The representatives of student associations at Private University are entrusted with the responsibility of empowering, facilitating, and nurturing the growth of the students, lecturers, and alumni within their respective programs. If the elected representatives do not align with the general consensus, problems are bound to arise. Therefore, student participation during the annual voting period is of utmost importance. When voting participation is low, the risk of the majority voice not being heard increases. Data from the General Election Commission in the private university reveals that among the four student associations in the Tech and IT faculty, three of them have a participation rate lower than 50%.This research aims to develop an E-Voting system for Student Associations within the university, with the intention of replacing the currently utilized Google Form system and enhancing student participation in future voting periods. While constructing an electronic voting system, the security and confidentiality of participants are vital. The Paillier homomorphic encryption algorithm is employed in the system to encrypt and decrypt voting messages sent by voters, ensuring their confidentiality. This algorithm was chosen due to its relative recency, speed, and relevance to this research in comparison to other algorithms. A user acceptance test conducted using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has demonstrated that the application has been successfully developed, with user assessments of 87.50% for perceived ease of use, 72.27% for perceived usefulness, 74.74% for behavioral intention, and 86.46% for actual usage.

A new VGOS (VLBI Global Observing System) radio telescope will be constructed at Bosscha Observatory Lembang, West Java, in cooperation between Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO) and Institut Teknologi Bandung. One of the preparation steps is to conduct RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) measurements to obtain the RFI environment from the vicinity of the observatory. In this work, we report preliminary measurements of the RFIs that were done for several days in August and September 2023. Instruments used includes: A-INFOTM LB-20180 horn antenna, Wright TechnologiesTM low noise amplifier, and AaroniaTM Spectran V5 80200 OEM spectrum analyzer. The frequency range of 2.0 - 18.0 GHz is targeted referring to VGOS frequencies. Measurements in one day are carried out for about 24 hours in eight cardinal directions and two polarizations. The results and analysis are presented in spectral power flux density plots. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The available of conventional fuels are fluctuating depend on distribution from the source production to consumer. The availability of biogas as renewable energy is increasing due to establishments of many organic wastes processing worldwide. The need of electricity to support daily life activity is a must, but the availability of electric source in remote area is limited especially for a farm that far away from commercial line distribution of electricity. This work is dedicated to solve this problem. The single cylinder 4 stroke spark ignition engine (83 cc) was designed to be able to be fuelled flexibly by using biogas or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), or gasoline if sometime the biogas not available during initiation of the process or during maintenance of anaerobic digester. The engine is still can be run to provide electricity by using conventional fuel such as LPG or gasoline. The full consumption as well as emission of this flexible fuel engine was investigated. It is found that the fuel consumption is 9.97 L/mint for Biogas, 0.004 L/mint for gasoline and 2.24 L/mint for LPG. Surprisingly by using biogas the emission of carbon monoxide (CO) was down to almost zero (0.02 ppm), comparing gasoline 0.32 ppm, and LPG 0.4 ppm. © 2021 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.

Background: Propolis from Sulawesi's stingless bees (Tetragonula biroi) contains antioxidants, more flavonoids than propolis from Apis bees, and the antibacterial ability. Objective: to examine the antibacterial properties of Propolis Nanoemulsion Extract (PNE), which is extracted from the Celebes Stingless Bee (T. biroi), in relation to the periodontopathogen bacteria such as Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn), Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg), Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans (Aa), and Provotella intermedia (Pi). This investigation also examines PNE's phytochemistry, particle size analysis (PSA), and zeta potential. Methods: The maceration process with 96 % ethanol was used to create PNE from Celebes stingless bee (T. biroi), which was then subjected to zeta potential measurement and PSA. Phytochemical analysis was used to identify phytochemical constituents in the PNE (T. biroi). Diffusion zone, minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC), and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) were used to assess antibacterial efficacy against Aa, Pg, Pi, and Fn. Furthermore, the statistical analysis was used to extract the data. Results: Phenols, alkaloids, and flavonoids were identified;however, triterpenoids and saponins were not. Between 151.28 and 182.2 diameter nanometers (***) was the range of the PNE's diameter. At 1.56 % propolis (T. biroi) concentration, the MIC, MBC, and diffusion zone analysis performed better than at 0.76 %, with a significant difference (p:0.01;p < 0.05) to Aa, Pg, Pi, and Fn. Conclusions: The highest antibacterial activity against Aa, Pg, Pi, and Fn as periodontopathogen bacteria is demonstrated by alkaloids, flavonoids, and phenols in PNE from Celebes (T. biroi) at a concentration of 1.56 %. © 2025 The Authors

The foundation erection work is a job that has a high enough complexity. In making the decision of the type of pile and the method of erection, practitioners have many choices with various conditions in the field. Decision making will result in an impact during the foundation erection process. This study aims to analyze what are the impacts caused by the choice of pole type and piling method. A preliminary survey was conducted together with four experts to verify and reduce the 11 impact indicators obtained from the literature study, obtained 6 impact indicators which are quite relevant according to experts and will be used in the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey was conducted on 45 practitioner respondents who had carried out foundation building work. Data analysis validity and reliability tests were carried out on the questionnaire data. It was concluded that there were three main impacts that occurred due to the choice of the type of foundation pile and the piling method, namely environmental impact, economic impact, and social impact. The main impacts are broken down into six impacts including the use of fuel, ground vibration, fuel and material costs, equipment and labor costs, workplace safety, and noise. © Published under licence by IOPPublishing Ltd.

