinating with suppliers continuously, making signboards at the warehouse, tightening the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), providing ongoing training, evaluating supplier performance, monitoring more frequently, demand management with considering safety stock and service levels, and had supplier reserves. So, this study suggests PT.X to implement the risk mitigation strategies for minimizing the risks in the company.
