The complete mitochondrial genome of spotted snakehead fish,Channa punctata(Bloch 1793) was determined by MiSeq platform. The genome was 16,409 bp in length, in which canonical 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNAs, 2 rRNAs, and a control region (D-Loop) were encoded. Relatively higher overall A + T contents (53.70%) was identified compared with G + C contents (46.30%). Among 13 protein-coding genes, only one unusual start condon (GTG) was identified in COX1, whereas six genes includingCOXII,COXIII,NAD2,NAD3,NAD4, andCytbwere ended with the incomplete stop codons (TA-/T–). Based on the currently identified mitogenomes of Channa fish species,C. punctatawas most closely related toChanna gachuawith 82% sequence identity.

Fishing can be done in various ways, including by utilizing lights as fishing tools. The lights used for fishing tools are varied, ranging from torch lights, pressure paraffin lamp, fluorescent lamps (TL, PL, SL, CFL), mercury, and various types of led. However, light transition between one colors to another often scares the fish, driving them out of catchable area shocked by the color change. One solution to address this problem is by smoothly switching the color of the lamp using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) system on the microcontroller. The color used are the lamp with basic colors of red, green and blue. With power capacity of 50Watt/12Volt, this lamp is classified as High Power Led (HPL) lamp. The light can be free- adjusted, where each lamp can be turned on by its own light or can also be turned on in combination. It can slowly be switch on from an off position to maximum and also can be dimmed from maximum to off. Thus the intensity of the light can be controlled. The HPL and control sections were created separately. Tools and materials used are consist of push-button, microcontroller, optocoupler, mosfet and Red, Green and Blue HPL, Radio-meter (ILT5000 Research Radiometer), Voltmeter, and Amperemeter. The method used was experimental in both laboratory and field. The result of research is in the form of RGB HPL lamp which can be adjusted through control system, such as adjusment for each lamp, or light combination with smooth color transition. Thus, when this technology is applied as fishing tool in liftnet fishing, the targeted fish would still remain on catchable area.

Soft clay is soil that need microscopic to sub microscopic size originating from the chemical weathering of rock compilers. Clay soil is very hard in a dry state and is plastic at moderate water content. At higher water contents the clay soil is sticky (cohesive) and very soft. Soil stabilization is an effort to improve the quality of the soil by using certain materials to increase soil strength. Soil stabilization is the process of mixing soil with certain materials to improve the technical properties of the soil and is an attempt to change or improve the technical properties of the soil to meet certain technical requirements of the soil carrying capacity. This research is an experimental study to determine the carrying capacity of clay soil stability using volcanic ash deposits and tailings instead of cement. The research variables are volcanic ash deposits which is locked of 8% and tailings with the variation of 4%, 5%, 6% and ripening for 3 days, 7 days and 14 days. The benefits of this experimental study are expected to get the carrying capacity of the soil from stabilized soil greater than the carrying capacity of the original soil by the unconfined compression test (UCS).

This study aims to find out how much the needs of personal competence, basic knowledge, and work skills of vocational graduates Construction and Property Technology Expertise program by the world of Construction Services Industry which is engaged in the Field Supervision Consultant. The method used to select the sample is the quota sampling and snowball sampling method where the sample is 15 companies with a population of 136 companies. The results of this study draw conclusions as follows: (1) overall competence of vocational school graduates construction and property technology expertise program included in the 'very needed' category with value of 81,52 (2) personal competence included in the 'very needed' category with value of 86,59, (3) basic knowledge competence included in the 'needed' category with value of 80,52, and (4) competence of work skills is included in the 'needed' category with a value of 78.60.

Globalization had increased global economic activity, including production, trade and distribution activities in developing countries, especially in Asia. The increasing of trade traffic and cargo transportation in archipelago country like Indonesia, requires the utilization of sea lanes. This study was aimed to present the suitability of ship design to be passengers transportation in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The proposed design should be in accordance with the conditions of Berau which has 6 districts crossed by the river which still lack of transportation facilities. This research proposed an optimal ship design that can be used as a reference for renewable ships in Berau waters. This study produced a watershed design analysis concept as part of the reference and boundary dimensions of the ship. The obtained main size of the ship using linear regression method was total length of 12.5 meters, 3 meters wide, 1.5 meters high, and 0.6 meters full of water. Resistance analysis using the Savitsky method showed the engine capacity of 2x150 pk with a service speed of 25 knots. Maximum speed of 30 knots with a distance of 57.32 mill can be reached with 2 hours service speed and 1 hour 40 minutes at a maximum speed of 30 knots with the resistance value 12.8 kN. The total estimated budget for the production of this ship was Rp 1.773.656.800. This design may be adopted as an integrated reference for the procurement of transportation facilities for passenger ships, especially in the Berau river.

Maintenance and rehabilitation as parts of pavement's life cycle become more important since it's an effort to restore the road condition as planned. This process will produce the emission of greenhouse gases that give an impact to the environment. The Live Cycle Assessment (LCA) was used to estimate the GHG's emissions. With LCA we could identify the unit process that will produce the GHG's emissions during maintenance and rehabilitation of road pavement. This research aimed to identify the unit processes of the maintenance and rehabilitation of rigid and flexible pavement and to analyse the amount of GHG emitted during this process. Four local roads in Indonesia were investigated as case studies. The result indicated the amount of energy of the unit processes as well as the GHG amount. This will lead to the identification of the hotspot of flexible and rigid pavement maintenance process. In rigid pavement maintenance activities, the hotspots included the asphalt transport process to asphalt mixing plant, cement transportation to the batching plant, and cement processing. Meanwhile, in flexible pavement maintenance activities, the hotspots were the asphalt transportation to asphalt mixing plant, transportation aggregate, and transportation to site.

Lighting design is one of the priorities in designing buildings. Natural lighting can reduce energy consumption in buildings. Aesthetic levels are the basis of the planning concept, but need to pay attention to the concept of using natural lighting, in order to realize the energy-efficient building design. The purpose of the study was to determine how the level of illuminance affects the opening area, depth of space and height of the building. Quantitative research method is to analysis statistical data from measurements of illuminance levels in space. The results of the study concluded that the level of illuminance in the meeting room of the Center of Technology building in Hasanuddin University exceeded the illuminance standard. The extent of openings in the building envelope affects the illuminance level in space. Natural light distribution affects the height of the building's floor and the depth of space. Based on this conclusion, it is expected that in designing a building it is necessary to pay attention to the building facade, so that the distribution of natural light is not too high into the building and to avoid negative effects such as glare, high brightness and contrast.