Indonesia has entered a period of demographic bonus. Human resources must be optimized. The number of children who do not in employment, education or training (NEET) in each province needs attention. Several factors that could contribute to the decline in the NEET percentage are literacy rates and the number of adolescents with computer skills. Increasing these two factors is believed to be able to reduce the percentage of NEET in every province in Indonesia. To find out the relationship between these two factors and how much influence they have on the percentage of NEET, this research is modeled by Cauchy regression and includes spatial effects. The results of the analysis show that the best model is when the spatial effect is modeled by Fernandez Steel Skew Normal conditionally autoregressive (FSSN CAR). This result is seen from the smallest value of the Watanabe Akaike Information Criterion (WAIC) in this model, which is 190.5. The parameter estimated shows that the higher the literacy rate and the number of adolescents with computer skills, the lower the percentage of NEET in each province in Indonesia. The results of this research can be useful for the Indonesian government to increase the number of educational facilities related to these two factors. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). The aims of this research are: (1) producing a mobile applications android based for sensor and transducer field of study on vocational education;(2) know the quality of the product mobile applications android based for sensor and transducer field study on vocational education. The method used is the Software Development Life Cycle with the Waterfall model. The stages in Waterfall model are: (1) requirements definition;(2) system and software design;(3) implementation and unit testing;(4) integration and system testing;(5) operation and maintenance. The black box test results show the performance of Sensor application software can all function properly. While the results of the compatibility test show the application can run on various android systems (at least Android 4.2). © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Learning media is one of the learning tools that is needed so that the learning process can run smoothly and students can have competencies in accordance with the expected competency goals. This paper discusses: (1) developing a Human Machine Interface (HMI) training kit as a learning medium in the Industrial Automation engineering Practical Course;(2) the performance of the HMI training kit;(3) the feasibility of the HMI training kit based on the assessment of media experts, material experts and student responses as training kit users. In developing this training kit using the ADDIE model which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Data collection was carried out by testing the performance of the media, and giving a questionnaire to media experts to assess the feasibility of the media aspect, a material expert questionnaire to assess the appropriateness of the material and a questionnaire to determine student responses as users. The data were analyzed by means of quantitative descriptive analysis which were then categorized. The result of this development is HMI practice learning media for industrial automation engineering practice courses which consist of HMI practice hardware, and jobsheets. The performance of the HMI training kit for input and output parameters, visualization of engine control in the form of buttons, sliders, output visualization, indicator lights, and overall graphics have a 100% correct performance. Based on media experts, design aspects, technical aspects and usefulness aspects were rated very well, so that overall the media aspect received an assessment in the very proper category Based on material experts, technical aspects and aspects of usefullness received an assessment in the very good category, so that overall the material aspect received an assessment in the very proper category. This study focused on the modulus of rupture (MOR) for high strength self-compacting concrete (SCC) using varied metakaolin (MK) composition. The MOR significantly contributes to the resilience and mechanical performance of the rigid pavement, and is enhanced by modifying the regular concrete material. In addition, the MK is known to be potentially economical and occurs abundantly as natural resources. Plain concrete beams with dimensions 400 x 100 x 100 mm3, were tested in the laboratory in an effort to measure the MOR from varied MK composition for each specimen or modified concrete type. The result showed the MOR increase is exclusively as a result of additional metakaolin. Also, the newly modified material was proven to offer more advantages when applied as rigid pavement material. Furthermore, the analytical laboratory result showed the optimum MK dosage was estimated at 20% of the binder weight. This subsequently enhances the MOR by 17.28% compared to non-MK concrete. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Utilizing biomass waste as a potential resource for cellulose production holds promise in mitigating environmental *** current study aims to utilize pineapple biowaste extract in producing bacterial cellulose acetate-based membranes with magnetic nanoparticles(Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles)through the fermentation and esterification process and explore its *** bacterial cellulose fibrillation used a high-pressure homogenization procedure,and membranes were developed incorporating 0.25,0.50,0.75,and 1.0 wt.%of Fe3O4 nanoparticles as magnetic nanoparticle for *** membrane characteristics were measured in terms of Scanning Electron Microscope,X-ray diffraction,Fourier Transform Infrared,Vibrating Sample Magnetometer,antibacterial activity,bacterial adhesion and dye adsorption *** results indicated that the surface morphology of membrane changes where the bacterial cellulose acetate surface looks *** crystallinity index of membrane increased from 54.34%to 68.33%,and the functional groups analysis revealed that multiple peak shifts indicated alterations in membrane functional ***,adding Fe_(3)O_(4)-NPs into membrane exhibits paramagnetic behavior,increases tensile strength to 73%,enhances activity against *** and ***,and is successful in removing bacteria from wastewater of the river to 67.4%and increases adsorption for anionic dyes like Congo Red and Acid Orange.
